00:00 Kate Middleton knows how to give the perfect curtsy in any circumstance.
00:06 On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales and her husband, Prince William, welcomed the President
00:09 of South Korea, Yun Suk-yol, and his wife, First Lady Kim Yong-yi, to London for their
00:15 first state visit to the United Kingdom.
00:18 After meeting the couple at a hotel and posing for photos, they traveled to the Horse Guards
00:22 Parade in London, where they met with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
00:27 That is where Kate expertly curtsied to the King and Queen with a big smile on her face
00:31 as she navigated her way up the stairs.
00:35 And the 41-year-old's curtsy isn't the only thing making headlines.
00:39 The mom of three looked regal in a bright red wool cape by Catherine Walker & Co.
00:43 Although it looks like the coat has a bow on it, it's actually a detail from the red
00:47 dress she's wearing underneath.
00:49 Kate previously wore that dress to the Christmas Carol concert two years ago.
00:54 She accessorized the look with a matching hat and sapphire and diamond drop-down earrings
00:58 that previously belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
01:02 Meanwhile, Prince William looked dapper in a blue coat with a red tie.
01:06 The royal couple then embarked on a carriage procession along the Mall to Buckingham Palace
01:11 alongside the President and First Lady of South Korea and the King and Queen.
01:15 Their day will wrap up with a state banquet hosted in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace.
01:21 This is the second state visit that King Charles has hosted since he became monarch in September
01:25 2022.
01:27 Prince William and Kate Middleton have played a key role in welcoming guests since the Queen's
01:32 death.
01:33 One day after her passing, King Charles made William and Kate Prince and Princess of Wales,
01:37 which recognized them as senior members of the royal family.
01:41 Access Hollywood previously spoke with DailyMail.com's Charlene Langston, who talked about how the
01:46 duo are getting ready to lead the monarchy.
01:49 William and Kate are already not acting as though they are already the leaders of the
01:56 monarchy, but they are taking on a huge amount of responsibility, not just in terms of public
02:03 engagements but also in terms of the way in which the monarchy is run.
02:07 They're making small but very important changes, opening up the monarchy to a more
02:12 modern point of view, not perhaps in a way that is noticeable every single day, but bit
02:20 by bit they have kind of helped the monarchy to evolve, to kind of embrace new traditions,
02:26 and to kind of maintain the important heritage of the past while also kind of saying, "Okay,
02:32 a few of the things that we used to do are seen as being very stuffy.
02:36 They are very stuffy.
02:38 There are ways where we can kind of maintain the tradition behind these things without
02:42 making it appear as though we are completely ignorant to what the rest of the world is
02:46 doing and how they're living."
