Flooding Causes Cancellation of Fourteen Trains, Stranding Holiday Travelers || Short News

At least fourteen Eurostar trains were canceled on Saturday, December 30, due to track flooding in the south of England. The disruptions, occurring during one of the busiest weekends of the year, will leave thousands of passengers stranded. Flooding in both railway tunnels near Ebbsfleet International led to the closure of both tunnels, impacting train services between St. Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International. The cancellations follow a surprise strike that paralyzed the Channel Tunnel earlier in December, causing significant travel disruptions.
