Tesla Launches Revolutionary Ride-Share Service, DASH, in Tampa
  • 5 months ago
Tesla recently launched a ride-share service called DASH in Tampa, Florida, which began operating on October 12th. Instead of taking riders directly to their destination like Uber or Lyft, it shuttles people between more than 20 hubs in downtown Tampa's seven neighborhoods. Each DASH vehicle is a bright yellow Tesla Model Y that can hold up to 4 passengers. Rides between hubs cost $2 per person. DASH drivers receive extensive safety and driving training from Tesla, as well as training on Tampa's downtown neighborhoods. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor also praised DASH's sustainability and the city's broader shift toward electric vehicles in its fleet.
