00:20 in past episodes, but now they're

00:22 hoping that they're going to bond

00:23 while letting out their inner artists

00:25 during a painting session.

00:29 Seeing her smiling and having fun around me

00:33 makes me think that she's feeling more attracted to me.

00:37 That was completely against the rules.

00:38 The rules of marriage.

00:40 So I hope maybe the splattering of the paint

00:43 has allowed her and me to come to a place

00:47 where we can find a romantic connection between us.

00:51 But back to the old miscommunication trope,

00:53 things still aren't 100% for these two.

00:55 The attraction that you all have with your partners

00:58 was immediate, and that's fair to say, correct?

01:01 And that's where we differ.

01:02 It hasn't been that experience for us.

01:05 I'm really attracted to Claire.

01:07 I think she is very attractive.

01:10 While we aren't the most intimate people yet,

01:14 I'm very much looking forward to us getting there.

01:19 They're willing to try to make things work,

01:21 and they opened up about how they're feeling to each other.

01:23 With the girls, I think it was also a very vulnerable position

01:26 for me to be in too, because it seemed like I was comparing

01:29 with them and what they're doing and what we're not doing.

01:31 And from their advice, it was just like,

01:33 they had mentioned that they noticed that you were putting

01:35 your arm around me, and I didn't even acknowledge that.

01:38 And I feel bad in that way, because I feel like, wow,

01:42 I haven't even focused on the amount that he is trying.

01:46 And I'm sorry that I haven't been more aware of that.

01:52 I think it's fair to say we are both trying, right?

01:56 And while out on the open ocean, they both

01:59 talked about how they're willing to ride the wave of love

02:02 OK, that was cheesy, but you know I had to.

02:04 I think I was kind of feeding off of just the energy that

02:07 was between us, which was like--

02:11 If we continue to let that happen,

02:14 it would be a very disastrous situation.

02:18 But I feel like we've made a really big change.

02:24 And the tide was going out, and now the tide's coming in.

02:29 Emily is an all-in type of girl.

02:33 to being married to Brennan.

02:35 And now she's trying to take things a little bit slower

02:37 with him in order to make things work.

02:40 I know you wanted to have sex on your honeymoon,

02:42 and you're like, it's going to be weird

02:43 if we don't have sex on your honeymoon.

02:45 Has that changed?

02:46 I would say for me, I'm trying to take it differently,

02:48 because it's my first relationship.

02:50 So I've really enjoyed not jumping in it

02:53 and asking on that same page and just really building

02:56 a more stable, emotional connection.

03:02 I feel like that's a good thing and change for me.

03:05 And later, Emily had a hair-raising situation,

03:08 literally, when her tresses got distressed in the ocean,

03:12 and she ended up having to get them chopped off.

03:14 Honestly, she's handling this a lot better than I would.

03:17 I'm a guy, so when my hair gets messed up, I just brush it.

03:21 Stand up.

03:22 OK.

03:23 He's just so confused by all of it.

03:25 Wow.

03:36 I literally felt like I'm bonded.

03:45 And she and Brendan bonded over how they

03:47 handled the hairy situation.

03:49 It's like, honestly, it did mean a lot.

03:50 And I know you probably don't get that,

03:52 because it's just hair.

03:53 But in this setting specifically,

03:56 it was very stressful.

03:57 But it felt like fine.

03:59 I can go to bed with two birds nestling in my hair.

04:01 It'll be fine.

04:02 Didn't bother me at all.

04:04 I thought you looked great regardless.

04:06 I just appreciate you.

04:08 I obviously don't know what it's like.

04:11 But I could tell it was upsetting you.

04:15 And you still had a smile on your face

04:17 and still made me smile the whole day.

04:19 And it didn't affect the outcome of the day.

04:22 Yeah.

04:22 I love that I make you smile.

04:24 I do.

04:24 And I write to you.

04:26 And in my darkest of times.

04:28 Which means a lot.

04:29 Yeah.

04:30 It's like a little thing that still, I think, shows,

04:33 like, I know you're going to be there for me, vice versa.

04:36 Becca and Austin continue to be the cutest.

04:38 They met up, and Austin admitted that when he was hanging out

04:41 with the other guys, he kind of downplayed their relationship

04:44 and how great everything is with them,

04:46 because he didn't want to make them feel bad.

04:48 I can imagine that it's hard for other couples

04:53 when they aren't instantly connected like we are.

04:57 And I don't want to discourage them

04:59 from thinking that their relationships are

05:01 right and good just because they don't have what we have.

05:05 But by extinguishing your own candle,

05:07 you don't light someone else's.

05:09 Wait.

05:10 Do you think I'm going to extinguish your own candle?

05:12 No.

05:12 I'm saying, like, by downplaying what you have,

05:15 you don't give something to somebody else.

05:17 It seems like he took what she said to heart,

05:19 because later on, he was gushing

05:20 about how much he likes her.

05:22 You made me feel incredibly safe,

05:23 which isn't something that I wanted going into this.

05:27 But once we--

05:28 Glad that you have it.

05:29 Yeah, now that I have it, it's so, so relieving.

05:33 What a weight off my shoulders to know that she has my back.

05:38 It's incredible.

05:42 Lauren and Orion had a tense conversation last episode,

05:45 and they're still navigating how to handle something like this.

05:48 There are a lot of things I don't move on.

05:53 And as you discovered yesterday, one of them

05:56 is who I am, where I come from.

06:00 And I hold a lot of pride in it, and I know you do too.

06:04 I did take a walk.

06:06 I wasn't upset.

06:08 I just-- my ducks were not in a row.

06:10 Yeah.

06:12 So with that, I wasn't able to formulate words

06:16 where I felt like I would be respectful to you.

06:21 And so with that, there's no need for me to say anything.

06:24 They ended up having a heart to heart

06:26 and really talking things out.

06:28 And they both agreed that they want

06:29 to work through this together and learn from the situation.

06:33 I think it's good for us to learn how to navigate this,

06:38 so that if something-- when something else comes up,

06:42 no matter what it is, we'll be--

06:45 just know how to do it better.

06:50 Lauren says she wants to make sure going forward

06:52 in their relationship that when they have disagreements

06:55 or any kind of tough situations arise,

06:57 that they really have each other to lean on

06:58 and be there for each other.

07:04 throughout the night, in the morning,

07:06 we get those cuddles in, those kisses in,

07:08 whatever it looks like for what mood we're in.

07:11 And we just get to go about our day feeling like, all right,

07:15 I'm cared by this person.

07:16 And this person feels cared by me.

07:20 You know, I love that.

07:22 I absolutely love that.

07:24 Because I've not had anybody like that.

07:27 I have never had consistent reciprocation.

07:31 Later on, they had a conversation

07:32 about the last time they had been intimate with anyone.

07:35 And Orion seemed shocked at what Lauren had to say.

07:38 When was the last time you had sex?

07:40 A little more than a year and a half.

07:41 Oh, wow.

07:42 That I was intimate with somebody.

07:44 OK.

07:45 It's definitely something more than just
