Federal Jury Convicts Attacker of Nancy Pelosi's Husband in Violent Home Invasion
  • 5 months ago
A federal jury convicted David Wayne DePape of attacking Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi, with a hammer in their San Francisco home in October 2022. DePape broke into the Pelosi home while Nancy Pelosi was in Washington D.C. and struck Paul Pelosi in the head, knocking him unconscious and causing skull fractures and injuries to his hands and right arm. DePape was convicted of attempted kidnapping and assault of an immediate family member of a federal official, carrying potential prison sentences of 20-30 years under federal sentencing guidelines. The defense argued DePape was motivated by political conspiracy theories rather than Nancy Pelosi's position.
