ZEROBASEONE caught up with Billboard's Tetris Kelly at the 2023 MAMA Awards in Tokyo, Japan.

00:05 How did that feel?

00:07 - So nice to see you again.

00:08 - Good to see you.

00:09 - We didn't expect, like, we were so grateful

00:12 to receive both awards, so we feel amazing,

00:16 and we really, everything, we owe everything to Zeros,

00:19 and hopefully today we can get a third award, hopefully.

00:24 Yes.

00:26 - Well, hopefully you do,

00:27 and you were talking about your fans.

00:28 I mean, I remember at KCON,

00:30 they were some of the most passionate fans

00:31 I've seen in K-pop.

00:33 So what is that connection like, having it with your fans?

00:36 - I think our connection is very deep,

00:38 because starting from Boys Planet,

00:40 they've seen us through our ups and downs,

00:43 and we're here because of Zeros and StarCaders,

00:47 and so I'd say from the very beginning until now,

00:51 they've been with us, so we have a very

00:53 lovely, deep connection, yeah.

00:57 - And then this show specifically is also very special.

01:00 So how's it feel to perform at it

01:01 and be nominated at the MAMA Awards?

01:03 - Yeah, 'cause since middle school,

01:05 watching all these so many legendary MAMA stages,

01:08 - Oh, that's awesome.

01:09 - We've always been, like, dreaming of us

01:11 being on the stage, and we just can't imagine

01:14 that it came so fast, and we'll try our best

01:18 to get a step closer to our dreams in here, in the stage.

01:23 - Man, that's amazing.

01:24 You guys are killing it, so don't even think about that.

01:27 - And then 2023 was a very big year for music,

01:29 so tell me, what was one of your favorite moments

01:31 in music this year?
