Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 282 (Arabic Recitation): “ ذَٰلِكُمۡ أَقۡسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقۡوَمُ لِلشَّهَٰدَةِ وَأَدۡنَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَرۡتَابُوٓاْ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَٰرَةً حَاضِرَةٗ تُدِيرُونَهَا بَيۡنَكُمۡ فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ أَلَّا تَكۡتُبُوهَاۗ وَأَشۡهِدُوٓاْ إِذَا تَبَايَعۡتُمۡۚ ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 282 (English Translation): “ That is more just in the sight of Allāh and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 282 (Urdu Translation): “ اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک یہ بات بہت انصاف والی ہے اور گواہی کو بھی درست رکھنے والی اور شک و شبہ سے بھی زیادہ بچانے والی ہے، ہاں یہ اور بات ہے کہ وہ معاملہ نقد تجارت کی شکل میں ہو جو آپس میں تم لین دین کر رہے ہو تو تم پر اس کے نہ لکھنے میں کوئی گناہ نہیں۔ ”
The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC). Surah Al-Baqarah is the second chapter of the Quran.
