England show 'fight and character' with Netherlands comeback, but leave Olympic qualification in doubt

Despite coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2, England's 2024 Olympic qualification is now out of their control

00:00 I mean we came down from 2-0 and obviously got it back to 3-2 in the second half.

00:04 I think the fight and the character that we've shown as a group, that's what we want to show every time we put on this England shirt.

00:09 We just didn't give up, kept pushing and some great finishes, great teamwork and a great effort from the team today.

00:16 High pressure game, 2-0 down to come on with a little bit of expectation to do something.

00:21 It doesn't go amiss, but I'm so happy to be out there and play with the team again.

00:28 Going into half time, everyone came in and we were still confident.

00:31 We knew everything was up for grabs, anything could happen.

00:34 And yeah, his vital, especially going into the next game, that we get that win,

00:37 because obviously the Olympics are still up for grabs and that's what we want to get.

00:40 If we don't win, then nothing in the other game matters anyway.

00:44 So we've got to take care of what we can and hopefully it'll be a good atmosphere.

00:48 It should be a good game against our local rivals almost.

00:52 So it was a fun game when they came to us and yeah, we're looking forward to it

01:21 You know, there's a lot of things riding on the game,

01:23 but equally for the other two teams in the group as well.

01:25 But I guess that's what's making this tournament so exciting.
