I Am Legend's Alternate Ending Changes Everything

The 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller "I Am Legend" did very well at the box office, and star Will Smith was widely praised for his lead performance, but many fans of the 1954 Richard Matheson novel were disappointed by the adaptation. In the film, Smith plays U.S. Army virologist Robert Neville, who is possibly the last surviving human on Earth after a pandemic has transformed the rest of humanity into what seems like soulless zombies.
