00:12 The MACC said it had never issued any statement accusing Daim of committing any offences.

00:18 They said they had opened an investigation paper on the matter in February and issued

00:23 a notice to Daim on June 7, as provided by the law.

00:27 They said they requested for a statement to be made by Daim to declare his assets, which

00:31 are inside or outside Malaysia, within 30 days.

00:35 They said Daim had applied for five extensions and he was granted the extensions with the

00:39 final extension on November 14 for him to declare his assets.

00:43 Daim hit out at the MACC probe on him and his family, saying that it is a political

00:48 witch hunt.

00:50 This comes after the MACC seized the Menara Ilham building, which is owned by Daim and

00:54 his family in Kuala Lumpur last week.
