More wet weather hits Queensland as BOM warns of intense rainfall, heavy showers, possible flash flooding

Increased funding for disaster recovery has been announced for residents in the south-east and far north as ongoing wild weather continues to hamper the recovery effort. Thunderstorms brought heavy rain to parts of the south-east this morning. Residents are becoming increasingly concerned the saturated ground will make the region even more prone to flash-flooding.
