Storm Pia has ripped across the UK with high winds and extreme weather, causing damage to property and roadways. Footage from this morning shows downed trees blocking roads and traffic.

Markeaton Road, in Derby, and a residential street in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester can be seen completely blocked off by the trees.
