00:44 VECCONAC was established in 1980 to strengthen cooperation and solidarity among veteran organizations in ASEAN countries
00:53 to promote the socio-economic prosperity of the people.
00:57 This is the third time that the Philippines hosted the VECCONAC General Assembly.
01:03 It was first held in the country in 1985 and 1997.
01:10 The highlight this year for us is to actually collaborate because in fact the proposal of Singapore is on the business side.
01:22 So, to collaborate so that VECCONAC as a platform for veteran businessmen to collaborate with each other, help each other.
01:33 This is ensuring that the aim of the VECCONAC or the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Nations is propagated.
01:44 So, actually VECCONAC's aim is to promote and defend peace and security in the region.
01:51 And at the same time, work will benefit the veterans of member countries.
