The Run Eat Sleep Charity Christmas Fun run returned to South Shields Key to Life Foodbank.

00:00 The Run Eat Sleep charity held its annual Christmas fun run at the weekend at Ben's Park,

00:05 which sees participants dress up in their festive way and take part in a 1k or 5k route around the park.

00:14 Despite the snowy conditions at the weekend, a lot of people still turned out for the event,

00:20 which was an aid of Keter Life Food Bank based in South Tyneside.

00:26 Instead of paying an entry fee for the run, participants are asked to bring along an item that can be donated to the food bank,

00:33 which can then be made into food parcels and distributed to people in the community who are most in need.

00:39 This year was the 8th event and organisers were thrilled about how many people took part and the donations that they brought with them.
