One year post-LGBTQ+ nightclub shooting: Community feels supported, work continues

After the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ nightclub shooting in November, where five people lost their lives and 17 wounded, the conservative community faced criticism for its perceived lack of LGBTQ+ inclusivity. The shooter's motive, now serving life in prison, is unknown. Despite officials speaking at the anniversary event, the city's LGBTQ+ community believes more work is needed to restore safety and inclusivity.
