02:10 Well, two studies conducted in Britain and the US suggested that AI might enable millions

02:17 of people to move to a four-day workweek by 2033.

02:22 In concrete numbers, AI could reduce the workweek from 40 to 32 hours for 28% of the workforce.

02:29 That's 8.8 million people in Britain and 35 million in the US.

02:35 But if companies will give their workers full pay for working less, that's another story.

02:41 One idea to ensure workers are not losing out on money due to AI is Universal Basic

02:46 Income or UBI.

02:49 This means that everyone would regularly get an unconditional minimal income.

02:55 But where would the money be coming from?

02:57 Well, some experts suggest taxing companies on the profits they make by using AI.

03:04 Others go even further and say everyone should have a right to UBI because we collectively

03:09 created all the data that's being used to train AIs.

03:14 However, Universal Basic Income is still subject to much debate and won't be coming anytime

03:21 soon.

03:22 But it's an interesting concept if you ask me.
