$5 million tourism recovery scheme for Far North Queensland

Far north Queensland’s businesses are getting back to normal all they need now, is tourists. Travellers are being lured to the cyclone-ravaged region with the promise of cheap airfares and accommodation. As Queensland recovers from natural disasters at opposite ends of the state the government's put a figure on the damage bill for the first time: at least 2 billion dollars.
