"He Was Starin' At Me"- August 3, 2021

On the night of August 3rd, 2021, sheriff's deputies in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana were engaged in predatory policing practices. Deputy Matt Dannehl went after someone in an older-model Honda Civic solely because the driver was "staring at" Matt. The driver pulled off into a local gas station, so Dannehl called for the other deputies.

Every deputy on shift converged on Grayson, and parked at various spots (out of sight, of course) to watch the car and wait for it to get back out on the road. After it got back out on the road and got out of sight, deputies chased after it, and pulled it over for "speeding" because the deputies were speeding to catch up to it.

The car didn't have a license plate so they would have otherwise had grounds to stop it, but that was nullified by the deputies' behavior in going after the car for a bogus reason.

These deputies clearly must've been trained by the soon-to-be-infamous Street Cop Training program, which encourages cops to violate the US Constitution by stopping people for bogus reasons including "staring at" officers...
