00:05 update video, actually I'm stood here at the newest building of UCLan campus in Preston

00:11 where I've been talking to students about policing, about the future of policing here

00:15 in Lancashire, about building up that visible policing presence in our communities, in city

00:21 centres like this to make sure that the night time economy is as safe as possible, to make

00:25 sure that things like Op Night Guardian are really making a difference to keep people

00:30 safe all the way through to how we're tackling domestic abuse and sexual violence and dealing

00:35 with things, serious assaults such as rape across Lancashire, making sure there is a

00:39 zero tolerance approach to such crimes and making sure that those dedicated teams that

00:44 we put in place to tackle those crimes are delivering on an increase in positive outcomes.

00:50 It's brilliant getting out and about, talking to so many different communities in Lancashire.

00:54 It was a key part of my job as the public's voice in policing to be your voice to be out

01:00 and about whether it be students.

01:02 Now I'm off to Kirkham Town Centre after this to meet the Mayor and talk to businesses.
