Shocking Moment- WWE Angry Fan Jumps Barricade to ATTACK Wrestling Star Grayson Waller in Newark

Security was called into action at Sunday's WWE event in Newark after an angry fan jumped over the ringside barricade to attack wrestling superstar Grayson Waller.

Waller triumphed over Odyssey Jones and Cameron Grimes this weekend alongside Austin Theory as part of 'A-Town Down Under', but the victory was marred by an incensed fan jumping the barricade to try and confront him.

The Australian wrestler mocked some fans with a promo cut ahead of the match and ran down past the crowd before fighting in the ring.

Failing to calm down his temper during the fight, the WWE fan launched himself over the barricade in an attempt to get to Waller but was immediately wrestled to the floor by security.

As the fan was ejected and dumped back over the fence, Waller and his team-mate strutted around the ring confidently, unfazed by the incident. To be clear, this was not a part of the show.

This is far from the first time this has happened in WWE, but it is a rare occurrence.

Seth Rollins got into a scrap with a fan at the Barclays Center in New York back in November 2021 as he made his exit following a match on RAW.

Rollins brawled with the fan for a few moments before security arrived and tackled the angry barricade jumper. This led to WWE increasing their ringside security, which helped out Waller on this occasion.

Triple H also famously once beat up a fan who was attacking Stone Cold Steve Austin during a live event in the late 1990s - even the referee got in on the action.

Waller took to social media after the match, mocking the fan's decision to take him on.

'This is what happens when idiot Americans try to get in a battle of wit with an Aussie,' the wrestler posted to social media on Monday.

The 33-year-old Aussie, whose real name is Matthew Farrelly, first joined the WWE in 2021 and was drafted by SmackDown during the 2023 draft.

Waller made headlines in October for his controversial comments on famous singer Taylor Swift and her fans known as ‘Swifties.’

He angered fans after mocking the popstar's relationship with Travis Kelce on The Bump, a WWE YouTube show.

'Good for Trav [Kelce],' Waller said.

'I'm not the sort of guy that would settle for a six, but each to their own. For me personally, I like a bit of spice, I like a nine or a 10.

'I know (WWE tag team partner) Austin (Theory) does too, we're on the same level. But good for him for settling and trying his best.'
