Von Miller Turns Himself In , on Domestic Violence Charge.
The Buffalo Bills linebacker
turned himself in on Nov. 30.
He was released shortly
after on a $5,000 bond.
Miller has been charged with "third-degree felony
assault of a pregnant woman," ESPN reports. .
If convicted, he faces up to
10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
ESPN reports that Dallas Police responded to
a disturbance call at 11 a.m. on Nov. 29.
Miller and the pregnant woman got
into an argument, at which point the
football player allegedly assaulted her.
Police observed "minor abrasions" on the woman's hand,
as well as "injuries consistent with applied pressure on the neck" and bruising to her abdomen and arm, ESPN reports. .
Miller and the woman have been
together for seven years.
They have other children together as well.
The Bills issued a statement on Nov. 30.
This morning, we were made aware of an
incident involving Von Miller. We are in the
process of gathering more information and
will have no further comment at this point, Buffalo Bills, via statement
