00:00:00 - Hey, happy Thanksgiving Eve, John.
00:00:03 - And same to you and all of your Charmin
00:00:08 or whatever it is you've got behind you.
00:00:12 - So OGs know that I am at my parents' house right now
00:00:16 and for whatever reason, they're prepared for a situation
00:00:21 where paper towels will no longer exist
00:00:24 and they wanna make sure that they have enough
00:00:26 for the rest of their lives.
00:00:27 So that's still going strong back here.
00:00:30 - Yeah.
00:00:31 - Napkins too, just in case like there's a,
00:00:33 it's the same family.
00:00:35 We, we hate trees apparently.
00:00:39 - That's all right.
00:00:39 We're gonna be joined by Bobby Manning
00:00:42 and Josue Pavone from the garden.
00:00:44 Celtics take down the Bucs, 119, 116.
00:00:48 It wasn't that close.
00:00:49 It's annoying that it ended up being that close.
00:00:52 - Yeah.
00:00:53 - That's not the right score.
00:00:54 - It is, I think.
00:00:55 I thought it was 119, 113.
00:00:57 - Dude, the dude hit a garbage three at the buzzer.
00:01:00 - Oh, he did, I missed it.
00:01:01 - So there was a bunch of people.
00:01:02 I, I, I, listen, if we have anybody who-
00:01:05 - You're right, I walked away.
00:01:06 I walked away, yeah.
00:01:08 - Yeah, I think this part was right around six.
00:01:10 I don't know what it, what it closed out,
00:01:11 but there were definitely people who I think were covering
00:01:15 before that shot happened.
00:01:15 - Oh my God, I missed that.
00:01:17 I missed that.
00:01:18 - Yeah, that was a tough one.
00:01:19 That was a completely pointless three pointer
00:01:20 and it went down.
00:01:22 So, but yeah, it wasn't this close, but go on.
00:01:25 - Yeah, no, so that happened.
00:01:27 But, you know, the, the, the, the clear hard lead
00:01:33 tonight is Jalen for sure.
00:01:37 After, I mean, a very not, you know,
00:01:42 he's had a few clunkers this year.
00:01:46 - Same.
00:01:47 - No, he's had a few clunkers this year.
00:01:49 And I think just kind of, there was,
00:01:51 the last game was one where everything that Jalen Brown does
00:01:54 that people don't like was magnified, you know,
00:01:58 especially as, you know, a lead was being pissed away
00:02:01 and, you know, bad decision making late
00:02:04 and just the freestyling and lack of court vision
00:02:07 and, you know, stopping the offense
00:02:09 and not getting back in defense and just so many,
00:02:12 so many things that drive you insane.
00:02:14 And seemingly all of them were corrected in one night,
00:02:18 which is incredible.
00:02:20 But the main takeaway for me is that like, he can do it.
00:02:24 - Yeah, there's some proof, visual evidence.
00:02:27 - No, but I mean, that the point is this,
00:02:29 I mean, you can see it from the,
00:02:30 from the first possession, Jimmy,
00:02:32 where first, first time he got it,
00:02:36 I mean, right out of the gate, got it and went, you know,
00:02:39 there wasn't a stop and dribble and 20 dribbles.
00:02:42 He just got it to the basket, dunk and we're off.
00:02:45 - And the Bucks were sleepwalking to start that game.
00:02:48 And they were slow and rotating in that first half.
00:02:50 They obviously came, came round a bit,
00:02:52 but I thought the Bucks were not ready for,
00:02:57 to match the Celtics sort of start
00:02:59 and intensity to start this game.
00:03:01 And yeah, the Jalen play right off the jump
00:03:03 was a great example of that,
00:03:04 but the Celts were whipping the ball around tonight.
00:03:07 It just felt like the Bucks were a step or two behind
00:03:10 most of the night.
00:03:11 And I know that Lopez ended up having
00:03:13 a good stat line on tonight,
00:03:15 but I thought he was slow rotating a couple of times.
00:03:18 You could, you could tell that they aren't
00:03:20 the same defensive team that they have been
00:03:22 in past years, the Bucks.
00:03:24 - They're not.
00:03:26 And they still can't figure out what they want to be.
00:03:31 And they're just not, they're not--
00:03:33 - Middleton's slow still now.
00:03:35 - Yeah, they're not cohesive yet.
00:03:38 So, you know, they can, they can get in their own way
00:03:42 and they're figuring it out.
00:03:44 You've seen like recent comments from, from Giannis,
00:03:47 you know, honest ones, but like, yeah, you know,
00:03:50 I don't know how to play with Dame yet.
00:03:52 We're figuring it out.
00:03:53 Like sometimes he needs the ball.
00:03:54 Sometimes I need the ball.
00:03:55 Like it just is what it is.
00:03:57 And they're kind of trying to figure it out.
00:04:00 But again, just back to the Brown thing.
00:04:03 I think this is what it comes down to
00:04:05 is how freaking efficient he was.
00:04:06 You know, he started the game nine of 11,
00:04:08 missed a couple late, but I didn't, I didn't dislike.
00:04:11 I think I only disliked one shot he took tonight.
00:04:13 I mean, for the most part, everything was in rhythm.
00:04:16 Everything was in flow.
00:04:17 He had the eight assists.
00:04:19 He also had a couple of hockey assists.
00:04:21 He also had a couple of really smart kick out plays
00:04:25 where normally, you know, and what we saw last game,
00:04:28 he'll go into traffic and just try something crazy
00:04:31 and off balance.
00:04:32 And he was really looking to, to kick it.
00:04:34 Even if it wasn't to the open shooter,
00:04:36 he had one great play.
00:04:38 I think in the third that I tweeted about
00:04:40 where he just went in patiently, you know,
00:04:42 looked like he was going to attack.
00:04:43 He sucked in the defense, the help came,
00:04:46 kicked it to Tatum, kicked it to White in the corner
00:04:48 and he hit the three.
00:04:49 - That was your tweet?
00:04:51 - Not, yeah, it was a good play.
00:04:53 - It was a great play, but your tweet started
00:04:54 with Jalen sucked.
00:04:55 And I was like, really, this is the time.
00:04:58 And then I, luckily I kept reading the tweet.
00:04:59 I was like, oh, it was a good thing.
00:05:01 Okay, cool.
00:05:02 - He did, but it was a smart play.
00:05:04 He waited for the defense.
00:05:05 And as soon as it came, he got the ball out quick.
00:05:08 So that's the quick decision-making
00:05:10 that sometimes you question and I question
00:05:13 whether he's got it, whether he sees it, you know,
00:05:17 it's almost like there's certain quarterbacks,
00:05:20 you know, to cross sport reference here
00:05:23 who just can't get through their reads.
00:05:25 You know, they see, they're looking at the one thing,
00:05:27 they've got the tunnel vision,
00:05:29 they can't get to the second read,
00:05:30 they can't get to the third one, they get overwhelmed.
00:05:33 If it's right there for them, they'll make a play,
00:05:35 but otherwise they're going to force something weird
00:05:38 because they're just not ready for what's happening.
00:05:40 So Brown made great reads all night
00:05:42 and seeing that he can do that,
00:05:44 I guess we'll beg the question, like, do that all the time?
00:05:47 Like this had nothing to do with point totals.
00:05:49 He just played a clean game where he was decisive,
00:05:52 made most, and Joe talks about it a ton,
00:05:54 made like a bunch of right reads.
00:05:56 This is as good as it gets.
00:05:57 Like I said, the eight assists plus,
00:05:59 he had a couple of hockey assists and a couple of others
00:06:01 where he found the right guy.
00:06:02 And if they knocked down threes,
00:06:04 he ends up with 12, 13, 14 assists tonight.
00:06:06 I mean, he was that good.
00:06:08 - Agree completely.
00:06:09 And you love to see this because you started to see
00:06:14 more examples of, is he thinking too much out there?
00:06:18 Is he trying to do too much?
00:06:19 Is he trying to prove that he's still this guy
00:06:22 or still in this role?
00:06:24 Is he not going to be able to adapt to the sort of style
00:06:28 of play that they want to have?
00:06:29 Tonight was a different story.
00:06:30 Again, when you compare the clip from last game
00:06:34 when he took the three and he had a wide open for Zingas,
00:06:38 it was almost like, I don't know,
00:06:41 maybe he had his contacts in for this one tonight.
00:06:43 I don't know what it was because it really was
00:06:45 seeing the court differently.
00:06:46 I thought the Celtics as a team,
00:06:49 their ball movement tonight,
00:06:50 you could just tell that that was an emphasis.
00:06:52 They were making the extra pass.
00:06:54 They were whipping it around the court.
00:06:57 Back to the original passer,
00:06:59 Jalen had one at the very end
00:07:00 where he made the right first pass
00:07:02 and it found its way all the way back to him
00:07:04 and he missed the three, but it was a good look.
00:07:06 And every single player on that team made the right play.
00:07:10 Derek White did it a number of times, the extra pass.
00:07:14 Al Horford tonight I thought was great too,
00:07:15 coming off the bench.
00:07:16 - Al was awesome.
00:07:17 - He stepped into that role and the move, man,
00:07:20 he put a move on Portis that I honestly thought
00:07:23 Portis was gonna just hand up, retire on the spot
00:07:26 and head out of the game
00:07:27 'cause Al just undressed him on the post there
00:07:30 and it was just, it was a grown man move on Portis.
00:07:32 - Al was awesome.
00:07:34 - He was.
00:07:34 The bench in general was awesome.
00:07:38 Hauser's-- - The bench was awesome.
00:07:39 - Yeah, Hauser is still like unbelievable
00:07:43 doing his thing from three.
00:07:46 Pritchard was really aggressive tonight
00:07:47 and he was all over the place.
00:07:48 So I don't know what you got combined from those guys,
00:07:50 but they all had around 10 points each.
00:07:52 - You just had a bad fourth quarter is all it is.
00:07:56 Otherwise this is a glowing gushing game almost all around.
00:07:59 Tatum started getting into his little baby stuff
00:08:02 where he was looking for fouls,
00:08:06 stuff wasn't going his way.
00:08:09 The couple possessions where he was like,
00:08:11 I haven't shot in a while, I'm gonna shoot.
00:08:13 It's just like, he didn't need that
00:08:15 because they were playing such a clean game.
00:08:17 Holiday, we'll get into Holiday in a little bit,
00:08:19 but this is his third stinker in a row.
00:08:22 - We'll wait for Bobby.
00:08:23 Bobby will talk about that, he already texted us.
00:08:26 I know you just shat on Tatum for a second, but--
00:08:29 - No, no, no, but then he makes two incredible drives late.
00:08:32 - Those drives are freaking awesome.
00:08:35 I feel like years, previous years, those aren't drives.
00:08:38 Those are step back, contested fade away jumpers
00:08:43 that have no chance of going in.
00:08:45 And now he's got this added element to his game
00:08:48 where he's just slicing and dicing his way to the hoop.
00:08:50 - I loved it.
00:08:51 - Yeah, was it Lopez or whoever it was,
00:08:54 he had going the wrong direction.
00:08:55 He blew right by him and dunked it on that first one.
00:08:58 - Got Lopez on the Hesi and went fast.
00:09:02 He went hard to the rim before Giannis
00:09:04 could come over and help.
00:09:05 Giannis kind of reached in late, but he was--
00:09:08 - Nobody wanted it.
00:09:09 - It was such a quick move, he was gone.
00:09:11 He was by him and he dunked it.
00:09:12 And that was great.
00:09:13 And then honestly, I liked that he worked
00:09:14 for that other one where he got fouled.
00:09:15 Because again, I agree with you at 10,000%, Jimmy,
00:09:19 those are absolutely fade away pull up jumpers,
00:09:23 which drive us insane.
00:09:26 'Cause those are like, honestly, like those are 23 percenters.
00:09:29 You know, like--
00:09:30 - New viewer, new viewer here.
00:09:32 - He does live in, but he does live in his mom's basement.
00:09:37 - On the holidays, folks, everyone who's watched the show
00:09:40 knows this scene.
00:09:41 This is the COVID scene, this is the holiday scene.
00:09:44 This is my mom's basement, literally, thank you.
00:09:47 (laughing)
00:09:49 What do we got here?
00:09:51 Here's a, we don't wanna miss this because,
00:09:53 thank you Bass Rock, or is it Bass Rock?
00:09:55 Probably Bass Rock.
00:09:56 Unless it's Bass Rock,
00:10:00 could be like a secret fishing spot.
00:10:02 Come on, John, it was a back to back.
00:10:04 Anywho, what's mind blowing?
00:10:05 We are the worst team in the NBA stat wise right now
00:10:08 in two point attempts, that's ridiculous.
00:10:11 Well, they're a three point team.
00:10:13 - Yes, and no.
00:10:14 - Now do three pointers.
00:10:15 - Are they good?
00:10:17 It doesn't, it's just math, baby.
00:10:19 I don't care what they shoot.
00:10:21 If they go in, they go in.
00:10:22 They were shooting an unsustainably high clip early
00:10:24 and I think that made things,
00:10:26 I was worried, I'll tell you this.
00:10:29 This felt like a game that, you know,
00:10:31 and this was almost like kind of the Celtics,
00:10:34 you know, analogous to what happened
00:10:36 with Tatum the other night.
00:10:37 He was hitting everything,
00:10:38 so then he just kept playing like everything
00:10:40 was gonna fall and he didn't play as well
00:10:42 in the second half.
00:10:43 The 45 point game, everyone would be like,
00:10:45 get off his back, he had 45.
00:10:46 He kind of sucked most of the second half
00:10:48 'cause he kept, he was doing the,
00:10:50 he was forcing, he was, everything was contested.
00:10:53 He wasn't playing within the flow.
00:10:55 And I, honestly, I can say probably that's why Jalen,
00:10:58 every time he touched it was like,
00:10:59 I gotta shoot man too because you're just--
00:11:01 - Oh, I love this comment.
00:11:02 - Yeah, what he did late.
00:11:04 Paul Pierce-esque.
00:11:06 - Is that a new Manila?
00:11:08 - I don't know, but the drive that he got fouled on,
00:11:13 that was a Paul Pierce type drive.
00:11:16 Just finding a way to the rim,
00:11:18 throwing your body up in the air
00:11:20 and taking the contact and going the line late in the game.
00:11:23 That is a Paul Pierce play.
00:11:25 John, I don't want you to start trashing Pierce now,
00:11:28 but that was a Paul Pierce type.
00:11:29 - I'm not trashing Pierce.
00:11:31 - Not now you're not.
00:11:33 - I thought they were gonna,
00:11:34 I was worried that when the threes weren't falling,
00:11:36 they were gonna come out and that was gonna be it.
00:11:38 And then what happened?
00:11:40 They come out and the Bucks start out like a six oh run
00:11:42 or whatever it is to start the third.
00:11:43 And here we go, we're in single digits
00:11:45 and uh-oh, there goes that lead.
00:11:47 And then they just kept going.
00:11:50 They just, they played really well that quarter
00:11:52 and the bench gave them great contributions.
00:11:55 So, I mean, again, I'm not gonna,
00:11:57 I hate, yeah, I did.
00:12:02 I hate, I hate the-
00:12:05 - You just hate.
00:12:06 - Run out the clock stuff for the 14, 16 point lead.
00:12:10 Just play basketball.
00:12:11 - I know.
00:12:12 - It's such a, it's such a dumb thing.
00:12:14 And then you end up with a score like this
00:12:16 and you're like, okay, what happened?
00:12:17 This was a pretty clean game.
00:12:18 They played really well.
00:12:19 They played well defensively for the most part.
00:12:22 Had some lapses, you know, from time to time.
00:12:25 Horford, I thought was great.
00:12:26 You know, all game long, you know.
00:12:29 - He was, yeah.
00:12:30 - Yeah, he was great, he was great.
00:12:33 So, you know, I'm not gonna dwell much on what happened.
00:12:37 I thought the third quarter was where there was a chance
00:12:40 that if the shots didn't fall at the same clip
00:12:42 that they could piss that lead away
00:12:44 and they didn't really.
00:12:46 - Correct.
00:12:48 - I hate, that's it.
00:12:49 I hate their, Blorp, I hate, therefore I am, okay?
00:12:53 - I just hate.
00:12:54 - I just hate.
00:12:55 - Here's a question for you, John.
00:12:58 Thought these Bucks,
00:12:59 thought these Bucks missed a bunch of bunnies.
00:13:02 Does our size worry you guys?
00:13:05 Worry is probably not the word.
00:13:08 It's-
00:13:09 - What was the question?
00:13:11 - He thought the Bucks missed a lot of bunnies
00:13:12 and that they're essentially bigger than the Celtics.
00:13:16 - Yeah, I mean.
00:13:20 - Right here.
00:13:20 - Again, make mislead, right?
00:13:22 I mean.
00:13:23 - You know, Lopez was getting in there.
00:13:26 Obviously Giannis gets in there.
00:13:28 I mean, that's what the Bucks do.
00:13:29 - They're big, man.
00:13:30 - Yeah, they're big.
00:13:31 And, you know, that's Giannis' game.
00:13:33 He leads the league in points in the paint.
00:13:35 Me and John have said he's the most boring superstar
00:13:37 in the league because he just doesn't really score
00:13:39 in any other fashion.
00:13:40 - Dad ball.
00:13:41 - Yeah, exactly.
00:13:42 He bullies his way.
00:13:43 It's like dad going out and playing
00:13:44 against the third graders.
00:13:46 They're like home after school.
00:13:48 - That's all I see with Giannis.
00:13:49 - Quick workout in, you know, break a quick sweat
00:13:51 and then you're back in to finish off the work day.
00:13:54 - Yeah.
00:13:55 - You know, that's Giannis out there.
00:13:56 And, but that's what the Bucks do.
00:13:59 And yeah, the Celtics aren't gonna be able to go,
00:14:02 you know, body to body with everyone else,
00:14:04 with the Bucks like that.
00:14:06 But you saw it tonight.
00:14:07 They countered in their own way.
00:14:09 Fast break, working the ball around,
00:14:11 staying on the perimeter, forcing the Bucks to come out.
00:14:14 And then when you hit your shots,
00:14:15 you can get back on defense.
00:14:16 You don't have to worry about Giannis coming down
00:14:18 in transition.
00:14:19 I think he had one off a miss where he had white,
00:14:22 you know, right out of the basket.
00:14:23 But other than that.
00:14:25 I hate complain, I hate complaining about the refs.
00:14:28 I hate, I hate complaining about the refs,
00:14:30 but I do appreciate the super chat here, Peter.
00:14:33 And I have to agree.
00:14:34 - Thanks Peter.
00:14:35 - They, they sucked.
00:14:37 Dan, thank you for watching really.
00:14:39 They sucked, man.
00:14:40 - Did you think the refs sucked tonight?
00:14:42 I didn't really.
00:14:42 - I thought, I thought late, I didn't like anything.
00:14:44 I thought, I thought Milwaukee was getting away with fouls
00:14:47 almost every trip down.
00:14:48 Offensive, Lopez is just throwing people around.
00:14:51 They were late whistle calls on Giannis
00:14:53 when they saw that the ball didn't go in.
