As the nation sees another surge in Covid cases, a new sub-variant of the virus, identified as JN.1, is making headlines with 21 reported cases across different states. The sub-variant, a descendant of the Omicron lineage, has swiftly spread, with cases confirmed in the states of Goa, Kerala, and Maharashtra. Goa leads the count with 19 reported cases, while Kerala and Maharashtra have each reported one case of the JN.1 sub-variant.
