00:00 A man was rewarded after solving a hundred-year-old mystery involving the brand Triscuits.
00:06 A Twitter thread from 2020 is going viral again on TikTok, and it's one of the kookiest
00:11 cracker capers ever.
00:13 It all started when Twitter user Sage Boggs went to a party and asked his friends about
00:17 how they think Triscuits got their name.
00:20 The leading theory was that the "tri" in Triscuits means three.
00:24 Three layers, three flavors, three of whatever it may be.
00:27 Boggs was so curious that he actually reached out to Triscuits' parent company, Nabisco,
00:33 but was shocked when they said that the "tri" in Triscuits definitely doesn't mean three,
00:38 and that they themselves had no idea why the wafers were named what they were.
00:43 After some internet sleuthing, Boggs found some old Triscuit ads and was able to crack
00:47 the case.
00:48 "Triscuits were the first biscuits to be baked using electricity," explaining the
00:54 tree.
00:55 And in a wholesome ending to the mystery, Triscuits thanked Boggs by sending him this
01:00 letter and a hearty supply of the electricity-baked and named cracker.