00:14:55 Porzingis I thought got fouled
00:14:57 and then he got a tech there.
00:14:58 I thought they missed quite a few.
00:15:00 It was kind of annoying late for sure.
00:15:02 But yeah, it wasn't, it wasn't a great,
00:15:06 you're going to run into this on Giannis nights, you know.
00:15:09 It is what it is, but it's again, it's like,
00:15:12 it's almost like with Embiid,
00:15:15 when they played earlier in the year,
00:15:16 like you'll live with those numbers
00:15:18 if that's what he's going to get, you know?
00:15:20 I mean, you know, that's it.
00:15:22 I mean, Giannis is going to go seven for 20, 21 points.
00:15:25 Fine.
00:15:26 I mean, fine, you know?
00:15:28 And, you know, Lillard was quiet for a little bit too.
00:15:31 And then he kind of reminded everybody why he's, you know.
00:15:34 - Whoa.
00:15:35 Check out this super chat.
00:15:38 100,000, 100,000 IDRs.
00:15:43 Jimmy Lizards parents and has a job talking about basketball
00:15:45 while being a musician, winning in life.
00:15:48 It's a great super chat.
00:15:49 Thank you very much, Kevin Lay.
00:15:50 Thank you for the 100,000 IDRs.
00:15:52 Am I rich?
00:15:55 - No.
00:15:56 I think we had one of these before.
00:15:58 - I think it's like six bucks, which is fine.
00:16:02 Thank you very much, Kevin.
00:16:03 I appreciate it.
00:16:04 And you're right.
00:16:04 I am winning in life.
00:16:06 - Yeah.
00:16:07 Yes, but we do think anything.
00:16:10 Hey ma.
00:16:13 - The apple pie.
00:16:15 (laughing)
00:16:18 - Where were we talking about?
00:16:22 I can't get it.
00:16:23 I can't start with pies yet.
00:16:24 I'm gonna, we're gonna lose.
00:16:25 We got too many people in here.
00:16:27 We got too many people in here talking about basketball.
00:16:29 We're gonna hang out.
00:16:31 - Yes.
00:16:32 How about the Porzingis dunk on Lopez?
00:16:35 That was a nice one.
00:16:36 And then you had Brown.
00:16:37 I don't know if you heard this, John.
00:16:38 Brown and Porzingis are like, they're kind of friendly now.
00:16:41 They're friends.
00:16:41 - They're buddies.
00:16:42 - Did you hear about this?
00:16:43 They take rides together.
00:16:44 They live in the same building.
00:16:47 They throw alley-oops to each other.
00:16:48 - They're really missing,
00:16:50 they're missing great promo opportunity
00:16:52 to just do odd couple mashups with those guys.
00:16:55 - We need that.
00:16:57 That's where like weird Celtics Twitter comes in.
00:16:58 Where have they been?
00:16:59 I feel like we haven't seen them.
00:17:00 - I know, but I mean, NBC should be all over that.
00:17:02 They should be doing,
00:17:03 they should be like making a sitcom with a laugh track there.
00:17:06 - They really should.
00:17:07 - And writing some stuff.
00:17:08 - But yeah, they had a nice,
00:17:09 they had a couple of good connections tonight.
00:17:11 Porzingis dunked on, on Lopez.
00:17:14 And I was watching the ESPN broadcast and was it Mark Davis?
00:17:17 He said ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
00:17:20 He literally like kind of got morbid with it
00:17:23 and kind of buried Lopez after Porzingis dunked on him.
00:17:26 It was almost like we were at Lopez's funeral.
00:17:29 I loved every second of it.
00:17:30 I thought it was a great call.
00:17:32 I feel like you got to just,
00:17:33 once you get ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
00:17:36 like that's kind of it.
00:17:37 You don't really come back from that
00:17:39 if you're on the wrong side of that.
00:17:41 - No, that is it.
00:17:42 I thought Porzingis was solid.
00:17:44 - Picked up another tech,
00:17:47 didn't like that tech at the end.
00:17:48 - He was able to get where he needed to go.
00:17:52 He hit some tough shots in the paint there.
00:17:54 But again, I mean, I don't know what it is.
00:17:59 It's like he's Grant Williams or something.
00:18:01 Like the refs freaking hate him.
00:18:04 And he gets called for,
00:18:06 how many moving screens he get called for
00:18:08 that are just marginal at best?
00:18:10 Like he gets called for,
00:18:12 I mean, I think 80% of his fouls
00:18:15 have to be offensive fouls.
00:18:16 It's banana land to me.
00:18:18 - Who is this?
00:18:20 Sorry.
00:18:21 - Porzingis.
00:18:22 There's only two of us, Jimmy.
00:18:23 You can't go into lapses.
00:18:27 When there's four of us here,
00:18:28 you can disappear for a little bit.
00:18:29 With two of us, you got to focus.
00:18:31 - You said every foul Porzingis creates is an offensive foul.
00:18:34 - If I hit it to you, you got to hit it back to me.
00:18:37 Otherwise the game is over.
00:18:39 - Yeah, it's true.
00:18:40 Let's just start over, rewind.
00:18:41 (laughing)
00:18:44 - No, first off, we're going to play something.
00:18:47 We have-
00:18:48 - Like a game?
00:18:50 - No, we're going to play a game.
00:18:51 Yeah.
00:18:52 Pie oh my.
00:18:53 The game-
00:18:56 - Rank the pies that you made today.
00:18:57 Okay, yeah.
00:18:58 We're going to play a clip, I imagine.
00:19:00 - We're going to play a clip from Joe
00:19:01 talking about Jalen's bounce pack game
00:19:03 and why Joe loves him.
00:19:05 - He has a game like Mondays
00:19:08 or just kind of the ups and downs with the playmaking.
00:19:11 Do you spend extra time in the film?
00:19:13 Like how do you see him kind of react to a game like Mondays
00:19:16 and what leads to a night like tonight for him?
00:19:18 - I mean, one, it's not overreacting to a long year,
00:19:20 so you're going to have bad games.
00:19:21 And two, it's just his habits.
00:19:23 Regardless if he plays well or not, he does the same thing.
00:19:25 Same routine after shoot around,
00:19:27 whether it with his film and with Reid down the court
00:19:30 with his coaches.
00:19:31 And so for him, it's just, he stays even keel.
00:19:34 And so it's easy to trust him
00:19:35 and know that he's going to work his way back.
00:19:38 - Yeah.
00:19:39 - Okay.
00:19:40 - Not too high, not too low.
00:19:41 - Yep.
00:19:42 - Up, up, up, up.
00:19:43 - Put in your work.
00:19:45 Talk to the coaches.
00:19:47 Do your thing.
00:19:48 I wonder, here's what I've always wondered.
00:19:50 - Joe answer.
00:19:50 - It's fair.
00:19:53 I mean, no, it's fair.
00:19:54 Joe's pretty consistent with that.
00:19:57 I mean, Joe's philosophy is that, you know,
00:20:00 much in the same way Stevens did it back in the day,
00:20:03 I'm not going to go in here and tell these guys
00:20:05 what to do and what not to do.
00:20:07 I'm here to kind of provide some order.
00:20:09 (laughing)
00:20:11 Hey, Ma, you don't have to work anymore.
00:20:19 - Ma, I'm moving out.
00:20:20 (laughing)
00:20:22 - I was playing poker during the pandemic
00:20:30 with friends in India.
00:20:33 Like, yeah, but they were, you know.
00:20:36 - Were they friends that you made through poker in India?
00:20:40 - It was a friend of mine who lives here
00:20:41 who had friends in India and we were playing a game.
00:20:43 We were playing poker, but they were playing,
00:20:46 because it was like their game,
00:20:48 we were playing with rupees
00:20:49 and I had to keep doing the math.
00:20:50 And I'm like, this guy just bet 400,000.
00:20:53 I was like, is that a lot?
00:20:54 Like, how much am I in for here?
00:20:56 - Call, I guess.
00:20:58 Now I have to remortgage, but whatever.
00:21:00 - It was scary.
00:21:03 - Trying to do the math on it.
00:21:04 No, but here's what I wonder with Joe, right?
00:21:06 'Cause he's a let him play,
00:21:08 let him figure it out sort of thing.
00:21:10 But like, sometimes like players like that freedom,
00:21:15 but sometimes you gotta be like,
00:21:17 you gotta be a guy like Brown thinking like, okay, cool.
00:21:21 But like, can you tell the other guy
00:21:24 not to shoot all the time and maybe for him to work it?
00:21:27 Because then, you know, like,
00:21:28 I don't know if he's thinking that,
00:21:29 like Tatum's just frigging launching it out of his ass
00:21:32 every time he gets it.
00:21:33 Like, what am I supposed to be doing here?
00:21:35 Or when Joe sees them playing my turn, your turn,
00:21:39 should he say like, hey, Jalen,
00:21:41 on this team with these starters,
00:21:43 if you move or you get space or you, you know,
00:21:47 you're cutting or you're blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
00:21:51 that's gonna be the most effective thing for you to do.
00:21:53 Or is it just, hey, you guys are professionals.
00:21:56 Go out there, play, make the right read and go.
00:21:58 Because he always talks about that.
00:21:59 Like they don't run a lot of actions or sets.
00:22:02 They just kinda do, you know,
00:22:03 they just read and react to most things.
00:22:05 And, you know, Joe's pretty open about that.
00:22:07 He doesn't call a lot of stuff
00:22:09 and he just lets them kinda go
00:22:11 and just be good basketball players.
00:22:13 But like, when you have a lot of them,
00:22:15 it always feels like it's gonna be
00:22:17 at the expense of someone.
00:22:19 And the obvious redundancy between Tatum and Brown,
00:22:22 you know, when, it wasn't as big a deal
00:22:25 when it was only Tatum and Brown
00:22:27 'cause they're taking 60% of the shots anyway,
00:22:31 because there's nobody else there.
00:22:32 But now you have a legit,
00:22:34 and this is where the concern is,
00:22:35 a legit second or third option in Porzingis,
00:22:38 who needs to be fed, not just to keep him happy,
00:22:41 but because he's a threat
00:22:43 from multiple places on the court.
00:22:44 You have to look for him.
00:22:45 And then you have guys like Holliday up until recently,
00:22:48 and White who can find their own.
00:22:50 You're gonna find guys kinda wondering,
00:22:52 like, am I, what am I doing?
00:22:53 Should I do this now or not do this?
00:22:55 I wonder how much Joe kinda jumps in there
00:22:57 when he sees it getting all mucky,
00:22:59 like it has the last couple of games
00:23:00 and be like, let's figure out
00:23:03 what our roles are a little bit more.
00:23:05 I don't know.
00:23:06 - Yeah, I don't know how much he jumps in mid-game.
00:23:08 It doesn't seem like that often.
00:23:10 I will say that by having Holliday out there with White,
00:23:15 and I know Holliday has been playing great
00:23:17 on the offensive end, certainly,
00:23:18 but those are like two in-game coaches.
00:23:21 Those guys are so smart on both ends.
00:23:23 They get players in the right positions.
00:23:24 They work the ball around.
00:23:26 Where I think Mizzou doesn't have to maybe worry
00:23:30 if that's the word about whether or not Tatum and Brown
00:23:33 are gonna get in each other's way or make the right play.
00:23:37 I know that he trusts Tatum and Brown
00:23:39 as either one of those guys to be the ones to take the shot.
00:23:42 He said that.
00:23:43 He said, "We want it to be Tatum.
00:23:44 "We want it to be Brown late in game."
00:23:45 So Porzingis, I think, is aware of that as well,
00:23:48 and Porzingis has done and said all the right things.
00:23:52 He knows that he's, whether you agree with it or not,
00:23:55 he knows that he's the third guy on this team.
00:23:57 Some nights it might be different,
00:23:59 but I think overall, regardless of how well
00:24:01 you think Jaylin Brown's played this year,
00:24:03 he's still number two on the team,
00:24:04 and obviously Tatum's number one,
00:24:06 and that's not gonna change.
00:24:08 I think Mizzou is probably hoping that
00:24:12 as these games go on and the season progresses,
00:24:15 that these guys, with the experience playing together,
00:24:18 are gonna fit into the roles
00:24:20 that they're comfortable being in.
00:24:22 And it's reps, right?
00:24:24 I mean, the more you're out there in those situations,
00:24:27 the better off you're going to end up finding yourself.
00:24:30 So tonight was a great example of Jaylin Brown
00:24:32 not trying to do too much.
00:24:34 Again, eight assists, one turnover.
00:24:37 I wonder if he's ever had that stat line.
00:24:39 Probably not.
00:24:40 And I think there were situations in previous seasons
00:24:44 where it wouldn't be eight assists.
00:24:46 It might be four assists and four turnovers.
00:24:48 You know what I'm saying?
00:24:49 So him not trying to force shots,
00:24:51 him not trying to dribble too much
00:24:53 and lose the ball that way is a breath of fresh air.
00:24:58 Is that a Mizzou-a thing?
00:25:01 I don't know.
00:25:02 I think it's these guys that are just slowly understanding
00:25:05 the looks that are coming out there.
00:25:07 Yeah, Mizzou is gonna obviously sometimes call a timeout
00:25:11 and explain something that he sees,
00:25:13 but otherwise he's trusting these guys to figure it out.
00:25:16 Sometimes it's backfire.
00:25:17 Don't get me wrong.
00:25:18 They had very poor execution last season,
00:25:20 but this year we're seeing it a lot less.
00:25:22 And yeah, they gave up a lead in the fourth quarter.
00:25:24 That happens in the NBA,
00:25:25 but they were able to settle down, figure it out
00:25:27 and come out with the win.
00:25:28 So I don't know.
00:25:30 - You do know.
00:25:32 - I don't know.
00:25:34 I literally do not know.
00:25:35 - I don't know either.
00:25:38 But yeah.
00:25:39 - No, this is one, there you go.
00:25:41 There you go, John.
00:25:42 We're both gonna ride off into the sunset together.
00:25:45 - Lemon cakes, lemon squares.
00:25:49 - Lemon cakes with Lou.
00:25:52 (laughing)
00:25:54 Yeah, hold them on one of those stupid apps.
00:25:57 I probably played that like way too much
00:26:02 during the pandemic.
00:26:05 - Played what one?
00:26:06 - Just online poker.
00:26:07 - Oh, online poker.
00:26:08 Were you an online poker guy?
00:26:10 Yeah.
00:26:11 That was like a high school thing for me.
00:26:12 I got, I broke the-
00:26:14 - No, but we were playing with each other.
00:26:16 Like, you know, like playing with friends.
00:26:18 - Yeah.
00:26:19 - 'Cause we couldn't connect.
00:26:19 - That's true.
00:26:20 - So we tried poker back up for a bit anyways.
00:26:23 - We were doing a ton of that stuff.
00:26:25 So, but anyway, you know, on the Jalen stuff again,
00:26:28 I just, you know, it's the fact that he can,
00:26:31 that is both encouraging and frustrating, I guess,
00:26:34 because it's like, just do this.
00:26:36 Like, isn't this better?
00:26:38 Like, doesn't, don't you feel better after this?
00:26:40 You know, like, it's just a cleaner game, you know?
00:26:43 It's just better.
00:26:45 - Yeah, I almost have to see it.
00:26:46 I want him to like watch this game back, see it,
00:26:49 and be like, that felt awesome.
00:26:51 I just want to do this forever.
00:26:52 - It's just better basketball.
00:26:55 It's basic, you know?
00:26:56 Like, it's just simple.
00:26:59 - It's not as sexy.
00:26:59 It's not like dropping 40.
00:27:01 Like, that's sexy, right?
00:27:02 - Yeah, but it's like, everyone doesn't have to be Kobe.
00:27:04 You don't need to break someone's ankles, you know,
00:27:07 and rise up and hit some difficult fade away, you know?
00:27:10 Like, it's not, you know, and go up and like the stupid,
00:27:13 my goodness, like pull back donkey tried the other night
00:27:17 that wasn't against a legit shot blocker
00:27:19 when he's nowhere near the basket.
00:27:22 We don't need that.
00:27:23 - No, I like, no, I still do that.
00:27:24 I want the highlight dunk still.
00:27:26 I don't, I'd rather have the highlight dunks
00:27:28 than like the 12 three-pointers.
00:27:30 So give me, like he had the nice dunk tonight,
00:27:32 the little windmill type dunk.
00:27:35 I'm good for one of those still,
00:27:36 but pass up the forced shot or the, you know,
00:27:41 dribbling into two guys and turning it over.
00:27:43 Stop doing that stuff.
00:27:44 And now we're talking.
00:27:46 Now we're cooking.
00:27:47 - Yeah.
00:27:48 Now we're cooking.
00:27:51 - What's up, Kes?
00:27:52 - What's up, Kes?
00:27:54 Trying to get some of my sponsor stuff here.
00:27:57 Let me get, is this it?
00:27:58 Yes, I got it.
00:27:59 I found it.
00:28:01 I needed it.
00:28:02 I found it.
00:28:03 - I knew you were doing something, dude.
00:28:06 - I know.
00:28:06 Sometimes I have to do something.
00:28:08 I got a lot on my plate here.
00:28:10 Not just pies, Jimmy.
00:28:11 I got to manage this.
00:28:12 - You got a lot of pies on those plates over there too
00:28:15 out here.
00:28:16 - I got to manage.
00:28:16 - I'm hearing there's a brownie in the works too.
00:28:19 - There's a brownie that goes,
00:28:21 brownie gets, Jalen Brown gets the brownie tonight.
00:28:23 No question about it.
00:28:24 He gets the pecan pie brownie,
00:28:27 which was my special dessert for this holiday season.
00:28:31 - It looked good.
00:28:32 You sent me a picture.
00:28:33 - It was, we talked, I was joking about your waffle
00:28:37 the other day, just being a plate of, you know,
00:28:39 diabetes there.
00:28:40 This is, this thing is, it's rich and it's sweet.
00:28:44 And like, you should- - Topped with sugar.
00:28:45 - You shouldn't eat more than none of them.
00:28:48 Like you shouldn't eat any of these.
00:28:49 - You shouldn't eat them like after 6 p.m.
00:28:52 You should-
00:28:53 - I had a bite of one and immediately I was like,
00:28:55 start giving them away.
00:28:56 We, I had my daughter run some to the neighbors.
00:28:58 I was like, oh, get these out of here.
00:29:01 But let you guys know, if you want to get involved,
00:29:04 full slate of football games going tomorrow.
00:29:07 What's better than turkey?

00:29:12 But you know, Thanksgiving.
00:29:14 - Here we go.
00:29:15 - What?
00:29:16 - With the takes. - The controversial takes?

00:30:11 You don't have to send it to me
00:30:12 'cause we wanna tell you guys about SeatGeek.
00:30:15 - SeatGeek, okay.
00:30:17 - As well. - What do we got here?
00:30:18 - What is it?
00:30:19 I'm excited.
00:30:22 Jimmy, you and I do this a lot, right?
00:30:24 It's not just sports.
00:30:25 We go out and see a lot of music
00:30:27 and sometimes you gotta get involved.
