In a historic moment, over 1.5 lakh people from the Suryavanshi Kshatriya community, residing in 105 villages around Ayodhya, are set to break a 500-year-old tradition on January 22. The Suryavanshi Kshatriya community had pledged not to wear turbans, leather shoes, and use umbrellas until the reconstruction of the Ram Temple, which was destroyed centuries ago. With the grand temple in Ayodhya nearing completion, the community is ready to fulfil the vow made by their ancestors.
