OpenAI and its major investor, Microsoft, are embroiled in lawsuits alleging unauthorized use of copyrighted works for training AI models. In the Manhattan federal court, authors Nicholas Basbanes and Nicholas Gage have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its partners for allegedly using their nonfiction works to train AI models without permission.
