Aussie hero helps rescue 41 trapped tunnel workers

Australian lawyer and engineering professor Arnold Dix who helped mastermind the rescue of 41 Indian workers from a collapsed tunnel in the Himalayas has hailed the "phenomenal" rescue effort.

00:10 and was confronted with something I've never seen before,

00:13 which was a mountain that internally had an avalanche

00:17 with millions of tons of rock

00:20 and a huge cavity inside the mountain.

00:22 The miracle was 41 people on the other side alive.

00:26 I don't think, hopefully I won't have to do this again.

00:28 Once in a lifetime, and I've never seen anything like this

00:31 in my life.

00:32 At a time when the whole world is completely,

00:35 I don't wanna swear, but like bloody stupid,

00:38 like totally insane, mucked up,

00:41 here is a disaster where everyone's actually being nice

00:45 and we're all working together.

00:48 And we put away all our political differences

00:51 and it doesn't matter what God you're from,

00:53 or into, it doesn't matter what country you're from.