00:30:29 Sometimes you gotta go there.
00:30:30 You gotta find your seats, gotta get your tickets.
00:30:33 Can't miss certain acts.
00:30:34 They only come around every so often.
00:30:37 And so that's what I'm looking for sometimes.
00:30:39 - Sometimes you gotta pony up a little,
00:30:41 a couple extra bucks to get the better view,
00:30:43 to better seat.
00:30:44 So I mean, what better way to do that than right now, right?
00:30:47 - Exactly.
00:30:48 So SeatGeek, it's America's number one rated ticketing app.
00:30:52 28 million downloads, 70,000 events every single day
00:30:55 that you can access on SeatGeek,
00:30:58 concerts, sports, festivals, whatever you have.
00:31:01 So again, check it out.
00:31:02 NFL, NBA, NHL season's full swing.
00:31:05 Concert season, I got my concert tickets.
00:31:07 I'm all set.
00:31:08 I know what I'm doing the rest of the year.
00:31:09 - The Rolling Stones just announced a concert today
00:31:11 coming to Gillette.
00:31:13 - I know, I'm booked through the new year.
00:31:15 - Jelso will be there.
00:31:17 - Yeah, I'm looking.
00:31:18 - You're booked through the new year?
00:31:19 - Yeah, I've got my stuff going.
00:31:22 But again, a really good resource
00:31:23 if you wanna get going.
00:31:25 So again, our partners, our friends over at Dreamers Pro,
00:31:28 the Dreamers Pro podcast here.
00:31:30 If you can use that code, Dreamers Pro,
00:31:33 you get $20 off your tickets at SeatGeek.
00:31:35 That's pretty good.
00:31:36 - $20 off your first purchase
00:31:39 with a promo code @DreamersPro.
00:31:41 So again, download that app,
00:31:43 get 20 bucks off your first order.
00:31:45 - That's pretty good.
00:31:46 - Where you use the code DreamersPro,
00:31:48 Dreamers Pro, another podcast on the CLNS Media Network.
00:31:52 And a really good deal here
00:31:53 if you're trying to get to some event here
00:31:56 in and around the new year,
00:31:57 or really at any point in time,
00:31:59 good resource to have.
00:32:00 And why not shave a little bit off that price?
00:32:02 20 bucks there.
00:32:03 - You can't use it on a Westfall show yet,
00:32:05 but that someday you'll be able to.
00:32:08 - Yeah.
00:32:09 So we're back here.
00:32:10 Joe Sway is gonna be joining us from a little bit,
00:32:12 a little bit from the garden.
00:32:13 He's hanging out right now.
00:32:15 Bobby's in there too.
00:32:16 Did we get cornet action today?
00:32:17 No.
00:32:18 Did they stay with eight?
00:32:19 - We got a cornet selly.
00:32:21 We got a nice cornet selly.
00:32:22 - A really good one.
00:32:23 - On that, who was that?
00:32:25 - Was it the Hauser dunk?
00:32:26 - Yeah, it was the Hauser dunk.
00:32:27 And rightfully so.
00:32:29 I think everybody was on their feet after that one.
00:32:32 - That was great.
00:32:32 - Hauser threw down.
00:32:35 - That was great.
00:32:36 He did.
00:32:37 Hauser, as many two pointers as three pointers today.
00:32:40 That doesn't happen very often.
00:32:42 - No.
00:32:43 But when you're getting lobs,
00:32:44 sometimes you get to pass up the three.
00:32:46 You pass up a three for a lob.
00:32:48 That's about it.
00:32:48 - But how about that?
00:32:49 Every single Celtic in double figures tonight,
00:32:51 except for Drew Holliday,
00:32:53 who played his third straight.
00:32:55 And Bobby's gonna-
00:33:00 - Not a highlight reel.
00:33:01 - He's coming in here.
00:33:02 No.
00:33:03 - Guns blazing.
00:33:04 I was at shoot around today
00:33:07 and I talked to Holliday,
00:33:09 with a couple other reporters.
00:33:11 And he plays it really cool about the Milwaukee stuff.
00:33:16 If I'm gonna just read it,
00:33:20 I think he's peeved.
00:33:22 He took a little barb at the,
00:33:23 had a little barb.
00:33:24 Would have been nice if they told me.
00:33:27 I had no idea.
00:33:29 A couple of passive things.
00:33:30 It was like, it was well,
00:33:31 I mean, I was a buck up until like
00:33:33 the day before training camp.
00:33:35 So yeah, definitely shocked.
00:33:37 You see him in the locker room before the game,
00:33:39 kind of walking around.
00:33:40 Like, you know,
00:33:41 I know he's got his bearings here
00:33:42 and he's in a good situation.
00:33:43 I definitely think he was a little bit jolted by it.
00:33:46 I don't think he's gonna feel too happy
00:33:47 about this stat line right here.
00:33:50 - No, he's not.
00:33:52 And maybe a little bit of that is,
00:33:54 you know, again,
00:33:54 we were talking about forcing it a little bit
00:33:56 or thinking a little bit too much.
00:33:58 - And he does this.
00:33:59 - It's just a soccer now.
00:34:00 But yeah.
00:34:01 - Yeah.
00:34:02 Yeah, go ahead.
00:34:03 - We're just doing this with the bucks.
00:34:04 We just didn't notice it's all good.
00:34:06 Yeah, he's not a,
00:34:08 he's not Damian Lillard, right?
00:34:09 On the offense.
00:34:10 He's not an offensive.
00:34:12 He's not known for his offense.
00:34:14 He's known for his defense.
00:34:15 And so I guess the benefit of that
00:34:19 when he does have an off night shooting
00:34:20 is that he's not a liability on the other end as well.
00:34:23 So you take the good with the bad.
00:34:26 You'd like him to shoot a lot better than one of eight,
00:34:28 obviously, and one from five from three.
00:34:29 I thought a couple of those shots,
00:34:31 again, he's trying to get back.
00:34:35 You know, you could see he's trying to find that shot again.
00:34:38 So he's taken maybe a couple of shots that he shouldn't.
00:34:41 I'd be pissed off if I was him too.
00:34:42 I mean, I'm not saying he's still pissed off
00:34:46 that he's not in the bucks,
00:34:47 but you have to remember, these guys have families.
00:34:49 They got to figure out what the hell's going on now
00:34:51 with their, what are they going to do with living situations
00:34:54 just like that?
00:34:54 He's going to Portland, obviously,
00:34:56 he doesn't want to play there.
00:34:57 He doesn't think he's going to play there.
00:34:58 So where's he going next?
00:34:59 - Yeah.
00:35:00 - A lot of uncertainty.
00:35:01 They paid a lot of money to deal with it.
00:35:02 So no one's really feeling that bad for them,
00:35:03 but they have a right to be pissed
00:35:05 at their former organization for the way it went down.
00:35:08 I saw him go into the visitor's locker room,
00:35:11 the bucks locker room before the game,
00:35:13 and say hi to all the former teammates and everything.
00:35:16 And he seemed happy to say hi.
00:35:19 - Giannis wasn't that buzzy, huh?
00:35:21 - I did notice the interaction with Giannis was relatively,
00:35:26 I'm not going to say cold, but it wasn't very loving.
00:35:28 - I was going to pretend I didn't see you.
00:35:30 - Yeah, until you came up to me.
00:35:32 - He was like looking at like a iPad.
00:35:34 - He's looking down.
00:35:35 That was weird, actually.
00:35:37 - It was weird.
00:35:38 And then I clicked on the tweet and the first comment,
00:35:40 the first comment under the tweet was,
00:35:43 Giannis being awkward because he knows he got him traded.
00:35:47 And it was like, yeah, that's actually definitely true.
00:35:52 Like everybody knows that Giannis made that trade happen.
00:35:54 And so he basically forced them to trade Drew.
00:35:58 So whether or not they,
00:36:01 what it appears basically on that clip
00:36:03 is that there's definitely an unspoken,
00:36:06 awkwardness between the two now
00:36:09 because of that being the case.
00:36:11 - Yeah, exactly.
00:36:11 - Yeah, holiday stat line, nothing to be-
00:36:14 - And he didn't play a horrible game.
00:36:16 I still think he's making good decisions.
00:36:17 I still think he's solid on defense.
00:36:19 He's just been struggling a little bit here,
00:36:22 with knocking down shots.
00:36:27 But again, he went from an eight turnover game
00:36:29 to a two turnover game.
00:36:31 Mr. Perfect, Derek White,
00:36:32 who everyone thinks could do no wrong,
00:36:34 six turnovers tonight.
00:36:35 We're gonna give Derek a pass
00:36:37 because that doesn't happen very often.
00:36:40 - It doesn't, it doesn't.
00:36:42 And I did think he made a lot of nice plays tonight
00:36:47 and extra looks tonight as well.
00:36:48 I mean, he's not filling up the stat line either,
00:36:50 but those two guys have been rock solid this season,
00:36:55 White and Holiday.
00:36:57 I don't know if there's a better two,
00:36:59 two way guard combination in the league right now.
00:37:02 So you're not gonna put your hair out about it.
00:37:07 It happens, but they had production from their,
00:37:12 their three horses there,
00:37:14 Tatum, Brown and Porzingis, each with over 20.
00:37:16 And we already mentioned Brown kind of at the top
00:37:19 and they were the good things.
00:37:21 And honestly, the difference, the bench,
00:37:24 you got 31 points from your bench tonight,
00:37:27 all spread out between Warford, Pritchard and Hauser.
00:37:29 They're going with an eight man,
00:37:32 basically eight guys right now, eight man rotation.
00:37:35 And tell you what,
00:37:36 if you're getting that type of production from the bench,
00:37:39 you're gonna win a lot of games.
00:37:41 And it affords guys like Holiday or White,
00:37:44 or an off night from one of the top three guys
00:37:48 once in a while,
00:37:49 if you're getting production from that second unit.
00:37:51 And they did.
00:37:52 I mean, if you look at the plus minus tonight too,
00:37:54 kind of weird.
00:37:55 Every Celtic except Porzingis was in the negative
00:37:59 and you had Warford, Pritchard, Hauser all in the positive.
00:38:02 Hauser was plus 10, Pritchard plus six
00:38:05 and Warford plus five.
00:38:06 Everybody else in negative except Porzingis.
00:38:08 So the bench really showing their worth tonight
00:38:10 against a Bucks team that I think most people would say is,
00:38:14 you know, I guess their bench is fine.
00:38:18 They have Portis and Connington off the bench.
00:38:20 It's really nothing.
00:38:21 - This is quite a comment.
00:38:22 Hey Colin, how are you buddy?
00:38:24 Super chat.
00:38:25 - Colin dropped 50 on us last show.
00:38:28 So you can say anything you wanna say, bud.
00:38:30 (laughing)
00:38:31 - Seriously.
00:38:32 - Yeah.
00:38:33 Dame kicked Gino in the nuts, I guess.
00:38:36 - Dame charged across the dance floor
00:38:38 and kicked Gino in the nuts.
00:38:40 Luckily Gino got up.
00:38:41 Go Bee Gees.
00:38:42 I got you, yeah.
00:38:44 - Yeah.
00:38:44 - As long as it wasn't Kyrie.
00:38:46 Anybody but Kyrie can do that.
00:38:48 - Yeah.
00:38:49 I wanna say hey to Dudley.
00:38:51 Dud, you've been conspicuously absent.
00:38:53 I don't love it.
00:38:54 I just wanna point out that I notice,
00:38:58 but I'm glad you're here tonight.
00:38:59 Also, Big Cass, always good to have you in here.
00:39:02 And all of the regulars and all of the OGs,
00:39:05 thanks for hanging out with us on Thanksgiving Eve here
00:39:09 and many nights on the Garden Report.
00:39:11 We do appreciate you guys hanging out.
00:39:13 Yeah, I think Joe Sway is threatening to come in,
00:39:18 but we'll get to him in a little bit and Bobby as well.
00:39:21 Let me see, I might have another soundbite here
00:39:23 for us to play.
00:39:24 No, I got poor Zingus talking about his best buddy, J-Lo.
00:39:27 We don't have it yet.
00:39:29 We don't have it yet.
00:39:30 - Oh, what the F, Ahmet.
00:39:31 - Because Ahmet is frigging cleaning up your shit
00:39:34 all the time and he doesn't have time for Thanksgiving.
00:39:36 - I don't have anything to clean up.
00:39:38 Unbelievable.
00:39:41 - Yeah.
00:39:43 We'll get to that in a little bit.
00:39:47 But yeah, I mean, first look at the Bucs with Dame.
00:39:51 General impressions?
00:39:53 - I mean, Dame was really cool to start this game,
00:39:58 so I wasn't super impressed, but he got--
00:40:00 - I forgot he played for them for a little bit.
00:40:01 Like I wasn't paying attention.
00:40:03 Like I was deep in pies in the first quarter.
00:40:06 - I bet you were.
00:40:07 - Yeah, yeah.
00:40:08 - I don't know.
00:40:12 I mean, I think defensively,
00:40:13 they've definitely lost a step or two.
00:40:15 And I don't know if that's just because Dame's there
00:40:17 and Holiday's gone,
00:40:18 but I feel like they're either not focusing on it,
00:40:22 they're just slower, older.
00:40:24 I don't know what words you want to use for it,
00:40:26 but that's what stood out to me is that I felt, again,
00:40:28 and I know it ended up being a close game,
00:40:30 but I felt in the first half,
00:40:32 the Celtics were by far the better team,
00:40:36 the more energetic team, getting up and down the court,
00:40:38 playing with a lot more like purpose
00:40:41 and getting back on defense.
00:40:44 They weren't, you know,
00:40:44 it just seemed like one team was clearly better
00:40:47 than the other.
00:40:48 And I thought, you know, again,
00:40:50 the Bucks came out in the third quarter
00:40:51 and they played a little bit sharper,
00:40:54 but I wasn't super impressed by Lillard tonight.
00:40:57 And you know, what does that mean?
00:40:58 Nothing.
00:40:59 I mean, he's still Damian Lillard
00:41:01 and he's still going to hit massive shots.
00:41:02 And I know that he's come up huge for them already
00:41:04 in multiple games this year.
00:41:06 He hit a three late in the game tonight,
00:41:08 but overall, eh, nothing.

00:42:13 We'd call that a winning bet.
00:42:14 - I 10,000% did not do that.
00:42:18 - You just cut me off for a Tangway.
00:42:20 - I legit did not do that.
00:42:22 - Then why did you take it off?
00:42:23 - Everything went crazy.
00:42:24 Here's what happened.
00:42:26 My headphones, my Bluetooth, I didn't charge it enough.
00:42:29 It's telling me it's gonna go out.
00:42:31 So I freaked out.
00:42:32 I looked for the cord.
00:42:33 All of a sudden, Ahmed comes in over the chat,
00:42:35 says, "I can't hear you guys anymore.
00:42:37 "If you need me, text."
00:42:38 And I was like, "What?"
00:42:39 And while he's telling me of his glitch,
00:42:42 Tangway just starts spitting out advertisements.
00:42:45 - I'm in the middle of my spiel.
00:42:49 I don't even remember what I was saying.
00:42:51 And I all of a sudden,
00:42:53 I felt like I was back in the newsroom
00:42:54 where I'm in the middle of typing
00:42:55 and Tangway just comes over and starts talking in my ear.
00:42:58 - I didn't do that.
00:42:59 - What's going on?
00:43:02 You got a combo between Dudley and Kes
00:43:03 on our screen right now going back and forth?
00:43:05 - Yeah, it's just riffing.
00:43:07 You guys should get an apartment together.
00:43:09 You really should.
00:43:10 - Can we go back to you cutting me off like that?
00:43:12 - I didn't mean to, Tangway.
00:43:14 - You still let it run for-
00:43:16 - Tangway, you son of a-
00:43:17 - You could have stopped the reef.
00:43:18 - I couldn't find it.
00:43:20 - You couldn't find the time to get in there.
00:43:22 - By the time I did, I was actually kind of enjoying it.
00:43:25 I thought Gary did a good job with it.
00:43:27 - Look at this.
00:43:28 - Yeah.
00:43:30 - Chat, and the chat's confused.
00:43:31 Everyone's freaking out.
00:43:33 - Pie check.
00:43:34 - Yeah, yeah, is that where you disappeared?
00:43:37 - Yep.
00:43:38 - Here we go, look at this.
00:43:40 Guys, I want to point out, I didn't say this,
00:43:43 even though I did say this, it's a bold prediction.
00:43:45 We had to predict something, but yes, this was a bad take.
00:43:48 Hauser's been great.
00:43:49 Ama didn't do anything.
00:43:52 - Bobby posted that on a show that you weren't on recently.
00:43:55 He created a lower third for it and he blasted it on there.
00:43:59 - I don't care.
00:44:00 Do I care?
00:44:01 - No.
00:44:03 - No, I don't care.
00:44:05 Come at me.
00:44:06 Go away.
00:44:08 - What are you guys talking about in here?
00:44:09 You guys going through the bold predictions already?
00:44:13 - We're talking about John.
00:44:14 - Shit got weird.
00:44:15 - Talking about John who blasted a three minute ad
00:44:19 over like my, I don't even know what I was saying.
00:44:22 All of a sudden I got tangway in my ear.
00:44:25 - Yeah, next time you say something I don't like,
00:44:27 frigging you're getting tangwayed.
00:44:29 - That should be the new rule.
00:44:30 If you're saying something stupid,
00:44:32 three minute tangway read, everybody has to suffer.
00:44:37 - Hey, Gary does a great job with those reads.
00:44:40 I don't know if I call it suffering.
00:44:42 The only person suffering is the one
00:44:43 that's trying to speak I guess.
00:44:45 - Jimmy is the fan favorite.
00:44:46 I admitted this last show.
00:44:47 Like I said, Jimmy gets less.
00:44:50 - Judah with a rare compliment.
00:44:52 - Jimmy gets less heat than everyone.
00:44:54 - 'Cause I, you know why?
00:44:55 Because I say less.
00:44:57 That's a little trick.
00:44:58 - No, you're just cooler than us.
00:44:59 - Say less.
00:45:01 Say less.
00:45:01 - Less is more.
00:45:02 - Better to remain silent and be thought the fool
00:45:05 than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
00:45:06 - Exactly.
00:45:07 Although a lot of people still know I'm a fool
00:45:10 and I've said less.
00:45:11 - What did I just walk into?
00:45:13 What is this?
00:45:14 - Show sway.
00:45:15 - Is this the self-loathing part of the show?
00:45:18 What's going on?
00:45:18 - We got show sway in the building.
00:45:20 - Everyone in the chat was blaming me.
00:45:22 - Good.
00:45:24 - You got.
00:45:25 - Oh, let me guess.
00:45:26 It's got something to do with pies, doesn't it?
00:45:28 - You got tangwayed.
00:45:29 No, just weird shit happened.
00:45:31 And all of a sudden, tangwayed just started talking over.
00:45:36 Jimmy's like, "And I'll tell you,
00:45:38 the thing I've wanted to say my whole life
00:45:40 that finally just came to me,
00:45:43 maybe the most important take of my life."
