A serial conman named Babu, alias Adapa Shiva Shankar Babu, targeted wealthy and divorced women, marrying seven of them for financial gain. After extracting substantial sums of money, he cheated on his wives and fled. Three of the victims continued to reside in the same neighborhood. Claiming connections with Andhra Pradesh minister Ambati Rambabu and BJP leader Srikanth, Babu deceived educated, working-class women in Hyderabad through matchmaking websites. Posing as an IT professional, he used false documents and promises of a high salary. Two victims, speaking at a press conference, urged authorities to take strict action. Babu faces multiple cases in police stations across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
