00:00 Yes, so we've been working with Amazon for about five years now.
00:07 They donate a lot of their products to Barnardo's that we can then resell in our shops.
00:12 So this project is actually all about Amazon's reused and refurbished products.
00:19 And what they've done is they've donated those to Barnardo's and then opened this shop so
00:24 we can sell it.
00:25 So all of the proceeds from the two weeks of this shop being open.
00:29 The proceeds are going to go to Barnardo's.
00:32 In the last year Barnardo's supported 357,000 children across the UK.
00:38 We have around 790 services and that ranges from anything from adoption through to helping
00:46 children that are in care, supporting children leaving care.
00:50 So one in four children in the UK are classed as in poverty and we're working with the funds
00:58 that we have and the funds that we're generating from this to help those children with things
01:03 that they need.
01:04 So food, essential items, things like that.
01:07 Yes, so not everything is reused.
01:10 Some of it has been returned perhaps because the box is broken or somebody bought it and
01:17 then they got gifted it again.
01:20 And then obviously Amazon have a really stringent process on their refurbished items.
01:26 So anything that's been refurbished for resale has been through that process.
01:30 So essentially everything's almost brand new.
01:33 Yes, so the Ninja air fryers are amazing.
01:36 I actually bought one myself.
01:39 But there's just such a vast amount of products and just some really great things, especially
01:46 for Christmas presents and stuff like that.
01:48 And because most of them are around 50% of the recommended retail price, you can grab
01:53 some real bargains.
01:54 Okay, well we're part of the repair route for Amazon.
01:59 So we receive returned items from users that either don't like the product that they bought
02:06 or they're not happy with it or it's faulty.
02:09 So we'll receive that item back to us and we will refurbish it.
02:13 There's obviously a very good environmental requirement for this.
02:18 The items can be reused and repaired and resold again.
02:25 This is obviously very good for the environment in terms of the materials that are used for
02:29 production.
02:30 It's a really good cause to do.
02:34 So I feel like at the moment it's going towards a good cause.
02:40 It's fantastic.
02:41 We've come down here from, we're based in Manchester, we've come down here from Manchester
02:46 with our team, very willingly to set up this and demonstrate what a good cause Barnardo's
02:52 is.
02:53 It's amazing.
02:54 So yeah, we think this is going to do a really great job for generating the much needed funds
02:59 that we need for Barnardo's to continue the work that we do throughout the year.