00:45:45 - Now all of a sudden it's like, "Yeah."
00:45:48 - Here we are.
00:45:49 - It's time to bet with fame.
00:45:50 - Go bet.
00:45:52 Odds are it's not a sports book,
00:45:54 but it's smart that makes you bet well.
00:45:57 Three means go.
00:45:59 - Gary's got great flow.
00:46:02 Yeah, that's spot on, pretty much.
00:46:04 - Honestly, Gary may have saved me
00:46:05 'cause I don't even remember what I was saying
00:46:07 or where I was going with it.
00:46:09 So it probably worked out.
00:46:11 - Yeah, it worked out for the best.
00:46:13 - He's got great pipes.
00:46:14 I actually did start to get into it.
00:46:15 I was like, "Oh, I'm digging Gary's read right now."
00:46:18 - Yeah, man.
00:46:19 Like I'm a fan for sure.
00:46:21 - It's better than the way you say it, John.
00:46:24 - Yeah, it is.
00:46:25 I suck at most things.
00:46:27 Joe Sway, tell us.
00:46:28 - I'll drink to that.
00:46:29 Thank you, everybody.
00:46:29 - We've spent about 30 minutes on you.
00:46:32 You can spend a few more.
00:46:33 - Yeah, why not?
00:46:34 - I mean, I love what Chris Dapsper's thing is
00:46:37 I had to say, especially his relationship.
00:46:39 - Oh, wait, wait, wait.
00:46:40 I'll play it for you.
00:46:41 - Off the floor.
00:46:43 And here's a bit, here's a clip of that.
00:46:45 Right here.
00:46:46 - Sorry, Ahmed put it up there.
00:46:47 Let me play it and then talk about it.
00:46:48 - Hey, wait, why don't you say something?
00:46:50 Oh, wait, John's gonna put you off now.
00:46:51 - No, Ahmed just told me it's here.
00:46:53 This is the chemistry bite.
00:46:54 Well, let's hear from Chris Daps
00:46:55 and then talk about it on the back end.
00:46:57 - You stole my tease, John.
00:46:59 - I didn't know it was in here.
00:47:01 - He's a bad guy.
00:47:01 - Oh, Ahmed called it.
00:47:03 He hit the odds are when he was glitching.
00:47:06 - And he was quiet this whole time.
00:47:08 - Don't blame the phenomenon.
00:47:09 - Don't blame the phenomenon.
00:47:10 - The producer was like, oh, this is all.
00:47:11 - It's just him making the game like easy for me.
00:47:14 I'm just making reads off of him.
00:47:16 If he comes off and he wants the handoff,
00:47:18 boom, I hand it to him.
00:47:19 I start rolling.
00:47:20 He kind of plays that game a little bit
00:47:23 and then he just either finish or throw the lob
00:47:25 and he's making it easy for me.
00:47:28 And then, yeah, and he's so explosive
00:47:30 and so quick with those back cuts and things like that
00:47:34 that it's also kind of natural for me
00:47:36 to just hit him on those back cuts and things like that.
00:47:38 So, yeah, all credit to JB.
00:47:41 - Yeah, but like you even have like
00:47:43 little behind the back flip to him.
00:47:46 - He's getting there.
00:47:47 It's not like, I would have liked that to be a little cleaner.
00:47:49 You know, it wasn't as clean as I would have liked to,
00:47:51 but we're getting there, yeah.
00:47:54 You know, some glimpses of those kinds of things.
00:47:58 Of course, we don't want to go overboard
00:47:59 and try to be fancy with the stuff.
00:48:01 We just want to be effective.
00:48:02 But those kinds of plays,
00:48:05 I believe will happen more and more.
00:48:06 And as again, it's just,
00:48:09 it's kind of natural for us to just play off of each other.
00:48:12 - Well said, Chris Stapps.
00:48:15 Well said.
00:48:16 - Why is this happening, Josue?
00:48:16 Why these two outside of like-
00:48:18 - You guys even like take rides together
00:48:21 and finish each other's-
00:48:23 - Sandwiches.
00:48:23 - Sandwiches.
00:48:24 (Josue laughs)
00:48:25 - Where's that from?
00:48:26 - Hives.
00:48:28 - Yeah, you guys like sit at the lunch table together
00:48:30 and stuff.
00:48:31 - I mean, yeah, that has something to do with it.
00:48:34 But for me, the difference tonight was,
00:48:35 you sell a part where Chris Stapps in the beginning
00:48:37 said that Jalen does his thing, you know,
00:48:39 and we all know what that thing is, right?
00:48:40 Where he's dribbling, dribbling, dribbling,
00:48:42 trying to make a decision.
00:48:42 He didn't do that as much tonight, right?
00:48:45 He got into his decision-making bag, so to speak, right?
00:48:50 And he's just making these split decisions.
00:48:51 And I think a lot of times,
00:48:52 that's what's really been hurting him
00:48:54 in games and stretches where he can't find his offense
00:48:57 and he's out of tune with the rest of the offense.
00:48:59 And it's because he didn't take so long
00:49:02 to make those decisions this time around, right?
00:49:04 Even from the beginning, right?
00:49:05 I mean, literally, the first play of the game,
00:49:07 he goes right to the rim and dunks it home, right?
00:49:10 Gets a hand on the ball
00:49:11 on the defensive end of the floor, right?
00:49:12 You know, and then now you see this two-man game
00:49:14 between him and Chris Stapps where it's an alley-oop
00:49:16 or it's Jalen blowing past the defender every single time.
00:49:19 And the better they get at this,
00:49:21 it's only gonna make them,
00:49:23 it's only gonna make Jalen a better playmaker,
00:49:24 in my opinion.
00:49:25 And again, tonight, that was the biggest difference
00:49:28 in every facet of the game,
00:49:30 when talking about Jalen's approach.
00:49:32 It was no lag, there was no second guessing.
00:49:36 He got right into his offense
00:49:37 and that two-man game between him and Chris Stapps
00:49:39 is only gonna get better.
00:49:40 You're seeing that right now.
00:49:41 - Facts, my dog.
00:49:44 - You know, like that's the difference.
00:49:45 And look, Chris Stapps, from playing in this game
00:49:50 to the game in Philly, the matchups against the Knicks,
00:49:53 like he's continuing to play in these marquee matchups
00:49:56 and you're seeing a dialed-in focus version of Chris Stapps.
00:50:00 And he even said that, kind of jokingly,
00:50:01 but said that, man, maybe that's what's leading
00:50:03 to all these technical fouls, right?
00:50:05 'Cause he wants to put everything out on the floor
00:50:07 and he's so passionate.
00:50:08 And the moment he hears a whistle, it's just like,
00:50:10 you know, clapping his hands or looking at the ref.
00:50:12 You know what I mean?
00:50:13 And it's not like, I can't believe you just called that,
00:50:14 but it's more of a, I'm so in tune in the game
00:50:16 that I just, it looks bad.
00:50:18 It's bad body language, you know?
00:50:19 So it's something that he's gonna have to work on.
00:50:21 He said to us, you know, especially at the end of this game
00:50:24 where the Bucs certainly made it a lot more interesting,
00:50:27 right, you look at this final score here,
00:50:28 if you didn't watch this game,
00:50:29 you would think it was close to the route,
00:50:30 which obviously wasn't the case.
00:50:31 But outside of that, man, a lot of this just has to do
00:50:34 with him just getting used to playing
00:50:36 with such top-tier talent like Jalen Brown.
00:50:38 - To clear up something in the chat,
00:50:40 people are trying to guess what that reference was for.
00:50:42 Yes, it was used in Frozen,
00:50:44 but it actually was originally in Arrested Development.
00:50:46 Frozen grabbed maybe two or three little
00:50:49 Arrested Development dags made references in the movie.
00:50:52 - What reference, what is this?
00:50:53 - That long?
00:50:54 - Finish each other's sandwiches.
00:50:56 - Oh, the one we made, gotcha.
00:50:57 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:50:59 Josue, we got 100,000 rupees twice tonight.
00:51:02 Did you know that?
00:51:03 - No.
00:51:04 - Yeah, we did.
00:51:05 - That's what's up.
00:51:06 - This is mine and Jimmy's last show.
00:51:08 We were the ones here.
00:51:11 - Shout out to India, word.
00:51:13 - Hard work pays off, Josue.
00:51:15 - Oh man, guys, this was a blast, man.
00:51:17 Like we had, in the last three years, no.
00:51:19 - I'm eating chicken tiki masala for the rest of my life.
00:51:22 (laughing)
00:51:24 I'm rolling.
00:51:25 - No, that's what's up.
00:51:26 No, guys, we appreciate the support.
00:51:28 Man, we're global, we've been global.
00:51:30 It's amazing.
00:51:31 - Yeah.
00:51:32 - But man, this Celtics team, I mean,
00:51:34 from what we saw a couple of nights ago,
00:51:36 and man, we said this going into this game, right?
00:51:39 John and I were like, they're gonna win.
00:51:41 You know, we weren't all that concerned.
00:51:42 I wasn't quite sure it would look like this,
00:51:44 but this is the type of game that they're gonna,
00:51:49 you know, you're gonna bounce back from those losses.
00:51:53 And I think this is a team that's gonna pick each other up
00:51:55 when the other one's down.
00:51:56 Chris Staff talking about that as well with Drew Holliday.
00:51:58 He's like, look, Julian had the best game.
00:52:00 You know, we all know it's him playing
00:52:02 against his former team.
00:52:03 So he felt like that had a little bit to do
00:52:05 with everyone just a little more dialed in,
00:52:07 a little more focused tonight.
00:52:08 - Yep.
00:52:09 It was good.
00:52:10 And the threes felt.
00:52:12 - How about that?
00:52:13 - Yeah, doesn't that help?
00:52:14 - It does.
00:52:15 I mean, you wanna see what this team looks like
00:52:17 when they're not following,
00:52:18 but when you look at the way this team executed on offense,
00:52:22 the Bucks just don't have the personnel
00:52:24 to defend the three point arc.
00:52:26 How many open corner threes did we see tonight?
00:52:28 You know, like that's what this team does.
00:52:31 And they knew exactly what they were doing
00:52:33 against this Bucks team when it comes to how they defend,
00:52:37 especially in transition and defending the three point arc.
00:52:40 There's a whole lot of space,
00:52:41 a whole lot of ground to cover.
00:52:42 And this Bucks team just didn't have it, you know,
00:52:45 on defense.
00:52:46 They never found a momentum where you got the sense that,
00:52:49 you know, they will come back at least,
00:52:51 not until the last three minutes of the game.
00:52:53 - Josue, when you think about like previous seasons
00:52:56 being at the games,
00:52:57 did it feel like the Bucks just kind of came out flat
00:52:59 or did they just not have the same defensive,
00:53:03 like level that they can get to
00:53:05 that they've had in previous seasons?
00:53:07 - I think it was a little bit of both.
00:53:09 You credit the Celtics for their energy
00:53:10 just right out of the gate, you know,
00:53:12 treating this thing like it's a game seven, you know,
00:53:13 matchup and the Bucks,
00:53:15 they swung back before the end of that first quarter.
00:53:17 But outside of that,
00:53:18 you just never got the sense that they were locked in
00:53:21 and gonna steal the momentum.
00:53:23 And a lot of that has to do with the way they play
00:53:25 the two minute game between Giannis and Dame.
00:53:29 I mean, it changes a lot of who they were, you know,
00:53:33 identity wise, right?
00:53:34 But they sort of have to, because they don't, again,
00:53:36 they don't have a whole lot of offensive weapons
00:53:39 outside of those guys and Brooke Lopez.
00:53:41 And, you know, these guys, their second unit,
00:53:45 guys like Payne and, you know, Connington.
00:53:49 I mean, there's just, you're wondering
00:53:52 how they're gonna be able to even revert
00:53:54 to that defensive minded team that they were
00:53:57 when you look at this roster outside of their big three.
00:54:00 - What do you guys think of Middleton?
00:54:04 - Oh my God, did somebody pour concrete in his shoes,
00:54:06 like as a joke before the game or something?
00:54:08 - It's just minimized to a role player.
00:54:11 - That dude can't move.
00:54:12 Bobby might be able to-
00:54:15 - He doesn't look like the same guy, huh?
00:54:16 - No, he doesn't.
00:54:18 - He can still shoot probably, but he can't,
00:54:20 he's almost not a liability.
00:54:21 He's just not the same guy.
00:54:23 - But even that shot, Jimmy.
00:54:25 - I think that's why you got Dame.
00:54:27 - It's like a delay to it now.
00:54:29 Remember how that shot used to be,
00:54:31 especially in this building.
00:54:32 You would light up the Celtics in this building.
00:54:34 - I've never seen him miss.
00:54:35 - The guy shot over 60% in an entire series
00:54:39 against the Celtics, you know?
00:54:40 - He used to be a Celtics killer.
00:54:43 - Oh yeah, especially in this building.
00:54:44 He loved TD Garden.
00:54:45 Now, not so much.
00:54:46 - Yeah, does Bobby not know how many pies
00:54:49 I have left to make?
00:54:50 He's got to get on this show.
00:54:50 We're at the 55 minute mark here.
00:54:52 - He's really looking forward to that segment.
00:54:54 - Nonsense, man.
00:54:55 - Oh my God.
00:54:57 - He's just out tweeting.
00:54:59 - Yeah, I mean, you had a couple senior moments
00:55:01 between Dame not able to get the ball over the rim
00:55:03 on a dunk at the end and Middleton.
00:55:08 You know, I don't know.
00:55:09 - No, that's a Derek White effect, man.
00:55:11 Derek White was breathing down his neck.
00:55:13 You're talking about the last layup, the one he missed?
00:55:15 - Yeah, I mean, right.
00:55:16 - Yeah.
00:55:17 It's the pressure.
00:55:19 It's the pressure, guys, you know?
00:55:21 - Yeah.
00:55:22 - That backcourt between Drew and White,
00:55:26 even if White isn't, or excuse me,
00:55:29 even if Holiday didn't have it offensively,
00:55:31 that effort's always gonna be there on the other end, right?
00:55:33 And you can switch this team to death on offense
00:55:36 and it doesn't matter.
00:55:37 I mean, most of the time, what they would like
00:55:39 is like a Drew versus Giannis thing,
00:55:41 but that's great for the Celtics, right?
00:55:43 You know, between Drew and White defending the pick and roll,
00:55:47 that's pretty much led to this five game winning streak
00:55:51 that this Bucs team was on heading into this game
00:55:53 between Giannis and Dame.
00:55:56 - Yes, sir.
00:55:59 - Looks like Jaden Brown's talking right now.
00:56:03 - And the Bucs loved double teaming either Brown or Tatum
00:56:06 when they were on the drive.
00:56:07 And both of those guys just had the IQ
00:56:10 to find the open guy, you know,
00:56:11 or at least make the pass that led to an open three
00:56:14 or open shot or an open look.
00:56:16 And the one play in particular that stood out to me
00:56:18 was Jalen on the fast break.
00:56:20 And it was almost like he was this close
00:56:22 to going into what he always does, right?
00:56:24 So he's a double team, oh, I can split those guys.
00:56:25 And he stopped, turned, saw Tatum, gave it to Tatum.
00:56:29 Tatum wasn't necessarily wide open,
00:56:30 but Tatum gave the-- - Over to White.
00:56:32 - Exactly.
00:56:33 Hockey assist from Jalen that started it.
00:56:35 Like that was what was missing in a big way in Scarlet.
00:56:39 - That was my favorite play.
00:56:41 Like I tweeted about it.
00:56:42 That was my favorite play of the game
00:56:44 because it was obviously like selfless,
00:56:48 but it was just, it was patient and it felt like a plan.
00:56:51 And I don't want this to be totally derogatory
00:56:54 when it comes to Jalen,
00:56:55 but sometimes you don't feel like there's a plan.
00:56:57 It's just, I'm Jalen Brown.
00:56:59 I can get where I wanna go.
00:57:00 I'm just gonna go and figure it out as I get there
00:57:03 because I'm athletic and I'm quick
00:57:05 and I can get up and over you sometimes and hit tough shots.
00:57:08 So sometimes it feels like there's not a plan.
00:57:10 That play was, it was just a little rope-a-dope.
00:57:14 He goes in there and he kind of waits
00:57:16 and he gets to the elbow
00:57:17 and he sees the defense suck in a little bit
00:57:19 and he gives it to Tatum who kicks it right to White.
00:57:21 I love that play.
00:57:22 - And the Bucks can't help themselves.
00:57:24 Like they have to double, they have to.
00:57:26 And there's always gonna be that open guy.
00:57:28 Look, the Bucks are gonna make adjustments.
00:57:29 Again, the reason why I expected some of us
00:57:31 to go out there and beat them,
00:57:33 the way we were talking about two nights ago
00:57:35 is because I just feel like the Southerners
00:57:36 are just so far ahead of the Bucks.
00:57:38 And I'm not saying that's gonna be the case all season long,
00:57:40 but it's been the case for a lot of these top tier teams
00:57:43 where the Southerners have just found that continuity,
00:57:45 especially within that starting five
00:57:47 where it's not even close.
00:57:48 Like they're easily the most talented starting five
00:57:51 in the NBA, but they're also starting to evolve, right?
00:57:54 They're starting to grow as a collective unit.
00:57:59 And I think that the Bucks,
00:58:00 they have a lot of work to do.
00:58:01 And obviously, the five game win streak,
00:58:03 this is the best stretch of basketball
00:58:05 they played all season long,
00:58:06 but they ran into a Southeast team
00:58:07 that really wanted this win, desperately needed this win.
00:58:10 Maybe they didn't need it,
00:58:11 but they had that mindset because of the way they lost games
00:58:14 coming into this one.
00:58:15 And because they, like Zingas said,
00:58:17 it was important for Drew.
00:58:18 I mean, it was important for them because of Drew Holly
00:58:21 playing against his former team.
00:58:22 - Yeah, I don't even know if the Bucks have enough.
00:58:27 I don't know if they have enough.
00:58:28 They got 28 points from Brooke Lopez tonight.
00:58:31 Like that doesn't happen.
00:58:32 - Right, he played, he was incredible.
00:58:34 - Yeah, he was great.
00:58:35 And if you're not getting that production out of him,
00:58:37 I just don't think they have enough horses
00:58:39 in the stable right now.
00:58:40 Yeah, you got Giannis and Lillard,
00:58:42 but if Middleton is just a shell,
00:58:44 you got nobody after that.
00:58:47 You don't really have anybody
00:58:48 that anyone's worried about at all.
00:58:50 - That's the difference, right?
00:58:51 - Or it is.
00:58:52 The Celtics have six, you know,
00:58:54 five, six guys that really can put the works on you.
00:58:58 Obviously, Horvath's not like, you know,
00:59:00 won't option one anymore.
00:59:02 - Right, yeah, but Jimmy, you know, right, exactly.
00:59:04 - Yeah, ask Bobby Portis if Portis is not option one.
00:59:07 He's still spinning around in circles
00:59:08 from what Horvath did to him earlier.
00:59:10 But point is, I just don't know if the Bucks have enough.
