Michigan 12-Year-Old Leads Police in Hour-Long Chase on Stolen Forklift at Daring Speeds of 15-20 MPH

A 12-year-old boy stole an unlocked construction vehicle from outside a middle school in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Saturday. The boy was taken into custody and lodged at a juvenile detention center. He appeared in front of a juvenile referee and may face charges for stealing the vehicle and fleeing from police. The boy led police on an hour-long chase through Ann Arbor and into neighboring towns at speeds of 15-20 mph. During the chase, the boy struck approximately ten parked vehicles as he drove on roads and sidewalks without headlights. No one was injured. Police continue to investigate the incident, which they described as "very dangerous."
