Albanian Parliament: Smoke Bombs released after Indian Parliament Security breach | Watch | OneIndia
  • 4 months ago
Just a few days after the Indian Parliament security breach incident, Democratic party MPs protested vehemently, igniting smoke bombs and piling up chairs in the Albanian Parliament. The protests came as the Parliament voted to st-rip Sali Berisha of immunity by a narrow margin of 75 to 65.Sali Berisha, 79, who dominated Albanian politics in the early 1990s as head of state and again as conservative prime minister between 2005 and 2013, now faces probable arrest and, if found guilty, a sentence of between four and 12 years in jail. Despite vehemently denying all charges, Berisha has labelled the investigation a "purely political" ploy by his rival, current socialist Prime Minister Edi Rama.
