00:32 Then you're gonna love what the guys at Roush have in store for
00:35 the latest Ford Pony car.
00:37 They call it the 427R, and for the first time,
00:40 Roush is able to offer this package alongside the recently launched 2010 Mustang.
00:45 So what does the $14,156 427R package offer?
00:50 A host of exterior and interior upgrades, but most importantly,
00:55 an intercooled, root-style supercharger bolted to the Mustang's 4.6 liter V8.
01:00 Roush technicians have also upgraded the engine control module, radiator, and
01:05 intake to accommodate the extra output.
01:08 How much extra output?
01:09 Power jumps from the stock Mustang's 315 horses to 435 in the 427R.
01:16 Torque goes from 325 pound feet to 400 even.
01:20 At the track, this amounts to a 0 to 60 time of 4.7 seconds.
01:24 The quarter mile comes in at 13.1 seconds at 108.8 miles per hour.
01:30 Our 427R came with a host of options, including 20 inch wheels,
01:35 sticky Dunlop tires, and a performance brake package.
01:39 These helped haul the 427R to a stop in 111 feet.
01:48 To ensure the Mustang doesn't just look good and go fast in a straight line,
01:52 the 427R package includes a full suspension upgrade.
01:56 On the skid pad, this allows the 427R to pull 0.90 g laterally and
02:01 cut up our figure eight course in 25.5 seconds at 0.75 g.

02:13 Well, you're in luck, because Roush has a number of additional performance and
02:17 styling accessories for the Mustang, including graphics packages,
02:21 signature suede seat inserts, a trick vent mounted boost gauge,
02:28 and short throw shift kit with cue ball shift knob.
02:32 Add them up, however, and you've got a Mustang that costs well over $55,000.
