Nurses switch to short-term contracts for pay benefits

Nurses and midwives across Australia are leaving their permanent jobs and switching to short-term contracts in pursuit of better pay and flexibility. It means some are earning two to three times as much as the permanent employees they work alongside - and experts are warning the model is unsustainable.