00:59:14 It happens, you know, obviously you age out
00:59:17 and you lose some talent
00:59:19 and that's kind of where they're at right now.
00:59:21 They don't really scare me the way they have in past years.
00:59:24 Obviously, Giannis and Lillard are, you know,
00:59:28 arguably the best combo in the game,
00:59:30 but I don't know if they've got
00:59:33 enough pieces behind those guys.
00:59:35 - I just think there's a significant drop off
00:59:36 after their top three.
00:59:38 Like, I'll say-
00:59:38 - After their top two.
00:59:39 - After their top, well, okay, yeah, you can say that.
00:59:42 Well, I mean, I'll even put,
00:59:43 I'll even give Brooke that, you know,
00:59:45 benefit of the doubt, saying,
00:59:46 okay, look, that's your top three.
00:59:48 And the drop off between the Celtics and Bucks
00:59:51 for that fourth best player,
00:59:52 I think is where the Bucks are in trouble, you know?
00:59:55 They have to sort of,
00:59:57 they have to sort of find some piece
00:59:59 that's gonna emerge as a threat to be the fourth guy,
01:00:04 you know, to Chris Middleton,
01:00:05 because it's, again, that significant drop off in talent,
01:00:09 I just think the Celtics are just a mile ahead of them.
01:00:12 - Couple of Jalen quotes coming out right now.
01:00:14 - Like this one?
01:00:16 - Yeah.
01:00:17 (laughing)
01:00:18 Yeah.
01:00:19 Yeah, I was gonna read that.
01:00:20 - I hope that one's-
01:00:21 - I didn't really wanna read it.
01:00:22 - I hope that's good.
01:00:23 - Yeah.
01:00:24 - I hope that's verbatim.
01:00:26 - I don't know if you could get there,
01:00:28 but I'm gonna throw this over the rim,
01:00:29 and you know, the rest is up to God.
01:00:32 - No, let me tell you something, man.
01:00:33 Luke Cornett lost his, you know what, man.
01:00:36 Like he flipped.
01:00:37 He was like, "Sam, I can't believe it."
01:00:39 - A lot of arms and legs.
01:00:41 - Oh, man.
01:00:42 Just flailing, like, couldn't contain himself.
01:00:45 - Okay, I'm putting it up there, Sam.
01:00:48 Go get it if you can, buddy.
01:00:50 - It was like he was looking at it as like,
01:00:51 "Sam can't do, oh my God."
01:00:53 Like he just lost it.
01:00:55 - Sammy?
01:00:56 - Couldn't believe it.
01:00:57 - We'll find out.
01:00:58 - We'll find out, whatever.
01:00:59 F it.
01:01:01 - Did you see Sam after he did it to you?
01:01:02 He put his arms up like he won a fight.
01:01:03 He's just like, "Yeah."
01:01:04 - Yeah, he was so fired up.
01:01:06 - You see that?
01:01:07 - Even Sam didn't know he could do that.
01:01:08 - Woody Harrelson at the end of the pickup,
01:01:10 you know, like, "He got it.
01:01:12 "Finally got it."
01:01:13 Wesley throws it up to him.
01:01:15 - There's another one.
01:01:18 Jalen Brown on the chemistry with Porzingis.
01:01:21 "I don't know what it is.
01:01:22 "It's just an automatic connection right now."
01:01:26 These guys might be in love.
01:01:27 It's like that running mate best friend
01:01:31 I always wish I had, but never did.
01:01:33 - Yeah.
01:01:35 - They sit next to each other on the planes.
01:01:37 - Love at first sight, man.
01:01:39 Love at first alley-oop.
01:01:43 - Yeah.
01:01:43 And this is true.
01:01:46 That was as low as an alley as you could throw.
01:01:48 He's like, "I'm gonna put this thing right at the rim."
01:01:52 - The first ever bounce pass alley-oop.
01:01:53 - This is like when me and my buddies
01:01:54 used to try to dunk, you know?
01:01:56 Like, you're gonna have to lob it right at the rim.
01:01:59 You know, like right--
01:02:00 - Yeah, you spend 10 minutes, it's gotta be right there.
01:02:02 - I mean, it's gotta be right over it.
01:02:04 - Right there, right there.
01:02:05 (laughing)
01:02:07 - No, no, the best is when you can't get it
01:02:09 and you're like, "Well, you're not throwing it right."
01:02:11 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:02:12 - Right.
01:02:13 That was a lot of that.
01:02:15 - As you can imagine, I was the guy throwing it up.
01:02:17 (laughing)
01:02:18 - Yeah, I had to like,
01:02:20 Josue, I was smart.
01:02:22 I knew at a young age I wasn't dunking on a 10-foot hoop.
01:02:25 So we bought the adjustable hoop.
01:02:26 - Oh yeah, we did that sometimes.
01:02:27 - You stuck the pole up there
01:02:29 and you gotta like wiggle it around
01:02:30 and it drops the rim down and then you just--
01:02:32 - Yeah, oh man.
01:02:33 - Just go ham on it.
01:02:33 - The best is if you get someone on a fake.
01:02:35 - Yeah, we were alley-ooping on--
01:02:36 - Dunk right on them.
01:02:37 Dunk right on their neck.
01:02:38 - No, I relied on those tosses, Josue.
01:02:40 That's the only way it was working for me.
01:02:42 (laughing)
01:02:43 Unless it was a girls' ball or a volleyball
01:02:45 or something like that.
01:02:47 - Oh, volleyball was big, yeah, 'cause--
01:02:48 - Oh my God, I could rip volleyball through, you know?
01:02:51 - Like after gym class, grab a volleyball real quick,
01:02:54 do a couple of lobs, yeah, we used to do that.
01:02:55 - With authority, with authority, I miss that.
01:02:57 - Yeah, you ain't getting up now.
01:02:59 - Oh my God, I can't even like,
01:03:01 if a ball gets stuck in a new net,
01:03:03 I can barely poke it through, you know?
01:03:04 - But, John, what was that year, I think it was 2019,
01:03:08 we did a little like 21 or whatever we were doing out there
01:03:11 'cause someone left the basketball by mistake
01:03:13 out on the court and of course we were like little kids
01:03:14 when we saw it.
01:03:15 You grabbed the rim, I don't wanna say you gripped it,
01:03:18 but I was impressed. - In dress shoes.
01:03:20 - In dress shoes.
01:03:21 - That's the impressive part.
01:03:24 - Once upon a time, once upon a time.
01:03:26 It's amazing when your legs go, holy crap, do they go.
01:03:30 Hey, rupees!
01:03:32 - We got more?
01:03:34 - Yeah. - We got more?
01:03:36 All right, we'll give those to Joe Sway.
01:03:37 - Oh man, appreciate you.
01:03:39 - Poor Bobby, he's the only one who doesn't get
01:03:40 the retirement. - That's okay,
01:03:41 Bobby's gotta put more time in, you know,
01:03:43 he's a young buck.
01:03:44 - Yeah, he'll have some good stuff on too.
01:03:46 - He's got plenty of rupees in his future.
01:03:50 - Let's see if we can, Amit was telling me.
01:03:52 - Damn, Kevin, you might be able to do,
01:03:55 Kevin's rolling over there in India, man.
01:03:57 Rolling in the rupees.
01:04:02 - Yeah. - That's actually good.
01:04:03 That could be a good song, Bollywood.
01:04:06 - Yeah, I'm stalling a little bit.
01:04:09 - Yeah, what do you got?
01:04:11 I feel like you wanna tease something.
01:04:13 - How tall am I?
01:04:14 I think I'm shrinking.
01:04:15 Think I'm shrinking. - Let's cut off
01:04:18 this topic immediately.
01:04:20 (laughing)
01:04:22 - I'm shrinking.
01:04:22 How tall are we, Jimmy?
01:04:26 - But that was about four years ago, man.
01:04:27 That's not bad. - That was not bad.
01:04:28 - I know, someone-- - It might have been 2020.
01:04:30 - Might have been called six feet.
01:04:31 I think I'm actually closer to 5'11" now,
01:04:34 but you know. - Me too.
01:04:37 I'm closer to 5'11".
01:04:38 (laughing)
01:04:41 - Let me see if we have this here.
01:04:42 Jalen with a really good soundbite,
01:04:46 which Amit's gonna tell me what it is
01:04:47 so I can lead into it, and then Bobby's gonna come here.
01:04:49 - It's probably the soundbite that we already ripped.
01:04:52 - It could be about the Hauser.
01:04:53 Is it about Hauser?
01:04:54 - Is it about the Hauser?
01:04:55 It could be about Porzingis.
01:04:56 - Oh, Joe Mazzullo.
01:04:57 - This is just--
01:04:58 Go ahead. - Someone asked Mazzullo
01:05:01 when you went to bed last night,
01:05:02 did he think that, or when you woke up, rather,
01:05:04 this morning, did he think that you would see an alley-oop
01:05:06 from Jalen Brown to Sam Hauser?
01:05:09 So he goes on and on about how Sam has that in his bag,
01:05:12 he's been great in the transition,
01:05:13 and then at the end he goes,
01:05:14 "But to answer your question,
01:05:15 "no, I did not think I'd see that tonight."
01:05:17 So he was impressed as well, man.
01:05:19 - I am told--
01:05:20 - Are they home on Friday?
01:05:22 - No, in Orlando. - No.
01:05:24 No, two o'clock start to--
01:05:25 - 2.30, yeah.
01:05:26 - Yeah, I don't know if it'll be 30.
01:05:28 - My sources tell me Jalen Brown actually smiles
01:05:31 in this post-game soundbite, take a listen.
01:05:33 - Jalen, you seem to be seeing the floor really well tonight.
01:05:39 What were you seeing out there
01:05:40 that kinda led to some of the passes you were making?
01:05:43 - Just being aggressive, getting to the paint.
01:05:46 You know, it's a team that likes to overhelp at the rim,
01:05:49 so some pretty easy reads on them all.
01:05:52 - What possessed you to throw an alley-oop to Sam Hauser?
01:05:57 - I looked at him, he looked at me.
01:06:00 That was all the confirmation I needed.
01:06:02 We locked eyes, and I said, "(beep)."
01:06:05 (audience laughing)
01:06:08 He looked at me like he was ready,
01:06:11 so I threw it to him, and he followed through,
01:06:14 so shout-out to Sam.
01:06:18 (laughing)
01:06:19 - That's a good one.
01:06:20 - That's exactly how I envisioned him saying it.
01:06:21 - Smile more.
01:06:22 - Smile all the time.
01:06:24 Jalen, pass more, smile more.
01:06:27 - Yeah, he's happier after a foul.
01:06:30 - Oh, can I represent him?
01:06:31 - I don't think he would hire you, John.
01:06:35 Way too much out there.
01:06:37 - Wait a minute, Jimmy.
01:06:39 This dude was a Donna Sports guy for a little bit.
01:06:42 I don't know, maybe John's got a shot.
01:06:44 - I might have a shot.
01:06:45 - Yeah, John might have a shot.
01:06:46 - All right, let's bring in Bobby.
01:06:48 What's going on, Bobby?
01:06:49 - We like this guy's smile, too.
01:06:51 There he is.
01:06:51 - Yeah.
01:06:52 - Yeah.
01:06:54 - Big win tonight.
01:06:56 John predicted it.
01:06:58 They sort of ran away with this one,
01:06:59 and you get some gripes at the end there
01:07:01 about how it slipped up, and other than that,
01:07:04 you look pretty good in this matchup,
01:07:06 and I was just over on the Bucs' side,
01:07:08 and what was pretty evident to me throughout this game,
01:07:11 the fact that the Celtics are a little further ahead
01:07:12 in this process of figuring out their new team,
01:07:15 the Bucs sort of agreed with, too.
01:07:17 Lillard and Giannis both talked about how
01:07:19 you can see how committed they are to the past,
01:07:21 that they have buy-in,
01:07:23 that everybody's believing and empowering each other,
01:07:26 which was the story of this game on the Celtics' side,
01:07:28 where there's a lot of clunkiness on that Bucs' side,
01:07:32 and they rallied late, last three, four minutes there.
01:07:35 They stormed back, hit a bunch of threes,
01:07:37 but these are two teams in different places
01:07:41 in terms of their acclimation to this new team,
01:07:45 and the Celtics look much further ahead to me.
01:07:49 There's still some weaknesses.
01:07:50 The rebounding has really slipped up.
01:07:52 The defense wavered at times late.
01:07:56 Joe talked about how they're giving up
01:07:58 threes too early in the shot clock
01:08:00 after they build these big leads late,
01:08:01 which has led to some of the slippage
01:08:03 the last few games here, and other than that,
01:08:05 I think you're pretty happy with this one.
01:08:07 Everybody was mostly involved.
01:08:08 Holiday had another weird one,
01:08:10 but the bench was great for the fifth or sixth game
01:08:12 in a row, which is awesome,
01:08:15 and Tatum and Brown played off each other
01:08:18 pretty well tonight too, I thought.
01:08:20 (laughing)
01:08:21 - I'm getting requests to Tangway Bobby already.
01:08:25 No, Bobby, great win, great win.
01:08:27 We spent a lot of time on Jalen,
01:08:29 and I'm gonna go back to it, no joke.
01:08:31 I mean, that's the best sound bite he's ever had.
01:08:34 - I didn't catch it, what'd he say?
01:08:37 - Oh my God, let's play it one more time.
01:08:37 - Where the heck have you been?
01:08:39 - Huh?
01:08:40 - I told you, I was on the Bucs' side.
01:08:41 This is the best, we're playing it again, here we go.
01:08:43 - He literally just told us.
01:08:45 - Jalen, you seem to be seeing the floor
01:08:47 really well tonight.
01:08:48 What were you seeing out there
01:08:49 that kind of led to some of the passes you were making?
01:08:53 - Just being aggressive, getting to the paint.
01:08:55 You know, it's a team that likes to overhelp at the rim,
01:08:58 so some pretty easy reads on them.
01:09:01 - What possessed you to throw an alley-oop to Sam Hauser?
01:09:06 - I looked at him, he looked at me.
01:09:09 That was all the confirmation I needed.
01:09:11 We locked eyes, and I said, "(beep)."
01:09:15 (laughing)
01:09:18 He looked at me like he was ready,
01:09:20 so I threw it to him, and he followed through,
01:09:23 so shout out to Sam.
01:09:25 - Shout out to Sam.
01:09:28 - Shout out to Sam.
01:09:28 (laughing)
01:09:29 - It's so good.
01:09:31 - Sam scored 10 points again.
01:09:33 He's gonna average 10 points again this season.
01:09:35 I'll take the L on the holiday prediction, John.
01:09:38 You're gonna have to take the L on the Hauser one.
01:09:40 He's here to stay.
01:09:42 - He might be, good for him.
01:09:44 - He looks awesome, so confident,
01:09:47 so assertive to do that.
01:09:49 Joe said after the game,
01:09:52 Sam does a lot of things people can't believe
01:09:56 he's capable of doing.
01:09:57 That certainly was on my list.
01:10:00 - That was awesome, that was great.
01:10:02 That's the moment, the Luke celebration,
01:10:05 that JB quote, that's like, yeah.
01:10:08 - Tatum's going pretty wild, too.
01:10:11 - Yeah, that's great.
01:10:12 Can Tatum and Brown be happy on the same night?
01:10:15 - No, Tatum's sick tonight.
01:10:18 - Is it possible, or was he sick?
01:10:20 - It's a new day, of course.
01:10:23 - Yeah.
01:10:27 - What happened in the Bucks locker room, Bob?
01:10:29 - I gotta, did you put the Dane bite in here?
01:10:31 Is it any good?
01:10:32 - He was a little salty.
01:10:35 - You want it, should I play it?
01:10:37 - I'll plug it, go ahead.
01:10:38 - Salty Dame, here we go.
01:10:39 I like this, we like salty Bucks.
01:10:41 - We like salt.
01:10:42 - We knew neither one of us was gonna
01:10:45 win the championship tonight.
01:10:47 I think the thing that made it a high level game
01:10:51 was they're the first team here, we're the second.
01:10:54 The winner walks away number one right now,
01:10:57 which means nothing.
01:10:59 A lot of high level players on their team,
01:11:02 a lot of high level players on ours,
01:11:04 and you're just embracing the competition.
01:11:05 That makes it a high level game.
01:11:08 High energy basketball environment.
01:11:11 That makes for a high level game,
01:11:14 but I didn't get traded from Boston.
01:11:16 I know I was in a mix of it, but I wasn't involved.
01:11:21 - Yeah, because you forced your way to Miami,
01:11:26 that's why you weren't involved.
01:11:27 - Way to describe that.
01:11:29 - First of all.
01:11:30 - A lot of salt in there.
01:11:31 - Yeah, there's a lot of salt.
01:11:32 First of all, you're in a four way tie for fifth,
01:11:34 or second, however you wanna look at it,
01:11:36 with four teams at 10 and five.
01:11:38 Second, if you won tonight,
01:11:39 you also weren't gonna be the number one seed,
01:11:41 but that doesn't really matter.
01:11:42 What did you think of the Bucs,
01:11:44 the new Bucs, Bobby, with Dame?
01:11:47 You fear them more, less, or the same?
01:11:51 - Less.
01:11:52 They don't look that good.
01:11:54 - Thank you, that's what I said.
01:11:56 - And I feel similar, I said this to Gasper
01:11:58 when I was talking to him,
01:11:59 and it reminds me of the Harden and Bede thing.
01:12:03 They come together, I compared it
01:12:05 to potentially Shaq, Kobe-esque, that pick and roll,
01:12:08 and instead they just sort of started playing
01:12:10 one and one out of screens,
01:12:11 instead of running a pick and roll.
01:12:12 And that's sort of what Giannis and Dame are doing.
01:12:15 I thought that whole 10-nothing start,
01:12:16 they were just trying to go at guys.
01:12:18 You know how the Celtics attack these mismatches,
01:12:20 they're going at guys like Payne,
01:12:24 or whoever's on that other side,
01:12:25 that's kind of a mismatch.
01:12:26 They were doing that against Holiday,
01:12:27 and Wyatt, and the likes,
01:12:29 and that's not a great way to play
01:12:32 that individual offense out there.
01:12:33 And they started swinging passes around
01:12:35 a little bit later in the game.
01:12:36 I do feel like they missed some really easy shots
01:12:38 throughout the flow of this game, too,
01:12:40 that could have changed things.
01:12:41 When it was like eight-ish in the second half there,
01:12:43 they missed two layups in a row
01:12:45 after that bad Tatum and Brown miss inside.
01:12:48 I think Giannis and, I want to say Lopez,
01:12:50 missed some skimmy layups the other way
01:12:52 that would have made it four.
01:12:54 So the Celtics did get fortunate in that sense,
01:12:56 but they don't impress me that much, John.
01:12:59 And it's early, but you see some of the guys
01:13:01 in their rotation, like Beauchamp,
01:13:03 I have high hopes for him,
01:13:04 but he didn't play great tonight.
01:13:06 Andre Jackson's a guy I really loved
01:13:08 who I wanted the Celtics to draft,
01:13:09 who brought some great energy to this game.
