00:31 So as curious folk, they wanted to get a better look at the creatures.

00:41 As they got closer, they began to wonder if what they were seeing was actually a bear.

00:46 So they kept their distance.

00:48 As the footage shows, obscured by branches, it does appear bear-esque.

00:53 But then the dark shape stands up sharply.

00:55 Now it looks more like the legendary Bigfoot.

00:58 Understandably, the campers were spooked enough to sprint away from the imposing figure.

01:26 This time, a hiker was in the woods when they spotted an intimidating figure walking among

01:30 some trees before it kneeled down.

01:38 Even hearing the filmer's frightened breathing is nerve-wracking.

01:41 But it gets worse.

01:42 The figure, seemingly realizing the company, stands up suddenly and throws what appears

01:47 to be a rather large rock.

01:49 Of course, with such a display from an unknown creature with a big build, the person runs

02:02 Allegheny Bigfoot In 2007, hunter Rick Jacobs set up a trail

02:06 camera against a tree in the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania.

02:11 Yet when he examined the footage, it wasn't the typical creatures of the forest that caught

02:16 Instead, there was a spooky snap of a bizarre gorilla-esque beast that wandered across the

02:21 frame.

02:22 The Bigfoot research organization to whom Jacobs sent the image claimed it looked like

02:26 a juvenile Sasquatch.

02:28 However, not everyone believes that to be the case.

02:31 Representatives from the Pennsylvania Game Commission stated that the photo seems to

02:35 be of a bear with some kind of skin disease like mange.

02:44 The Pricey Study In 2013, in Dallas, Texas, the Sasquatch Genome

02:49 Project hosted a news conference where they went public with a series of clips and evidence

02:54 to demonstrate that Sasquatches do indeed exist.

03:05 The group had spent five years collecting proof and analyzing footage from another investigation

03:09 known as the Erickson Project.

03:11 The studied clips included footage of an apparent juvenile Bigfoot walking through a forest,

03:16 while another purported to show a sleeping Sasquatch.

03:20 All this in-depth research and data collection had cost the SGP a hefty $500,000.

03:50 Digging Skunk Ape In 2013, a man named Josh Highcliffe was hunting

03:55 in the swamps near Tunica, Mississippi.

03:57 As he waited until it got darker while dressed in camouflage, he heard a noise and went to

04:05 Instead, Highcliffe spotted a black furry creature crouched near a tree, seemingly stripping

04:10 it of its bark or digging at its roots, perhaps for truffles?

04:15 Only when it stood up did the hunter get scared enough to take off.

04:23 Highcliffe was adamant that the 7-foot beast wasn't a bear.

04:27 Instead, he believed it to be a skunk ape, a creature that is sometimes another name

04:31 for Bigfoot, or a similar species that lives in swamps in the southeast of the US.

04:44 This time, we have a drone to thank for a clip that took the internet by storm in 2022.

04:49 YouTube channel Ken's Carpentry went to find a bear and her two cubs in the Vermont

04:54 woods before spotting something he didn't know what to make of.

05:04 He sent a drone up to investigate and shortly into the flight, instead of spotting a cute

05:08 bear family, Ken captured what appears to be a bipedal beast strolling through the trees

05:13 without a worry in the world.

05:15 TikTok accounts and other social media users believe this to be the real deal and proof

05:20 of Bigfoot.

05:21 However, it's not.

05:22 It was reported to be a joke by Ken's Carpentry, who had previously released a video of someone

05:31 in a Bigfoot costume helping build a cabin.

05:42 The Trail Snap In 2012, Craig Sulk had set up a trail camera

05:47 on his property in Menominee, Michigan to help monitor quarry.

05:51 However, as he examined the footage, one particular shot among the deer called for a closer look.

05:57 In one frame, a bizarre primate-like figure can be spotted obscured by trees, seemingly

06:02 stalking prey.

06:09 Sulk believed he had photographed the famous Sasquatch.

06:12 He sent the image to the TV show Finding Bigfoot, which he was a fan of and who did an episode

06:17 on his find.

06:18 Even news programs put out segments on his discovery.

06:21 Sulk's image inspired a lot of viewers, who contacted him to recount their tales of

06:27 interacting with the mythical beast.

06:29 Unfortunately, Sulk passed away from cancer in 2021, but his contribution to the Bigfoot

06:34 community lives on.

06:44 The Monster of Marble Mountain In 2001, Christian youth group leader Jim

06:48 Mills took the kids on a backpacking trip in the Marble Mountains of Northern California.

06:53 Bizarrely, they came across a shelter made of vegetation.

06:57 Nearby branches were snapped and claw marks were spotted on trees.

07:05 But it got weirder as something on the mountain caught their attention.

07:08 As the camera zooms in, a very tall figure can be seen walking down a ridge, apparently

07:13 getting more and more agitated as it makes its way closer.

07:22 Immediately the kids and Mills believe it's Bigfoot due to its longer than average arms

07:26 and unique gait.

07:28 The footage didn't really gain any traction until 2011, a year after Mills sadly passed

07:38 Family of Bigfoots During the 80s, Paul Freeman was working

07:42 for the US Forest Service when he claimed he came across an 8-foot tall Bigfoot.

07:46 He even took plaster casts of its footprint, which experts apparently deemed were likely

07:51 from an unknown species.

07:57 From that day onward, Freeman vowed to get indisputable proof of the creature's existence.

08:02 In the early 90s, while filming in the woods near the Blue Mountains in Washington, he

08:06 found more unusual footprints to make casts from.

08:10 As Freeman walked further into the brush, however, he seemingly spotted a Sasquatch

08:13 in the distance, entirely unconcerned about Freeman's presence.

08:20 A few moments later, he erupts saying there are actually two of them.

08:27 What became known as the Freeman footage, this recording was praised by many as definitive

08:57 footage was shot along Bluff Creek, part of the Klamath River in Orleans, California.

09:02 Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, who both believed in the legend, decided to shoot a fictional

09:07 film in the wilderness on horseback.

09:09 The plot, of course, revolved around finding the creature.

09:13 However, during the filming, they said they got real evidence of a female Bigfoot strolling

09:17 by, who even turns to look at the camera as it continues its stride.

09:21 This short clip captured the public's imagination.

09:24 The filmmakers were adamant that the footage was completely real and believed they had

09:28 captured proof of the beast's existence.
