Peter Pan panto opens at Neverland Theatre, Skegness

The stage is set for the family panto Peter Pan in Skegness and there couldn't be a better venue for it - the Neverland Theatre.

00:14 Ginger who came and did their first show last year, and we have Leon and of course

00:20 Adve, and this is my first year. I'm Mae Reed and I play Jinkerbell.

00:23 Now, you just had your first day. How was it?

00:28 Amazing!

00:31 So you're going to have to do it again then?

00:34 [Laughter]

00:39 It was fabulous. Can I just say that it was a pleasure performing for such an actively involved

00:44 and enthusiastic audience. It really gave us so much energy to feed off.

00:48 Of course, you were Mr Hook, Captain Hook, weren't you?

00:54 How much did you enjoy playing a baddie?

00:57 Oh, look, everybody loves a bad boy.

01:04 No, we worked really well together. It was an absolute pleasure. We had the best, best co-actors.

01:10 So everyone kind of brought the character to life together.

01:13 And yeah, absolute pleasure with the audience here as well.

01:16 And do you think you've got some good pirates in Skegness?

01:21 What do you guys think? Do we?

01:23 I think so. After the training, I think so.

01:27 I'm liking what I see so far. I think we do. I think we definitely do.

01:32 Now I have to speak to Wendy because you have returned to Skegness, haven't you, for this role.

01:38 What's it like to be on stage in your hometown?

01:41 Oh, it's fabulous. I mean, oh gosh, I wouldn't have even thought or dreamt I'd be here.

01:46 So I feel really, really lucky to be part of such a wonderful and so lovely cast.

01:52 And it feels really nice to play such an innocent character who loves their family so much.

01:59 Well, and obviously your family love you too. I saw the big bunch of flowers from your dad.

02:06 And we heard about the free chips offering.

02:08 And the free chips, that's important, yes. Free chips for all the cast. So that's going to be good.

02:15 So just leave me to wish you all good luck with your role.

02:41 I did, yeah. I was called to say, there's a ghost.

02:47 Because he didn't say anything to me the first time.
