John Burton on 60 years of cricket

John Burton has been playing cricket with Wilmot for 60 years, and is about to represent Tasmania in the over 70s team. Video by Laura Smith

00:02 - I like cricket and I was lucky enough

00:06 to play with my four sons with Wilma.

00:09 '69 we had to leave, we played in the Kentish Association.

00:14 I started when I was 13.

00:15 Lake Barrington, it was closer to go to the Levens,

00:21 so we played in the Levens.

00:23 Now the Levens fell over and we were in Noorthey Valley.

00:29 Now we've gone in, we've got three sides

00:32 for the last couple of years,

00:33 thanks to Richie Miles, he's done a top job there.

00:36 We always enjoy playing together.

00:38 There's a lot of, against the other states,

00:40 we always have a lot of fun, yeah.
