00:07 President Marcos gave amnesty to the rebels and insurgent groups to ensure peace.

00:14 Executive Order 47 was amended by Executive Order 125 in 2021 that was formed by the National Amnesty Commission.

00:22 That was to cover the process of amnesty application.

00:26 The amnesty was given to the members of the Revolutionary Party of the Philippine Workers,

00:31 Revolutionary Proletarian Army, and Alex Boncayau Brigade,

00:35 as well as members of MILF and MNLF, and former members of CPP-NPA-NDF.

00:41 But that should be for crimes they committed because of their political beliefs.

00:45 Crimes such as kidnapping for ransom, massacre, rape and terrorism,

00:49 personal motive crimes, and gross violation of human rights should not be included.
