00:08 He'll use his oat boat until he manages to get the ball without getting wet.

00:14 It's as if the floor, or should I say the water, is lava.

00:18 Go get it.

00:19 And the most ridiculous part is that once he's able to grab the ball,

00:22 he will jump off and get it that way,

00:25 as if that wasn't the most obvious option from the very start.

00:29 Because funny enough, Oatmeal's most favorite thing to do in this world is swim.

00:34 And once he's in the water, there is simply no way of getting him out.

00:38 Not a day goes by without him cracking me up.

00:43 Either with his T-Rex impersonations,

00:45 or his classic "the clingiest dog on this planet" act,

00:49 where he'll hold onto me like a little princess.

00:52 I love him so much, which is why most of my earnings are spent on him.

00:57 And for the past couple of months, I've been renting homes with pool

01:00 so he can do his favorite thing in the world.

01:02 Oatmeal's love for swimming began over a year ago,

01:10 when I used to live with my ex, who had a backyard pool.

01:12 Rough day at the office.

01:19 Am I right, Oatmeal, or am I right?

01:21 When we broke up, I lost a partner, and he lost, well, pool access.

01:27 This transition was definitely a difficult time for me,

01:30 and watching my best friend lose his spark made it even harder.

01:33 So one day, I had a random idea.

01:35 Let's rent a dog-friendly vacation home with a pool, just as a temporary escape.

01:41 And Oatmeal had the absolute best time.

01:44 So much so, that I knew I had to do it again.

01:47 So I started saving some money and making it a weekly thing.

01:49 During that time, I would post a couple of videos from our pool adventures,

01:54 and to my surprise, they blew up overnight.

01:57 My friend is flying!

01:58 And eventually, we were able to continue to travel and rent more places throughout the year.

02:02 Looking back, I couldn't be more thankful for all of the turns this chapter of my life has taken.

02:11 What started out as an escape plan turned into the biggest dream come true.

02:23 And now, we are finally moving into our very own place, with 24-hour pool access nearby.

02:28 And all thanks to Oatmeal, because without him, I wouldn't have ever dreamt this big.
