00:00 She loved coming to Graceland.
00:02 She loved the fans.
00:03 - Riley Keough is remembering her mom, Lisa Marie Presley.
00:07 The 34-year-old actress recently chatted
00:10 with Elvis Presley Enterprises owner, Joel Weinschenker,
00:13 on a series XM show, Inside Graceland.
00:16 And she reflected on the differences
00:18 between her grandmother, Priscilla Presley,
00:20 and her late mother, who liked to stay out of the spotlight,
00:23 except when it came to Graceland.
00:26 - Yeah, I think that it's, you know, everybody's different.
00:29 She wasn't somebody who liked attention,
00:33 didn't like, you know, being in the public eye,
00:36 which is this very, you know,
00:39 crazy situation that she was born in.
00:42 For somebody who doesn't like attention,
00:45 like it was really difficult for her,
00:47 but she loved coming to Graceland.
00:50 She loved the fans and she loved being with,
00:54 you know, especially like the sort of original generation
00:58 of Elvis fans.
00:59 I think she found a lot of great comfort
01:01 in being around that and coming here
01:03 and being a part of things at Graceland.
01:06 And yeah, my grandmother, obviously, for so many years
01:10 was, you know, dedicated her whole life to Elvis's legacy.
01:15 - Riley then reflected on her legacy at Graceland
01:18 and what it means to her now that her mom is gone.
01:20 - So I think for me, it's,
01:23 I don't really know where I exist on that spectrum.
01:25 I love, you know, being involved 'cause it's my family
01:30 and I care about them.
01:32 So I, you know, I will see how that works,
01:37 you know, in the future.
01:39 But for now, this has been, it's been a nice experience.
01:42 - The Daisy Jones in the Six star
01:44 then shared some of her favorite memories being at Graceland
01:47 with her famous family in honor of the holidays.
01:51 - I think growing up and having family,
01:56 like dinners and stuff in the house,
01:57 having Southern food in the dining room,
02:02 you know, we typically when we would come,
02:05 it was not, obviously the tours were not happening.
02:09 It would have been later.
02:09 And so we had a lot of dinners
02:12 and the house felt very full of family
02:16 and cousins running around
02:18 and did not feel like a museum, you know?
02:21 So I think those were mostly my memories as a child.
02:25 It did feel, have that like family home feeling for us.
02:29 - Lisa Marie died in January, 2022 at just 54 years old.
02:33 The singer's cause of death was later confirmed
02:35 to be complications from a small bowel obstruction.
02:38 Access Hollywood chatted with Lisa Marie
02:40 just days before her death at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.
02:43 And she praised Austin Butler for his portrayal of her dad
02:46 in the hit movie, Elvis.
02:49 We just had Austin Butler up here.
02:51 - Hey, dude.
02:52 - What did this movie mean to you and your family?
02:54 - Everything.
02:55 It just, it's so incredible.
02:59 There's no words to describe it.
03:02 It's just so, it's so important, that movie,
03:05 on so many levels.
03:07 And I'm so proud of him and Baz
03:09 and I'm just here to support them.
03:13 - Austin was funny talking about,
03:15 he worked really hard to get Elvis' laugh down.
03:19 And it was like a hiccup of the eye.
03:21 Did he nail it?
03:22 - Absolutely.
03:23 Absolutely, everything.
03:24 Even the voice, the throat,
03:27 like, what is it?
03:30 He would make these noises sometimes
03:32 and he got all of it.
03:33 It was, you know, I don't know how to describe him,
03:36 but all of his mannerisms, he absolutely nailed it.
