Shire presidents criticise WA liquor restriction proposal for lacking uniformity in Broome, Derby

The State Government says proposed tough new liquor restrictions in the Kimberley towns of Broome and Derby are needed to address unprecedented alcohol-fuelled violence plaguing the communities. But local councils want a uniform approach across the Kimberley while the liquor industry and businesses fear it would be ineffective labelling the move a backward step.
