00:17 The Department of Transportation or DOTR stressed the deadline for the consolidation of jeepney

00:25 This is part of the PUV modernization program where operators should have cooperatives.
00:31 The agency clarified the deadline does not mean immediate replacements with modernized
00:35 jeepneys but this must be done within two years after the consolidation.
00:40 "It is very important to understand that this consolidation deadline on December 31
00:48 is different from the modernization of the units.
00:54 So for example, on December 31, there are still 70,000 individual franchise holders
01:06 who are not consolidating.
01:09 Let's say that they can consolidate on December 31, they can continue their operation as long
01:21 as their jeepneys are still being saved by the LTO."
01:29 The Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange recommended to the Toll Regulatory Board
01:33 and the Transportation Department to give priority lanes for public buses in express
01:38 ways.
01:39 PITX also eyes to install cameras outside of their terminals to monitor coloreum vehicles.
01:45 They also reminded the public to plan their trips well and book their tickets early.
01:50 "December 22 is a Friday so we expect a lot of people to go out of Metro Manila from
01:55 that time but we expect a lot of people from the provinces to go to Metro Manila from as
02:01 early as December 16.
02:03 Because we know that this is the time that Tagalog people want to go to Metro Manila
02:07 to 1.
02:08 To go to the market 2.
02:09 To buy business tickets."
02:12 The four-day National Coast Water Interagency Indo-Pacific Regional Information Sharing
02:18 or AORUS standard operating procedure course and the command post exercise Pagahanda 2023

02:26 This is a joint project of the National Coast Watch Center and the European Union that aims
02:32 to share information through digital platforms to address maritime security challenges.
02:37 Nineteen maritime law enforcement agencies attended the event.
02:41 "This training is about how to use that platform for information sharing.
02:46 It's not just limited to the Philippines but also to our regional partners."
02:50 "So this platform supports all the agencies be them military, civilian or hybrids that