01:13:11 That's a rookie who was picked in the 50s, I believe.
01:13:14 So they go on down the line.
01:13:17 Connachton's good, but a more offensively oriented player.
01:13:20 - But it's not that, it's not the bench, Bobby.
01:13:23 Jimmy mentioned it.
01:13:24 That's the, it's right there.
01:13:26 It's the, you're only missing Jay Crowder tonight.
01:13:29 The issue with Milwaukee is the drop from-
01:13:34 - No horses.
01:13:35 - If Middleton is now like just a guy,
01:13:39 the drop from two to three or two to four.
01:13:42 - Middleton invisible tonight.
01:13:44 - The drop is huge.
01:13:46 So the problem, the Celtics, what are we worried about?
01:13:49 How are they going to be seven, eight, nine?
01:13:51 Right now they're playing great in that side,
01:13:54 at least from seven and eight.
01:13:56 And they're probably going to make another deal
01:13:57 at some point and kind of shore that up
01:13:59 and get a guy to fit into that spot.
01:14:01 But the box drop is at the higher end.
01:14:04 So they lack overall depth,
01:14:06 but they also just don't have like the same wide array.
01:14:10 Like they just don't have the same upper level talent
01:14:13 that the Celtics have.
01:14:14 And that's going to be a problem,
01:14:16 especially if Middleton is like not just back nine,
01:14:19 but like hitting his fourth shot out of the rough
01:14:24 on a par four on the 18th.
01:14:26 You know, like, you know, he's going to triple
01:14:29 and go have a beer.
01:14:29 Like he might be done done right.
01:14:30 - That's scary.
01:14:32 That's scary to hear that.
01:14:34 (laughs)
01:14:35 - Yeah, no, it is.
01:14:36 It really is because, you know,
01:14:38 well, I said this before you hopped on, Bobby.
01:14:41 I think everyone knew going into the season,
01:14:43 he wasn't going to be that, you know,
01:14:45 third best player on this team,
01:14:46 but to see how he's dropped off
01:14:47 and he's sort of needed to be that fourth guy.
01:14:51 And I think that's the biggest difference
01:14:53 when you look at where these teams both are.
01:14:55 And, you know, like I said earlier,
01:14:56 the Celtics have obviously found that there's stride here
01:15:01 throughout this first, what, 12, 13, 14 games of the season.
01:15:04 And the Bucks is just way behind right now.
01:15:06 And again, I don't know if that'll be the case
01:15:08 all season long, but it's certainly the case right now.
01:15:12 And I don't think it's close.
01:15:14 - Louis also complained about free throws
01:15:16 and said White and Holiday really didn't give him
01:15:18 that hard of a time.
01:15:19 So that was the tenor in the locker room.
01:15:21 Giannis wasn't happy either.
01:15:23 - Yeah, we're going to get a Giannis bite in here too.
01:15:25 - Yeah, Salty Giannis is up next.
01:15:27 - Roland, I mean, yes and no,
01:15:30 the Celtics are incorporating, you know,
01:15:33 two completely new players into their rotation.
01:15:35 - And it happened seamlessly.
01:15:36 - And it happened pretty seamlessly.
01:15:37 So again, you're just putting one guy in here.
01:15:41 It's not like the rest of them don't know each other.
01:15:44 The core here is intact.
01:15:45 - But are they committed?
01:15:45 You know, the two things they said is
01:15:47 the Celtics are really committed to passing.
01:15:49 They bought into that.
01:15:51 They want to do that to win.
01:15:53 And I find it interesting that the two stars
01:15:55 on the Milwaukee side said that,
01:15:57 because is that them implying that the Bucs
01:16:00 need to commit to that the same way?
01:16:02 I mean, what was their assisted turnover?
01:16:03 Assisted basket, 23 to 45.
01:16:07 - Yeah.
01:16:08 - It's not a great ratio.
01:16:08 - You know what the problem is, Bobby?
01:16:10 You know what they needed?
01:16:11 They need Drew Holiday.
01:16:13 It's like, that's exactly what they're missing.
01:16:15 Like someone to just connect the dots.
01:16:18 - And you know, being around them a little bit today,
01:16:19 I was surprised not a single person on that side said,
01:16:21 "Ugh, we didn't love seeing him land in Boston."
01:16:25 - And also like the whole incorporating Lillard
01:16:29 into the team, it's Lillard and Giannis.
01:16:32 Like that's the team.
01:16:33 And then you have a center in Brooke who is-
01:16:35 - Brooke was awesome.
01:16:36 - Well, he was great tonight.
01:16:37 And then one thing I said, Bobby,
01:16:38 was he gave you 28 tonight.
01:16:40 I mean, that's not even close to typical.
01:16:42 If he gives you his normal offensive output,
01:16:44 this is a blowout.
01:16:45 And it was a blowout for, you know, half the game.
01:16:48 And you know, it was still a double digit game
01:16:51 for majority of this game.
01:16:53 But you really got more from Lopez
01:16:55 than you can count on regularly.
01:16:56 And if Middleton is just a guy who's gonna,
01:16:59 even if he gives you 15,
01:17:01 I just don't see the depth on this team
01:17:04 like the Celtics have.
01:17:05 I just don't know how they would be able to contend.
01:17:08 - No.
01:17:09 I don't see it either, but it's early.
01:17:12 You know, maybe they figure something out.
01:17:13 Maybe they make a move.
01:17:14 They really don't have the pieces to make a move.
01:17:15 That's the other thing here.
01:17:17 They don't have picks or prospects even.
01:17:19 This is it.
01:17:21 This is kind of what you get over there.
01:17:23 - Yeah, I mean, Lillard's gonna be Lillard.
01:17:25 Giannis is gonna be Giannis.
01:17:27 That's your team.
01:17:28 There's not really a whole lot of,
01:17:29 what do they got to like,
01:17:30 figure out a way to get like how Connerton
01:17:32 and Lillard are gonna work together?
01:17:34 Like, I don't think that's it.
01:17:35 - No, that's your team.
01:17:36 And I mean, Lopez is Lopez.
01:17:38 - Lopez is gonna do all the dirty work.
01:17:40 - But Middleton is, you know, that's-
01:17:43 - It's Giannis and Lillard.
01:17:44 - That's the linchpin there.
01:17:45 If Middleton's done or like, you know,
01:17:49 just not even close.
01:17:50 If Middleton's a shell, you know,
01:17:53 then it's gonna be tough for them.
01:17:55 It really is.
01:17:56 I think it is.
01:17:57 - We talked about the coach.
01:17:58 We talked about the coach a little bit yesterday too.
01:18:01 - He's a, yeah.
01:18:03 - Maybe it's not on him,
01:18:04 but I don't feel like he's helping a ton.
01:18:07 In fact, there was a point in the third quarter,
01:18:09 I don't know if you guys caught on the broadcast.
01:18:10 - Yeah, I was gonna say, let's get into this.
01:18:13 - What happened?
01:18:15 - So, they were sort of going back and forth
01:18:18 and I felt like it was because-
01:18:18 - Who's day I missed that with Giannis.
01:18:21 - Giannis and-
01:18:22 - Giannis and Adrian Griffin, head coach Adrian Griffin.
01:18:25 It looked like he didn't want to get out of the game.
01:18:28 Right when they called a timeout
01:18:30 because they were gonna challenge a play,
01:18:32 it was like a back and forth.
01:18:33 It seemed like he was sort of on the outside,
01:18:35 you know, when they're huddled around
01:18:36 and the guys were sitting down or sitting.
01:18:37 And I got the sense that he's probably
01:18:39 not gonna check back in
01:18:40 since he wasn't one of the guys sitting down
01:18:42 and he was kind of on the outside
01:18:43 and Griffin kind of gave, put like an arm around him
01:18:45 and like, get in here with us.
01:18:47 And Giannis did and then after that,
01:18:48 he ended up checking back into the game.
01:18:50 But before that back and forth,
01:18:52 he was getting ready to pull them.
01:18:53 It looked like Giannis didn't like that very much.
01:18:55 So there was a little back and forth there.
01:18:57 - Yeah, Giannis got asked to explain it
01:18:59 in the locker room and he said no.
01:19:00 - Yeah, man, these guys are hot.
01:19:04 - That's just it, he didn't want to get out of the game.
01:19:06 - They got a huge dose of reality, I feel like.
01:19:07 And you know, you can just tell from the way
01:19:10 Lillard's sounding in that clip right there
01:19:12 and then we're gonna hear Giannis right now in a second.
01:19:15 Yeah, man, I think they're really starting to realize
01:19:17 just again, how much of a, how like significant
01:19:20 that gap is between the Celtics and the Bucks right now.
01:19:22 - They had changed their defensive system this year too.
01:19:26 And the players didn't like it and they changed it back,
01:19:30 you know, from what I've read too.
01:19:32 So, they're having their,
01:19:35 - But before the season started, Bobby,
01:19:38 when assistant Terry Scott, what was his?
01:19:42 - Terry Scott quit.
01:19:43 - Terry Scott, excuse me, Terry Scott's a guy
01:19:46 who obviously has a lot of experience with coaching games,
01:19:49 a head coach in Portland.
01:19:51 Some disagreement or it seemed like from the article
01:19:55 in the Athletic, he was hanging around the players
01:19:58 when the coaches wanted him to come on the other end.
01:20:00 Griffin calls him over, he sort of resisted
01:20:02 and then two days later he quit, so.
01:20:04 - That was a Lillard guy, right?
01:20:06 - Yeah.
01:20:07 - All those years he was coaching him in Portland.
01:20:09 - Griffin's kind of trying to assert his authority there.
01:20:11 - But John, that's supposed to be an asset, you know?
01:20:13 - I know, but it's like, he's in a tough spot.
01:20:15 It's like, I can't say everybody come here
01:20:18 and you'd be like, nah, I'm cool.
01:20:19 I'm gonna keep doing my thing.
01:20:20 He's acting like a guy with a bit of authority.
01:20:23 I'm not taking a side on it, but.
01:20:25 - And the season hadn't even started yet.
01:20:27 - Hadn't started, I definitely see how someone
01:20:29 could feel slightly undermined by it
01:20:31 and how Stott's gonna be like, give me a frigging break, dude.
01:20:34 But it's definitely not a great start to how that went.
01:20:37 - It's not, John, especially because not only that,
01:20:40 but it happened in front of the team.
01:20:41 Like, I just think things like that matter.
01:20:43 - That'd be something deeper there, right?
01:20:45 It couldn't have been that one incident.
01:20:47 - That, Bobby, and also I just think stuff like that matters
01:20:50 when you're dealing with veterans, champion,
01:20:53 you know what I mean?
01:20:53 Like someone like Giannis,
01:20:54 who obviously has been in the league long enough
01:20:56 to be in a position to say, hey, wait a minute,
01:20:59 coach, I don't agree with that.
01:21:00 You know what I mean?
01:21:01 And then to see the way things played out
01:21:02 between an assistant and him,
01:21:05 it's gonna raise a lot of questions, right?
01:21:06 And obviously when things aren't going well,
01:21:08 that's when you'll see turmoil.
01:21:10 That's when there'll be moments of clashes
01:21:12 that could happen, you know, who knows?
01:21:14 It's a lot.
01:21:15 It's a big spot to come in and take over.
01:21:18 - It's really hard, man.
01:21:20 You got two massive superstars there
01:21:22 and a team that has a championship or bust sort of mentality
01:21:26 and it's like, okay, go, you know?
01:21:28 - Right, and then you add, you know,
01:21:33 the quotes from Giannis, you know,
01:21:35 two weeks before the Lillard trade and the trade happens
01:21:40 and essentially the organization's thinking to themselves,
01:21:42 man, if we really wanna keep this guy around,
01:21:44 he might actually leave.
01:21:45 And all that happened right before training camp,
01:21:48 along with a brand new head coach.
01:21:51 - They might not be your biggest threat, but we'll see.
01:21:53 - We'll see.
01:21:54 There's time.
01:21:55 I mean, it's again, look how, look, you know.
01:21:57 - I think Philly's a bigger threat right now.
01:22:00 - But look how different things were last year
01:22:02 in the second half too.
01:22:03 Teams kind of figure stuff out.
01:22:04 So it is, I mean, even though it was salty day,
01:22:07 and I definitely agree there, like,
01:22:09 you don't know anything about anybody right now.
01:22:13 - If they play together, John, it's a challenge.
01:22:15 'Cause I did picture Porzingis on either Lopez or Giannis
01:22:19 and then pulling them out on those screens
01:22:21 and Lillard shooting those long, long threes
01:22:23 and really playing Porzingis off the court,
01:22:25 but they never did that tonight.
01:22:26 They really didn't put the Celtics
01:22:27 into uncomfortable positions defensively.
01:22:30 Porzingis got in a little bit of foul trouble,
01:22:32 but that was more on rebounding and physicality inside.
01:22:35 I feel like, you know,
01:22:36 as much as the Celtics can spread the Bucs out,
01:22:38 the Bucs could do the same in the Boston.
01:22:40 They really didn't do a good job of doing that here.
01:22:42 So that stuff might improve as the year goes on.
01:22:45 Again, Bucs missed some easy shots in this game.
01:22:47 If you look back on even that Lillard one at the end
01:22:50 where they were trying to execute the, you know,
01:22:51 two pointer down four, just missed a dunk.
01:22:55 So I think that factors into it.
01:22:58 Celtics are better,
01:23:00 but this could have been a little bit of a closer game,
01:23:02 I think.
01:23:03 Of course, the Celtics were lethal from three too,
01:23:06 for the first time in a little bit here.
01:23:08 - Yeah, but I mean,
01:23:09 what, I forgot his name already.
01:23:12 Kevin, Kevin's making it rain again.
01:23:13 You guys see that?
01:23:14 Some more rupees.
01:23:15 - Yeah, no, it's coming through.
01:23:16 - Let's go, Kevin.
01:23:18 - Way to go, Kevin.
01:23:19 - Kevin!
01:23:19 - I mean, when it comes to the threes,
01:23:22 it always, like, I mean,
01:23:24 sometimes it's as simple as they fell.
01:23:27 And we hate those games where we're like,
01:23:29 we got good looks.
01:23:30 - Passing is good.
01:23:33 - I posted this one.
01:23:34 Do you think they went about them the right way?
01:23:36 Like, they looked like they were working for that look.
01:23:40 I will say sometimes, again,
01:23:42 when you're playing big teams, I understand it.
01:23:44 I am a little bit leery of like drive and kick
01:23:48 being the only thing that you do.
01:23:50 I do think they are passing up some shots there,
01:23:53 but I understand why.
01:23:55 - They started 10 to 10 at the rim tonight,
01:23:57 which is pretty good.
01:23:57 It did feel like they really worked
01:24:00 to get those open shots.
01:24:02 We're gonna play Salty Yannis here
01:24:05 because we've been talking about it
01:24:06 and see what he's like after a loss
01:24:08 and why he hates his coach and everybody else around him.
01:24:11 - Weird feeling to play against him, sure.
01:24:15 Very tough that he's not with the team no more,
01:24:21 but life moves on.
01:24:23 Our team will move forward.
01:24:25 - You know, when he left,
01:24:27 obviously you got a great player in the team,
01:24:28 but you know, parting with him,
01:24:30 do you kind of lose something there
01:24:32 that you have to kind of make up for
01:24:33 when a heart and soul of a team like that leaves?
01:24:36 - For sure.
01:24:39 Now, do I feel like we lose something?
01:24:43 For sure, we lose 200.
01:24:44 He's a great player,
01:24:46 played in the league for a lot of years.
01:24:49 Winner, good teammate.
01:24:51 So you definitely lose that,
01:24:52 but at the end of the day,
01:24:53 we have great players in our team now
01:24:55 that can step up and not only fill up that void
01:24:59 and kind of carry that torch and do better.
01:25:04 - Looked like you had a little bit of a disagreement
01:25:07 with AG about coming out halfway through the third.
01:25:09 Could you kind of walk me through what happened there?
01:25:11 - No.
01:25:12 - Like a bag of Frito-Lay.
01:25:17 - Jeez.
01:25:18 - I know.
01:25:21 - Can you give me some examples?
01:25:24 You would think that he would say at least one name
01:25:26 to say like, "Hey, we still got this guy,
01:25:28 we still got that," you know what I mean?
01:25:29 But he didn't even, he's like, "No, we got guys.
01:25:30 We can replace what you all have been to us."
01:25:33 - Yeah.
01:25:34 - Wow, Bobby just called him the heart and soul
01:25:36 of the team right in front of me, honest.
01:25:38 That was bold of you.
01:25:39 - He was.
01:25:40 I thought he was.
01:25:41 - Yeah.
01:25:44 - Wasn't he?
01:25:45 - Who knows?
01:25:46 Yeah, he was good.
01:25:46 Any other takeaways before we put this one to bed?
01:25:50 - On Orlando.
01:25:53 - Well said, Bobby.
01:25:53 - It's gonna be a tough game.
01:25:55 Number one in defense.
01:25:56 - They beat Denver tonight.
01:25:57 - Yeah, it's gonna be big.
01:25:58 - And then gave the Celtics fifths last year.
01:26:01 - They always do.
01:26:01 - You guys know I've been a big fan
01:26:03 of the Raptors for a long time.
01:26:05 I think I'm shifting my allegiance to the Magic here.
01:26:09 - Are you?
01:26:10 - I really like that team.
01:26:11 - Damn.
01:26:12 - Apollo, all that defense.
01:26:14 It's a 230 tip Celtics have.
01:26:15 - What about all your Toronto fans?
01:26:20 - They left us.
01:26:22 - Yeah, they're quiet now.
01:26:24 - We had the bubble and that was about it.
01:26:26 All right, we're gonna move on
01:26:27 because we've been going for a bit here.
01:26:28 It's almost Thanksgiving officially.
01:26:30 And last year I blew the roof off this place
01:26:33 when I told everybody that I don't gravy.
01:26:35 And that became a big deal.
01:26:38 - Crazy.
01:26:39 - Yeah.
01:26:40 - Forgot about that.
01:26:40 - That was a bad, that was a controversial take
01:26:42 and knocked me down a few pegs
01:26:44 in a bunch of people's eyes.
01:26:46 So I'll ask you guys,
01:26:49 what are your most controversial Thanksgiving takes?
01:26:51 - Controversial?
01:26:53 - Yes.
01:26:54 - I have one that's really gonna bother people.
01:26:57 (laughing)
01:26:59 It's gonna bother you, John, actually.
01:27:01 I'll be honest, I don't really even really
01:27:04 like Thanksgiving that much.
01:27:06 It's one of my like,
01:27:07 it doesn't even probably crack my top.
01:27:09 Doesn't crack my top three for sure.
01:27:11 - What are you, a 4th of July guy?
01:27:13 - Christmas, 4th of July.
01:27:16 - Boston Marathon.
01:27:17 - Halloween's a lot more fun than Thanksgiving,
01:27:20 but I can understand why people
01:27:21 would disagree with that take, but.
01:27:23 - But Jimmy, you can drink at the dance table.
