National news agencies Bernama and Xinhua have kicked off Malaysia and China's 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with an upgrade in media cooperation.

00:16 "Notably, the renewal of this agreement aligns perfectly with the upcoming 50th anniversary
00:25 of the diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.
00:30 Carrying the commencement of the celebrations in just a month from now.
00:35 So I like to think that Xinhua and Bernama is the first to kick off the celebrations
00:41 of the 50th anniversary."
00:43 In his welcoming address, Xinhua's Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau Director Wang Jin-fu said
00:49 he was glad to come to Malaysia this year, the 10th anniversary of the establishment
00:53 of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia.
00:57 "Xinhua and Malaysia's media cooperation has maintained good relations and cooperation
01:06 for a long time.
01:07 It has played an important role in improving mutual understanding and friendship between
01:08 the two countries.
01:09 Xinhua is willing to work with Malaysia's media to ensure the success of cooperation
01:10 between China and Malaysia in all areas and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the
01:11 establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
