LUKE HUMPHRIES' girlfriend was crying after his PDC World Darts Championship triumph.

The new world number one roared back from 4-2 down to beat Luke Littler 7-4 at Alexandra Palace on Wednesday night.

He checked out 16 to clinch the 11th set and the match after his dramatic comeback.

Humphries immediately sunk to his knees on stage before the cameras panned to the crowd.

His friends and family could be seen celebrating, with his girlfriend Kayley Jones sitting down as her emotions got the better of her.

She put her hands to her face and looked in tears with another member of Humphries' entourage checking she was okay.

The 28-year-old himself was also visibly emotional on stage as he embraced Littler before celebrating his victory.

He also shared a touching moment with retiring referee Russ Bray after his final World Championship match.

Kayley had supported Humphries throughout the tournament as he picked up his first world title.

The pre-tournament favorite has reportedly been with his partner since they were teenagers.

Humphries and Kayley have two children, Grace, born in 2013, and Rowan Ellis, born on October 9, 2022, live together in Crewe, Cheshire.

It is unclear whether Kayley had her firstborn child, Grace, with her darts champ partner or with a former partner, as some online sources say Luke became a father for the first time in 2022.

Cool Hand Luke is now a four-time major winner after entering 2023 without one to his name.

His World Championship triumph follows the World Grand Prix, Grand Slam, and Players Championship victories.