01:27:25 - Thanksgiving's fine, it's fine.
01:27:28 I like--
01:27:28 - Jimmy loves the big drinking holidays.
01:27:30 - I like Thanksgiving, I just don't--
01:27:32 - You can drink on Thanksgiving.
01:27:33 - You know what it is?
01:27:34 - That's what I'm telling him.
01:27:35 - I love Christmas, so I'm just way more
01:27:37 of a Christmas guy.
01:27:38 - Everyone loves Christmas.
01:27:39 - I'm the other way around.
01:27:41 - I was in New York for Buttfumble, by the way.
01:27:43 I have never been in a--
01:27:44 - Were you really?
01:27:45 - I've never been in a press box
01:27:47 where everybody just exploded laughing.
01:27:49 - I was in the newsroom.
01:27:50 - I was dying for that one in New York.
01:27:54 People were like, "That didn't just happen, did it?"
01:27:58 Then it starts playing on all the monitors,
01:28:00 and I mean, everybody's just frigging dying, but anyway.
01:28:02 - Yeah, I was working at NBC that night,
01:28:05 and I remember, I think it was Rob, Robbie Bucket.
01:28:08 He just was like, he just got up from his desk
01:28:10 and just started dying laughing.
01:28:11 (laughing)
01:28:13 We were all watching, waiting for the game to go,
01:28:15 and the Buttfumble was born.
01:28:18 And when I say I don't really like Thanksgiving,
01:28:20 it's not that I don't like it,
01:28:21 I just think it's fine, I'm fine with it.
01:28:24 - Are you being a Poe-kairi at Thanksgiving?
01:28:26 - No, it's nothing to do with politics
01:28:29 about why I'm not whatever.
01:28:31 It's just like, it's fine.
01:28:32 I like the fall.
01:28:33 Thanksgiving's like the end of the fall,
01:28:35 and then we move on to Christmas,
01:28:36 and that's my, I'm a big Christmas guy.
01:28:39 Thanksgiving, there's no Thanksgiving music.
01:28:42 I think Thanksgiving food is fine.
01:28:43 - All right, musician, my bad.
01:28:46 - I think Thanksgiving food is mostly not that great.
01:28:50 I like the desserts, turkeys, whatever.
01:28:53 - I'm sure if you ask ahead of time,
01:28:54 they'll let you perform, man, if you want to, it's cool.
01:28:57 - You can write a Thanksgiving song.
01:28:59 - Yeah, you can write the first hit.
01:29:01 - They had to be running Charlie Brown, right?
01:29:04 - That's just my take.
01:29:06 And that's not, and like, John,
01:29:08 I don't wanna rain on your parade.
01:29:09 I know you're a big Thanksgiving guy.
01:29:10 - You know I'm not.
01:29:12 - Stamp Thanksgiving on this guy's forehead.
01:29:13 - John's just a big food guy.
01:29:14 - No, I'm not a Thanksgiving guy.
01:29:16 I'll tell you my thing, John.
01:29:18 I'm not a Thanksgiving guy, actually.
01:29:19 I don't even like the traditional Thanksgiving food.
01:29:22 Everyone does different things, right, like in life.
01:29:26 Some people like to garden.
01:29:29 Some people like to build stuff.
01:29:31 Some people make little videos on their phones.
01:29:33 Nick's sitting here making these goofy little Instagrams.
01:29:37 You know, like, but it all comes.
01:29:39 - I like those, Nick.
01:29:40 - Me too.
01:29:41 It all comes down to creative.
01:29:45 Like, anytime you can make something that didn't exist
01:29:48 before you make it, it brings you some sense of satisfaction.
01:29:51 I don't get it.
01:29:52 I like the idea of just cooking a bunch of stuff, you know,
01:29:55 and just people liking it and like, look, I made that.
01:29:58 You know, like. - You like the host.
01:29:59 - I just, no, but I like the idea.
01:30:01 It's fun, it's fun to make stuff.
01:30:04 - Someone said they prefer ham on Thanksgiving.
01:30:06 That's an awful thing. - I hate ham.
01:30:08 - So I like making stuff. - That's some controversial
01:30:09 taking ham. - I don't get a whole deal
01:30:11 where I can just cook stuff, you know?
01:30:12 - Ham is for, get it the hell out of my face.
01:30:15 (laughing)
01:30:16 I'm all set with ham. - Anytime you buy something
01:30:17 that's basically already cooked and there's a bag
01:30:20 of like glaze you put on it and put it in the oven,
01:30:23 did you really make something?
01:30:24 - Yeah. - No.
01:30:25 - I know, right?
01:30:26 And that's another thing too.
01:30:27 There's not even like. - It's hard to make
01:30:27 jerky on your own.
01:30:28 I mean, there's people that will like,
01:30:30 they'll put it in like the, they'll like fry it
01:30:32 and all that stuff.
01:30:33 That's kind of. - Yeah, but you never
01:30:34 hear someone be like. - What are you supposed
01:30:34 to make, oh, beef wellington?
01:30:35 - He makes the greatest ham.
01:30:37 Like you'll never hear someone say that.
01:30:38 - No, no, no, you won't, you won't.
01:30:40 But like Thanksgiving to me, it's all about the sides.
01:30:43 It's not really about the turkey.
01:30:44 John, we got. - Oh, you're a sides guy.
01:30:47 - John, John. - I might be.
01:30:48 - I'm a sides guy. - I got one too.
01:30:51 - Give me your best side.
01:30:53 What's like a side you can't go wrong with at Thanksgiving?
01:30:57 It's gotta be a Thanksgiving side.
01:30:58 Don't say like, you know, lobster roll or something.
01:31:02 (laughing)
01:31:03 - I know, no one bought me.
01:31:04 He's gonna be like rice or something.
01:31:07 - No, I do like green beans, but that's not at the top.
01:31:09 - Oh my God, trash.
01:31:11 Green beans is trash, dude. - Wow.
01:31:13 Like that's like top of your list, green beans?
01:31:15 - No, it's not the top.
01:31:16 The top is stuffing.
01:31:17 And that's actually my favorite part of the meal.
01:31:20 It's my go-to first. - That's fair.
01:31:21 - I was gonna say stuffing.
01:31:23 - Great with the, great with the gravy.
01:31:25 I don't think John liked when I said that last year,
01:31:27 but that's my favorite part. - It's the only time a year,
01:31:30 it's the only time a year that you eat it.
01:31:31 So it makes sense.
01:31:32 Like no one's like in July having like stuffing.
01:31:36 You know what I mean?
01:31:37 - I get this is my controversial take
01:31:39 'cause I feel like this is way more popular
01:31:41 than it should be, but.
01:31:42 - It's gotta be good stuffing.
01:31:43 It can't be dry, go with your stuff.
01:31:45 - The whole like mixing the turkey,
01:31:48 the stuffing and the cranberry sauce, absolutely not.
01:31:51 I'm a cranberry sauce guy, jellied only.
01:31:54 And it's on the side and I treat it like it's dessert.
01:31:58 Don't you dare put it anywhere near my gravy
01:32:00 and potatoes or my turkey.
01:32:03 Like the fact that people make sandwiches like that,
01:32:04 like why would you do that?
01:32:06 It's almost like in the South where people,
01:32:09 they put jelly in breakfast sandwiches.
01:32:11 Have you guys heard of this?
01:32:12 Like, it's like a thing.
01:32:12 - I've heard of it.
01:32:13 - Bacon, egg and cheese with some jelly.
01:32:15 Take all that sweet out of my, like, no,
01:32:19 they're separate, okay?
01:32:20 So I guess that's my controversial take.
01:32:23 - It won't be like a Thanksgiving sub
01:32:24 that they do sometimes where it's like turkey stuffing.
01:32:26 - Those are great, those are great.
01:32:27 - No.
01:32:28 - So Joe Swain--
01:32:29 - I'll do it with no cranberry sauce.
01:32:30 - You're scooping out like a couple of slices
01:32:34 of the ocean spray cranberry.
01:32:37 - Yes, with the lines on it.
01:32:38 - You're just cutting it with a fork,
01:32:40 like a fork and an egg.
01:32:40 - And no one else eats it, man.
01:32:43 Like no one else in my family fucks with it.
01:32:44 Like every year, my mom pretty much gets it for me
01:32:47 and I got the whole can of myself.
01:32:49 - It's a gravy guy.
01:32:50 - Gravy doesn't ruin--
01:32:51 - All right, what's yours, Sean?
01:32:52 - My mom will have a little bit of gravy.
01:32:53 - Gravy ruins cranberry sauce.
01:32:54 - Wait, did you do one?
01:32:56 - Me, yeah, stuffing number one,
01:32:58 favorite part of the meal.
01:32:59 - That's not controversial.
01:33:00 - No, this dude--
01:33:00 - Everybody knows stuffing is number one.
01:33:02 - This dude makes it gravy.
01:33:03 - I didn't like that.
01:33:04 - Are you kidding?
01:33:05 - Green beans number two.
01:33:06 - That's weird.
01:33:07 - Wait, Bobby, you use stuffing as your controversial take?
01:33:11 - No, I guess I'm gonna,
01:33:13 I thought John didn't like that one,
01:33:14 but green beans number two--
01:33:15 - I think green beans at two is controversial.
01:33:17 - That's pretty controversial.
01:33:18 No, I actually--
01:33:19 - I mean, what's something that green beans blow?
01:33:20 - I don't consider it Thanksgiving
01:33:22 unless you have at least three types of stuffing.
01:33:24 - That's fair.
01:33:26 - Well, you're Thanksgiving guy.
01:33:27 - I'm not great.
01:33:28 - Oh yeah, that's true.
01:33:29 - No, you need a lot.
01:33:30 - Like what, like sausage or something?
01:33:31 Like what?
01:33:33 Like what kind of stuffing?
01:33:34 - So you can do a couple.
01:33:36 You do the classic dressing in,
01:33:38 classic stuffing in the bird.
01:33:39 You know the difference between stuffing and dressing, right?
01:33:42 If you don't make it in the bird, it's dressing.
01:33:44 It's dressing, it's not stuffing.
01:33:46 - If you don't make it in the bird.
01:33:48 - It's stuffing if it's actually stuffed.
01:33:50 - 'Cause you're not, yeah, you're stuffing the turkey.
01:33:52 - Otherwise it's dressing.
01:33:53 But to me, it's just the different variations
01:33:55 in what you do--
01:33:56 - I don't know if that's true.
01:33:57 - To it.
01:33:58 - So what's your take, John?
01:33:59 We're waiting on it.
01:34:00 - A controversial take?
01:34:01 I was just saying, I already dropped mine with the gravy.
01:34:06 I don't think I can get--
01:34:06 - Yeah, he hates gravy.
01:34:07 - I don't think I can get more controversial than that.
01:34:09 - So you'll just, so, but then you don't eat white turkey,
01:34:11 then you must eat dark turkey.
01:34:13 - When did you realize you didn't like it?
01:34:14 - Yeah, you can't--
01:34:15 - It's not that, what I'm saying is--
01:34:16 - 'Cause I'm sure when you were a kid,
01:34:17 you ate that, you ate gravy.
01:34:18 - I do not think, I do not like lathering my food in stuff.
01:34:23 The food is either good or it's not good.
01:34:26 If something needs to be lathered in flour--
01:34:28 - No gravy?
01:34:29 - If something needs to be slathered with flour
01:34:32 and butter and this and that,
01:34:33 probably don't eat it in the first place.
01:34:35 - So then you don't eat tacos then?
01:34:37 - Eat something delicious first.
01:34:38 - Then you don't eat tacos?
01:34:39 - What do you mean tacos?
01:34:40 (laughing)
01:34:41 - So there's a taco shell with ground beef,
01:34:44 you're just gonna eat it straight up?
01:34:45 - That's different.
01:34:46 - That's different.
01:34:47 - You won't put salsa, no, you won't put salsa on it.
01:34:49 You won't lather it up in salsa,
01:34:50 and you won't put cheese on it.
01:34:51 - That's completely different.
01:34:52 - Absolutely not, I just blew up your take.
01:34:54 - It's not, it's like, do you eat a burger
01:34:56 with cheese or not?
01:34:57 It's a cheeseburger.
01:34:58 - A taco's a cheeseburger in a shell.
01:35:01 - What do you put in your burger?
01:35:02 Catchup mayo?
01:35:03 - I'm not putting gravy on it.
01:35:05 - You put anything on it?
01:35:07 You put any condiments on it?
01:35:08 - No gravy at all?
01:35:10 - I just don't really do the gravy,
01:35:11 and yes, I drink, yes, I eat--
01:35:14 - Are you abstaining from making gravy?
01:35:17 - I don't make gravy.
01:35:18 - I think the argument you guys are having
01:35:19 is if you're gonna label gravy as a condiment,
01:35:22 I feel like is that what this is?
01:35:24 - Gravy, I think--
01:35:25 - I just hear--
01:35:26 - Is it a condiment?
01:35:27 - Here's the thing, I won't not eat even a dab of gravy.
01:35:31 I don't understand the people that have their plate of food
01:35:34 and then they just go, "Bleh, bleh, bleh."
01:35:37 - Those people have diabetes.
01:35:40 - What's the point of that?
01:35:41 It's like, it just becomes a lake of gravy.
01:35:44 - Yeah, you gotta be, it's portion control.
01:35:45 You gotta just, a little touch here,
01:35:48 a little touch here, a little touch there.
01:35:50 - But it's good though, it tastes good.
01:35:52 I mean, you can obviously overdo it
01:35:54 and then just like, no, that's too much,
01:35:56 but I don't understand how you don't like the taste of it.
01:35:58 - I'm only talking about Jimmy's dumb ass
01:36:00 Taco Bell cut tacos, not like actual tacos.
01:36:03 - You said, I don't put, it's either good or it's not good.
01:36:06 - I know what good tacos are.
01:36:07 - It's either good or it's not good.
01:36:09 So okay, so you'll just do a shell with ground beef.
01:36:11 It must be good.
01:36:12 - The ground beef has to be, yeah,
01:36:15 phenomenally seasoned. - Yeah, turkey is planned.
01:36:17 - Fine, there's talk, I'll show you the pies.
01:36:19 Here's the pies. - Nah, this is for bones.
01:36:21 This is for bones, turkey ain't planned.
01:36:22 - Turkey is planned.
01:36:22 Is that where you went?
01:36:23 You went to go take a picture?
01:36:24 All right, take a--
01:36:25 - Did you do this?
01:36:26 - Go clockwise from the top here.
01:36:28 - Top left is the pecan, it's the brownies.
01:36:31 Basically they're pecan pie brownies.
01:36:34 - I was gonna say.
01:36:34 - They're pecan pie brownies.
01:36:35 - Oh, okay, okay.
01:36:36 - So it's a brownie recipe with a pecan pie topping.
01:36:40 - Wow.
01:36:41 - Then you got a cherry pie.
01:36:42 - Wait a second, don't just gloss over that.
01:36:44 It's a brownie with, you put pecans on it?
01:36:47 - I did the whole pecan pie mix.
01:36:51 - What is this, the cooking contest?
01:36:52 - With the brown sugar and the honey and that.
01:36:53 - Wow, and then you, did you combine them all
01:36:57 before you put it in the oven?
01:36:58 - Jimmy, let him keep going.
01:36:59 What are you, judging him?
01:37:00 - You layer it, you put the brownies,
01:37:02 you let it cool a little bit,
01:37:03 and then you put the other stuff on top.
01:37:05 It's kind of a top layer of the pecan pie
01:37:07 on top of the brownie.
01:37:08 - It looks good.
01:37:09 - The next thing isn't a dessert, it's a corn casserole.
01:37:11 That's just there.
01:37:13 - Wow.
01:37:13 - And it's a cherry lattice, it's a pie,
01:37:15 cherry pie with a lattice crust.
01:37:17 I like making those.
01:37:18 Simple pumpkin pie and a basic apple pie.
01:37:20 That's all.
01:37:21 - Corn casserole, that's, instead of corn,
01:37:23 pumpkin looks great.
01:37:24 - That pie looks so good.
01:37:25 - Are those brownies?
01:37:27 - It almost looks fake.
01:37:28 - Wait, Bobby, did you just say all those brownies?
01:37:29 I just spent like 30 minutes talking about the brownies.
01:37:31 - Bobby wasn't listening to a word.
01:37:33 He wasn't listening to a word.
01:37:35 - Those are brownies with a pecan topping, Bobby.
01:37:39 - Brownies with a pecan pie topping.
01:37:42 - Now he's gonna say it again.
01:37:44 - Yeah.
01:37:45 - The corn casserole, so you don't do corn,
01:37:47 you just do corn casserole then.
01:37:49 Is that kind of like corn bread?
01:37:51 I would think it's like a corn bread.
01:37:52 - So it's kind of like, you know,
01:37:54 it's kind of like more like a corn pudding,
01:37:59 if that makes sense.
01:38:01 You know, it's a mash between bread,
01:38:03 but there's like softness in it.
01:38:04 There's some sour cream.
01:38:05 You can put cheese in it if you want.
01:38:07 It's actually really good.
01:38:08 It's better than, you know, it's like moist.
01:38:12 - No, sour cream is one of John's like secret ingredients.
01:38:15 - You got kind of extra with that pie on the left.
01:38:17 Is that your cherry pie?
01:38:19 - Yeah.
01:38:20 - I got kind of extra on that, dude.
01:38:21 With a little like weaving, like a basket going on.
01:38:23 - Right, it looks like a fake.
01:38:25 - It's like a work of art.
01:38:26 - The lattice crust, I love that.
01:38:29 - It's like what you see in the cartoons.
01:38:31 - I wouldn't want anyone to cut into that thing.
01:38:34 - Yeah.
01:38:35 - Just hang it up.
01:38:37 - What's John, if you have to go MFK these,
01:38:40 like which one are you getting rid of?
01:38:42 Which one are you marrying?
01:38:44 - Like I said, we make the basic ones.
01:38:46 - We make the basic ones.
01:38:48 - Actually, we already know what apple pie is all about.
01:38:51 - So the apple pie recipe is perfect.
01:38:56 It's perfect.
01:38:58 Apple's not my favorite pie, but this one's perfect.
01:39:04 - I'm more of an apple crisp guy.
01:39:07 - Me too.
01:39:07 - So there's where you got me.
01:39:10 - I got you there?
01:39:13 - Oh, John just became a favorite.
01:39:15 - No, John Hill.
01:39:16 - Wow.
01:39:17 - Yeah, I will not do that.
01:39:19 - You won't do a crisp on the pie.
01:39:22 - This is from much earlier in the show.
01:39:24 Someone's watching on repeat.
01:39:26 - That's true.
01:39:28 Yeah, I did that.
01:39:30 Hand up, hand up on that.
01:39:31 - I was like-
01:39:34 - I did space out for a second.
01:39:35 - Jimmy and I were having a two man conversation
01:39:38 and then he just stopped and I was like,
01:39:39 Jimmy, we're the only two people here.
01:39:42 You can't not talk to me.
01:39:44 - That happened.
01:39:44 - He's like, yeah, I forgot.
01:39:46 - Yeah, I was like on my phone for a second.
