00:15 Two sets of characters will be thrust into sizzling affairs over coming months, with

00:19 show boss Ian McLeod promising that they're gripping, and one is "sexy".

00:24 The return of Damon Haye will throw Sarah Platt, setting pulses racing.

00:29 Her short-lived romance with the bad boy was packed full of sparks, and when Damon arrives

00:34 back on the cobbles, defying Adam Barlow's threats, his agenda to win back Sarah is instantly

00:39 clear.

00:41 And it's not long until these desires are reciprocated.

00:44 Damon has been somewhere away from Coronation Street plotting his revenge, Corrie's producer

00:49 told us.

00:50 The story then becomes a kind of love triangle where Damon, we also imagine has been spending

00:55 his intervening months pining for Sarah.

00:58 "I felt there was really intense feeling between those two, but really natural chemistry and

01:03 connection," and he comes back with a kind of two-pronged plan.

01:07 The first of them is that he wants to get his revenge on Adam and the second of them

01:10 is that he wants Sarah back because he feels like she's the one.

01:14 And he will essentially have to contend with the fact that these two plans might not be

01:18 compatible.

01:19 Enthusing the high drama to come as a result, he continued, "It's a brilliant, exciting,

01:25 high-octane story.

01:27 The storyline is packed full of twists and turns and excitement, dare I say it in this

01:31 day and age, but it's quite sexy as well.

01:34 I think it's got lots of intensity and passion."

01:37 As it shakes down, Damon's revenge may start to take a backseat to his feelings for Sarah.

01:43 But just in case you thought that that was all going to be smooth running from there,

01:47 Adam can't stand the idea that this guy's back and he's maybe got designs on Sarah who

01:51 is at this point still his wife.

01:53 You might want rid of Damon, so is Damon's calming down and Adam's going into the direction

01:58 and his plans to rid himself of Damon.

02:01 Away from this very fiery trio, there is already a complex love triangle between Daisy Midgley,

02:07 Daniel Osbourne and Ryan Prescott.

02:10 Ian confirmed that it won't be long before Daniel gets suspicious and finds out, leading

02:14 him down a dark and dangerous path.

02:17 He revealed, "It all comes crashing down, there's some fantastic scenes concerning the end of

02:22 that relationship, some big dilemmas for Daisy in terms of, if not Daniel, then is Ryan the

02:27 right choice, if I were to choose him, would that be purely because he's now the default

02:32 setting or is that really what I want?"

02:35 And obviously Ryan in the middle of that is quite a vulnerable guy at this time and stands

02:39 to get his heart trampled on if he's not careful.

02:42 Not complicated enough, throw a returning Bethany Platt into the mix, and there is even

02:47 more chaos.

02:48 Ian teased that Bethany and Daisy will have an almighty clash, butting heads due to their

02:53 feelings for Daniel.

02:55 "It's going to run deep into next year as all these unresolved feelings are buried,

02:59 but, like all good buried feelings, they all come back to the surface with a bang or two

03:04 across the following 12 months," he revealed.

03:07 Bethany is instantly a foe for Daisy, they're very evenly matched now, Bethany might once

03:13 have seemed like a younger woman or a girl.

03:15 She's very much more a woman now, more on Daisy's level, so it's a really heavyweight

03:19 tussle between these two women, which I'm really looking forward to see more.
