One hundred pound fines are being issued to people parked on the curb in Scotland: We ask people in Manchester for their thoughts
  • 4 months ago
One hundred pound pavement parking fines are being enforced from Monday December 11 in Scotland. Anyone parking with their wheels on the pavement in the country could be fined up to £100 as new Transport Scotland Act rules came into force this week. Pavement parking, double parking, and parking at dropped curbs have been designated as offences punishable by local councils. The Scottish government has said these new rules will benefit pavement users with pushchairs and prams and wheelchair users, as well as those with mobility issues or visual impairments. We asked people in Manchester for their thoughts on the new parking fines.