01:39:49 It happens often actually at work, here, dates.
01:39:54 Gotta get off my phone.
01:39:57 - I think it's your attention span.
01:39:59 - Yeah, totally, totally.
01:40:00 - So I don't like the apple crumbles.
01:40:02 That's a no-no for me.
01:40:03 - What's a side?
01:40:04 What's a go-to side, dude?
01:40:06 - Side?
01:40:06 - Yeah, side.
01:40:07 - So not pictured here, and this is,
01:40:10 we were going all day.
01:40:12 I'm making a second stuffing for the thing
01:40:15 that's kind of, it's got like a wild mushroom mix
01:40:19 with leeks and with bacon instead of sausage.
01:40:22 A little bit different.
01:40:23 - Leeks?
01:40:24 - Yeah.
01:40:24 - You could have skipped leeks.
01:40:25 - Yeah.
01:40:27 So there's that.
01:40:28 I have a lobster mac and cheese
01:40:30 is kind of like a side slash second main.
01:40:32 - Lobster mac and cheese?
01:40:34 - Yeah.
01:40:35 - That's pretty good.
01:40:35 - A pumpkin polenta.
01:40:37 Yes, I have that as well.
01:40:40 - Now, okay, now you're getting fancy.
01:40:42 What goes into that besides pumpkin?
01:40:45 - Oh, quite a few things as well.
01:40:47 - Is that like a porridge kind of?
01:40:50 - Yeah.
01:40:51 - You scoop that with a spoon, right?
01:40:54 - And then I also have like a celery and apple salad
01:40:59 with blue cheese and different things like that.
01:41:03 Just a different type of thing.
01:41:04 - Apples with blue cheese.
01:41:05 - And then what was the last dish?
01:41:07 Oh, this one's tricky.
01:41:09 It's called Hasselbeck potatoes au gratin.
01:41:12 They're sliced really thin and kind of arranged in a plate.
01:41:15 It's a pretty dish.
01:41:16 I wish I had that one to show.
01:41:17 - Why are you like this?
01:41:18 - Potatoes au gratin.
01:41:19 - How long you been doing this?
01:41:21 - I love it, man.
01:41:21 I love it.
01:41:22 I can't stop.
01:41:24 I see it.
01:41:25 I'm like, oh, I want to make that too.
01:41:26 And then I just do it.
01:41:27 - How did this happen?
01:41:28 Were you just watching the cooking channel one day or something?
01:41:31 - You need to create a garden report recipe book
01:41:33 instead of like.
01:41:34 - I love it.
01:41:36 I don't even eat most of it.
01:41:37 - High five.
01:41:38 - So here's my Thanksgiving,
01:41:39 my controversial Thanksgiving take, I guess.
01:41:41 - Wait, gravy's not it?
01:41:43 I thought that was the gravy thing.
01:41:44 - That was last year's.
01:41:44 I don't eat much on Thanksgiving.
01:41:46 I hate.
01:41:47 - That's right.
01:41:48 - I hate feeling ridiculously full.
01:41:51 So like I end up just kind of sitting there
01:41:53 and I'm like, I'll do it in like leftovers
01:41:56 and portions over the next three, four days.
01:41:59 Like I'll have a small little plate of this
01:42:00 or small little plate of that.
01:42:01 I can't stand the gorging on Thanksgiving.
01:42:03 I usually kind of center on one thing,
01:42:06 have a little of it, call it a day.
01:42:07 And then I just, you know, might nibble a little bit later.
01:42:10 Then I have a slice of pie and that's it.
01:42:12 - I have another really controversial Thanksgiving take
01:42:17 that I'm backing up tomorrow.
01:42:20 I think the best way to start your Thanksgiving
01:42:23 is with a morning 5K boys.
01:42:25 And I will be running my-
01:42:26 - Oh, you're doing one?
01:42:27 - Doing one tomorrow.
01:42:28 Great Gobbler in Nashville, New Hampshire.
01:42:30 Did it last year.
01:42:31 - Good luck, man.
01:42:32 - Starts at 8 a.m.
01:42:33 - Do it in under a half hour, you'll be fine.
01:42:35 - With some exercise, get the blood flowing,
01:42:37 earn my meal, earn those beers, earn those pies, folks.
01:42:41 Best way to get the day started
01:42:44 and, you know, get some family involved,
01:42:46 maybe see some friends from back home.
01:42:48 Little Thanksgiving 5K, quick 3.2.
01:42:52 - Yeah.
01:42:53 - Best side.
01:42:54 (laughing)
01:42:56 - What's your time gonna be, Jimmy?
01:42:59 What's your time gonna be?
01:43:01 - I mean, last year I think I did a 7-11 mile.
01:43:04 So I'm trying to just break that.
01:43:05 I haven't been running at all, so.
01:43:07 If I can do anything around seven per mile.
01:43:10 - That's fast still.
01:43:12 - Yeah, man.
01:43:12 - Yeah, I was cruising last year.
01:43:13 The weather's looking ideal tomorrow.
01:43:15 - That's a good pace.
01:43:16 - We'll see.
01:43:17 - Yeah, I thought it'd be-
01:43:18 - I'll have my results on the next show.
01:43:20 How about that?
01:43:21 Give you guys my results.
01:43:22 - All right.
01:43:23 You know, those don't lie, so.
01:43:25 - Wow, you got a little budget.
01:43:27 You gotta make something else now.
01:43:29 - So you know what kills you?
01:43:30 - Thanksgiving, buddy.
01:43:31 - Is the frigging, like, the lobster mac.
01:43:34 You know how frigging expensive lobster meat is?
01:43:37 Oh my God.
01:43:38 - Yeah, that's crazy.
01:43:39 Yeah, that's tough.
01:43:42 - Just to put a little,
01:43:43 just to sprinkle a little bit in there.
01:43:45 Oh my God.
01:43:46 - I wanna try it, though.
01:43:49 I'm a huge mac and cheese guy.
01:43:51 - Oh, it's good.
01:43:52 - It's the next level, though.
01:43:53 - Yeah.
01:43:54 - We did a friendsgiving with some friends
01:43:56 a couple of days ago and somebody made mac and cheese.
01:43:58 It was okay.
01:43:59 It wasn't like-
01:44:00 - Yeah, man.
01:44:01 That's the thing.
01:44:02 Like, you gotta really-
01:44:03 - It was kinda crusty, you know?
01:44:05 It was kinda dry.
01:44:06 - It's easy to mess that up.
01:44:07 - Right.
01:44:08 - So, yeah.
01:44:09 - What's amazing is, like, you're like,
01:44:11 there's no fucking way I'm putting this much cheese
01:44:14 and, like, whatever into it, am I?
01:44:16 - And then it tastes bland if you don't, right?
01:44:17 - It is bland if you don't, and you're like, oh my God.
01:44:20 - Splice and cheese for, like, 30 minutes.
01:44:22 - Dude, the hardest thing is the roux.
01:44:24 - Three different kinds?
01:44:24 - You have to stir for, 'cause you make the roux
01:44:28 and it's like the butter and the flour,
01:44:29 and then you pour a shit ton of milk in there.
01:44:32 - Yeah.
01:44:33 - And then you just stir it.
01:44:34 - Heavy cream was going in,
01:44:35 it looked like it was a disaster.
01:44:36 - So, wait for it to get thick,
01:44:37 and you're like, this is never getting thick,
01:44:39 and you're stirring for, like, 15 minutes,
01:44:41 and all of a sudden you're like, bubble, bubble,
01:44:43 bubble, here it comes, you know?
01:44:45 And then it's just this, you put the cheese in there,
01:44:47 it just becomes this sludge.
01:44:49 - Yeah, it was-
01:44:50 - Oh, that sounds bomb.
01:44:51 - It was work.
01:44:52 It was work getting through.
01:44:53 So, sometimes it happens with a friend's giving.
01:44:56 You don't know, can this kid cook?
01:44:58 We're not sure.
01:45:00 He's a friend, but like,
01:45:02 does he just do Uber Eats every night?
01:45:05 Confirmed.
01:45:07 Confirmed he did.
01:45:08 So.
01:45:10 We had good chili, we had good meatballs,
01:45:12 we had some good options there.
01:45:14 It was just, mac and cheese could have been.
01:45:16 - Yeah.
01:45:17 - Maybe next year.
01:45:18 - Yeah.
01:45:19 - My favorite side, I mean, this is so classic.
01:45:22 It's mashed potatoes and gravy.
01:45:23 You get a good mashed potato,
01:45:25 you gotta toss a little gravy and butter on there, John.
01:45:27 I don't know that's like against your religion,
01:45:29 but I'm not eating,
01:45:30 you're not sitting there eating dry mashed potatoes,
01:45:31 are you, John?
01:45:32 You at least put some butter on those, right?
01:45:34 - No, mashed potatoes are delicious on their own.
01:45:36 - But you put butter on them, right?
01:45:38 - I don't put them on them, they're in the mashed potatoes.
01:45:41 - Oh, okay.
01:45:42 - They're potatoes.
01:45:43 - Yeah, you're getting like a already mashed, yeah.
01:45:44 It depends, yeah.
01:45:45 It depends on how it's made.
01:45:46 If it's just made without all that stuff,
01:45:48 you gotta add it to it.
01:45:50 - No, next year we will do this.
01:45:52 You know what killed us with Thanksgiving this year?
01:45:54 - Bobby, he didn't invite us over.
01:45:56 - You know what killed me?
01:45:57 - I don't think he ever is.
01:45:58 - It was early.
01:45:59 It's too early for Thanksgiving.
01:46:01 - Oh, it creeped up on you or something?
01:46:03 - Yeah, it's gotta be next week and we'll do it.
01:46:06 - Yeah, that makes no sense.
01:46:07 - We'll do it, we'll do a live show.
01:46:09 - That's the worst excuse.
01:46:11 - Next year?
01:46:11 (laughing)
01:46:12 - We will do, it's hard to do it live.
01:46:15 We'll tape a show and we'll just have a big meal.
01:46:18 - In the kitchen.
01:46:19 - And whatever happens, happens, yes.
01:46:20 - We'll each cook something.
01:46:23 - Yes.
01:46:24 - Start thinking about what it's gonna be.
01:46:26 - What it's gonna be. - I'm down.
01:46:27 - Don't frigging start bringing green beans
01:46:29 into the conversation, Bobby.
01:46:30 - No, I'm not eating green beans.
01:46:31 - I'm not eating green beans.
01:46:32 - I need you to step it up.
01:46:33 - Don't bring me any vegetables.
01:46:35 - If Bobby pulls up with a green bean casserole,
01:46:38 we'll lose it.
01:46:39 (laughing)
01:46:40 - My butternut squash ravioli
01:46:43 is coming out again this year, boys.
01:46:44 - The mac and cheese, I trust Bobby with that.
01:46:46 - We are gonna do this, by the way, Tony.
01:46:48 We had one last year and we were so busy,
01:46:51 we just didn't fire it off.
01:46:53 So we're gonna come back to the tradition.
01:46:56 - We got one today, we got Tang Wade.
01:46:58 - Huh?
01:46:59 - Yeah, it's a big one, huh?
01:47:00 - We're gonna add that one to the list.
01:47:02 You got Tang, I got Tang Wade tonight, bad.
01:47:04 - Yeah, it was bad.
01:47:05 - It won't be the last time somebody gets Tang Wade,
01:47:06 I promise you that.
01:47:07 - No, it was bad.
01:47:09 - I promise you that.
01:47:10 - Bobby, what'd you think of Luke Cornette tonight?
01:47:13 - He'll be bad.
01:47:14 Matchups.
01:47:16 (laughing)
01:47:19 - I hope he's back.
01:47:21 - Your prediction's still gonna lose.
01:47:22 - Yeah?
01:47:25 - What's that?
01:47:26 - The DMPs one.
01:47:28 - Wish you could navigate the betting field
01:47:31 with the confidence of a pro?
01:47:32 Enter OddsR.
01:47:35 They're not a sports book,
01:47:37 but they're the sports betting advisor you always needed.
01:47:39 It's like having a playbook for smarter bets
01:47:41 right in your pocket.
01:47:43 I've been absolutely loving the experience.
01:47:45 (laughing)
01:47:47 - Oh, he left.
01:47:48 - Bobby wasn't even there for it.
01:47:50 - He got Tang Wade and he left.
01:47:51 We just Tang Wade him off the screen.
01:47:52 - We Tang Wade his ass off the show.
01:47:54 - We Tang Wade him off the show.
01:47:56 Oh my God, we Tang Wade him off the show.
01:47:59 I love that.
01:48:00 - He thinks it's over probably.
01:48:01 - Well, he's got work to do and we're just gonna go,
01:48:04 you know, he's gotta go, so I know.
01:48:06 Bobby, come back, Bobby.
01:48:10 - He literally got Tang Wade off the show.
01:48:13 Happy Thanksgiving, Bobby.
01:48:14 - He's so mad at you guys.
01:48:15 - Oh, he's packing.
01:48:17 No, he's trying to get out of there.
01:48:19 - Yeah, he's upset.
01:48:20 - No.
01:48:21 - I think he wasn't feeling this Thanksgiving
01:48:25 controversial take about 17 minutes into it, maybe.
01:48:28 But we'll see.
01:48:29 - Where did we lose him the other day?
01:48:32 - Oh.
01:48:33 - The candy one?
01:48:34 - How many times?
01:48:35 - This is a good expression.
01:48:39 He got Gary rolled.
01:48:41 (laughing)
01:48:43 Never gonna give you up.
01:48:48 - Yeah.
01:48:50 - Odds are you got Tang Wade.
01:48:53 (laughing)
01:48:54 Odds are your take sucked.
01:48:56 You just got Tang Wade.
01:48:58 - Yeah, maybe it was Halloween candy.
01:49:00 - And when you were trying to find that one YouTube video
01:49:04 and that stupid guy kept popping up,
01:49:05 like back in the day, he saved it.
01:49:08 - There was, no, there was something recently
01:49:09 where Bobby didn't speak for like 20 minutes.
01:49:12 - I think it was the candy conversation around Halloween.
01:49:14 - He was doing his article or something.
01:49:17 - You talking about green beans?
01:49:20 You get the thing.
01:49:21 - You know, after the green bean,
01:49:23 after the green bean take,
01:49:24 it just kind of went downhill from there.
01:49:26 - Yeah, no, all right.
01:49:27 Well, anyway, we hung out for a bit.
01:49:29 We knew this one would be a goofy show.
01:49:31 We're back on Friday.
01:49:32 Everybody, sincerely, have a good Thanksgiving.
01:49:34 - Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
01:49:36 - Thank you guys for hanging out with us.
01:49:37 - Thankful for you all.
01:49:38 - We're thankful for you guys.
01:49:39 - Oh, wait, is he coming back?
01:49:40 Or is it just Tomet?
01:49:40 - It's Tomet.
01:49:41 - It's Tomet, yeah.
01:49:42 - We're thankful for you all.
01:49:43 - You got Tang Wade off the screen.
01:49:44 - We are, I second that, Josue.
01:49:46 - What did he say?
01:49:47 - Absolutely, man.
01:49:48 I just said I'm thankful to everyone watching,
01:49:51 everyone tuned in.
01:49:52 Happy Thanksgiving, man.
01:49:54 The past summer or year or so,
01:49:58 I don't think Bobby and I talk about it.
01:49:59 We've never been approached by so many fans
01:50:01 in Boston and on the road, man.
01:50:04 We really appreciate it, guys.
01:50:05 Thank you, thank you.
01:50:06 - I never get approached.
01:50:08 - Yeah, you do.
01:50:09 Oh, you know what, though?
01:50:10 I wouldn't be surprised if they just say to themselves,
01:50:13 "Oh, that's John Zanis,"
01:50:14 and then they just keep it moving.
01:50:15 - Yeah, there's that miserable prick.
01:50:17 Stay away.
01:50:17 - Fuck that guy.
01:50:20 - Hey, see that guy over there?
01:50:21 He'll ruin your day.
01:50:23 Stay far away.
01:50:25 - And then he tells all of his friends,
01:50:26 "I saw John Zanis there,
01:50:27 "but never approached him, I could see."
01:50:29 - Yeah, there was a rain cloud just over his head
01:50:32 as he was walking down the street.
01:50:34 - They'd rather talk to you here, so.
01:50:38 But yeah, but no, seriously, thanks, guys.
01:50:40 - Yeah, maybe it's 'cause I don't leave the house.
01:50:41 I think it's also because I'm just surrounded
01:50:44 by too many olds,
01:50:45 and they don't even know how to use the internet.
01:50:48 - Yeah, that's true.
01:50:49 - Yeah, that's my problem.
01:50:50 - It's usually younger people, I guess.
01:50:53 That's true. - It is younger people.
01:50:55 - Yeah, no, it is.
01:50:55 Like I said, it's my neighbor's kids who recognize me.
01:50:59 I'm not kidding.
01:51:00 - I always say, when that happens,
01:51:04 I always say, "Oh, that's a diehard Celtics fan right there,"
01:51:07 because if he recognizes us,
01:51:09 that means he's not a casual, so.
01:51:10 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:51:11 - He's got sleepless nights.
01:51:12 - He's going deep.
01:51:13 - He's going deep, right?
01:51:14 - He doesn't miss a room.
01:51:15 - Deep cut.
01:51:16 - All right, guys, back on Friday.
01:51:20 It's a weird midday show, but I'll be here.
01:51:22 I'm not sure how else.
01:51:24 - You gotta sneak it in, maybe.
01:51:26 I'm actually golfing Friday in the morning,
01:51:28 believe it or not.
01:51:29 - That is nice. - Thanksgiving tournament.
01:51:30 - You know what else I do on Thanksgiving?
01:51:32 - You're a busy-ass day, Jimmy.
01:51:34 - 8 a.m. on Friday morning.
01:51:36 - One of my favorite things is holiday.
01:51:39 You say you do a run?
01:51:41 - Yep.
01:51:42 - If the weather's okay, I go on a holiday bike ride,
01:51:45 because it's amazing to have nothing on the street.
01:51:50 It's unreal.
01:51:51 You just go.
01:51:52 It's like the whole, there's nobody out there.
01:51:55 It's awesome.
01:51:56 So anytime the weather's okay,
01:51:58 I try to sneak one in in the morning.
01:51:58 - And it's the last calm day before,
01:52:01 over for the next six weeks.
01:52:03 - Six weeks until New Year.
01:52:05 - Yep, yep.
01:52:07 - So what is the weather?
01:52:09 - People become the worst.
01:52:11 - What is the weather?
01:52:12 - The weather's gonna be tomorrow?
01:52:13 - Yeah.
01:52:14 - Mid-40s, I think.
01:52:16 Mid to upper 40s.
01:52:17 - All right, we'll see.
01:52:18 - I think it's gonna peak at like 48 or something.
01:52:21 Sunny, though.
01:52:22 - Sunny might do it for me.
01:52:23 I might sneak one in.
01:52:24 Anyway, thank you guys again for hanging out with us.
01:52:26 We will see you guys on Friday.
01:52:27 Happy Thanksgiving, all.
