00:15 My entire life I've struggled with self-acceptance.

00:18 I've always had a passion for music and performing...

00:21 ..but I hated the way that I look.

00:25 This whole concept of the mask happened.

00:27 I would masquerade my face, but I'd still be able to love what I do.

00:35 America's Got Talent was the first time that I really felt validated.

00:39 They just said they loved me.

00:41 They loved my voice.

00:43 Then live shows came and it kind of just crumbled a little bit.

00:50 I had to perform from Australia, which was so hard.

01:00 It was so heartbreaking.

01:02 I think cos I was on such a roll.

01:04 I felt like I was finding myself through this show

01:07 and it just kind of halted.

01:29 I was a grand finalist at the Eurovision Song Contest.

01:31 I've appeared in Vogue, Rolling Stone, Billboard.

01:35 That's kind of why I wanted to come back as well.

01:36 I think the whole world has seen me in these masks for years and years.
