China's visa-free policy fuels international air travel

Domestic and foreign airline companies have increased their flight capacity for key international routes to meet the surging needs of travellers following the implementation of the visa-free policy by China early this month. 00:13 The Civil Aviation Administration of China statistics

00:16 showed that 13,004 international flights

00:19 by 116 airline companies had been approved

00:23 and they will serve travels between 65 countries

00:26 during the winter and spring period.

00:29 This means the flight capacity has regained 70% of that

00:33 in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

00:38 showed that more Chinese and foreigners

00:40 are traveling abroad fueled by the visa-free policy.

01:26 serving the biggest gateways,

01:34 we will definitely increase the flights further

01:37 and planning to bring that number from the upper 40s

01:41 to actually to the 60s,

01:43 so more than 60 flights every week.

01:45 - Under China's visa-free entry policy

01:48 effective from December 1st,

01:50 passport holders from Malaysia, France, Germany,

01:53 Italy, Spain and the Netherlands

01:55 will be able to enjoy visa-free travel to China

01:58 for up to 15 days.
