00:00 As the humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Hamas reaches its fifth day,
00:04 this truce is met with a set of decisions by many, which continue to see how the humanitarian
00:09 situation in Gaza keeps deteriorating. A correspondent in the Gaza Strip,
00:14 Noor Harassi, brings us the date on the situation.
00:17 On the fifth day of the humanitarian truce here in Gaza, Hamas released 10 Israeli hostages,
00:26 adding to them six hostages that are Thai workers from Thailand, and the Israeli forces
00:35 from their side released 30 Palestinian prisoners. However, and we have mentioned this before,
00:43 Israel actually arrests every day during the past seven weeks more than they are releasing now. We
00:50 are talking about more than 3,000 people that were arrested. However, now the most important
00:56 question, will this truce be extended? We're hearing about an international pressure,
01:03 an international community pressure, pressure from the Qatari government, from the Egyptian
01:09 government, from Spain, from other countries to extend this truce between Hamas and Israel.
01:17 Israel said that they are open and they are willing to extend this truce in case Hamas
01:24 managed to locate more hostages and release them daily. They said that Israel is proposing one day
01:32 of a truce for 10 Israeli hostages every day, while the Palestinians are expecting a day of truce,
01:39 the release of Palestinian prisoners, and also more humanitarian aid to be allowed into the
01:45 Gaza Strip. Over the past days, yes, Egypt allowed humanitarian aid to Gaza. However,
01:51 we're just hearing the news that Israel has ordered some of the fuel trucks to go back,
01:56 and this is something that is warning because previously Al Qassam Brigades,
02:01 which is the militant wing of Hamas, delayed the release of the Israeli hostages because of the
02:06 delays from the Israeli side in allowing humanitarian aid to Gaza. For now, we are
02:12 waiting what will happen in the upcoming days. Nurharazin Tulesu, Gaza.
