Waves Of Joy : Family Fun in Desaru

This Christmas Holiday, I made a last minute trip to Desaru, Bandar Penawar in Johor state because I wanted my kids to have a fun filled trip that they can remember. Basically nothing was planned, just go with the flow. It was amazing.
Desaru is very famous for seafood. Upon arrival, we checked into our very affordable apartment, Pangsapuri Desaru Utama, that we booked on Booking. Then we head straight to Super Lobster Restaurant. It's very highly rated and very famous. Price was reasonable and food was divine. Feel free to just Google it or Waze it. At night we went to SKS City Mall, which is a community mall in the area. It's clean and convenient.
Second day, we had breakfast at Kedai Kopi Otai. It was great! We spent most of our second day at Adventure Water Park Desaru Coast, @AdventureWaterparkDesaruCoast tickets bought from Klook. Although it's already school holiday, but this week, many parents are still working. So the park was not too packed. And because it's not packed, we get to go on those fun rides many times. It was super fun, so happy. Our kids loved it. For dinner, we went to Lotus Seafood Restaurant at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort and Spa. Food was...average. A bit too oily and quite pricey. At night, we went to SKS City Mall again coz my kids wanted shopping!
Third day was free and easy. We went to Desaru Fruit Farm. @desarufruitfarm8140 Wow, they even have a YouTube Channel! We learnt a lot about fruits, herbs and other vegetables. The place is huge! There is a lot of things we can buy at their shop too. Most importantly, the lunch package that we bought with the Fruit Farm Tour was extremely value for money. The food is really good and unique with many sauces made from their own fruits and free flow of fruits too. After that we went to the public beach. Very fun and relaxing. Kids played with sand and water. In the evening, we went all the way to Kota Tinggi Firefly Park but the weather was not good. They refunded our tickets bought from Klook, not the easiest process. We had dinner at the restaurant next to it called Hua Wei Seafood Restaurant. It was delicious and affordable.
Last day before traveling back, we had chicken rice at 899 Good Restaurant outside our apartment. It was good and the seller was very friendly. All in all, it's a really fun, relaxing and memorable trip. At least, the relaxing part is for our kids.
