00:00 Karen has always been my favourite character just because I think she's, you know, undeniably the nicest of the Mean Girls.
00:06 And she's sweet and charismatic and kind and I've loved her always.
00:11 And so to be able to take on, I guess your favourite part from the movie is nothing short of a dream come true.
00:17 I think, especially being South Asian, I think it's also really quite amazing to be able to play a character
00:26 who's a little bit against the grain and a little bit against the stereotype that Indians or South Asians typically tend to play.
00:33 And so I'm very excited to also be kind of perceived, I guess, in a new, more updated way and to kind of break barriers in that sense.
00:41 I'm also excited to kind of bring something new to the character.
00:45 And with the advent of social media, a lot has changed.
00:48 And so I think it'll be fun for audiences, at least this generation, to see themselves a little bit more clearly in this film than the original.
